Room and the price paid for it was very good. Nice and clean, great bathroom. Nespresso coffee machine and fridge in room. Lifts were a letdown, at times just one was working and the queue and wait time was horrendous.

Tired old building. Reception and bar area are nice. Being a le to stream to TVs in room was good. Lifts were ropey at best. We walked 9stories. Car park is limited to 1.7m high. Rooms just look tired. Not 4star. Tired 3 star with decent bar area is a better description.

Hotel was great, staff were brilliant, the only thing that let it down was the lack of lifts! I have had a hip replacement and we walked down from the 10th floor! All in all I would recommend and we would stay again and hope the lifts are working by then!

Excellent property. Clean rooms. The gym at the hotel was big and in excellent condition. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The location of the hotel was great and has parking on site, which is a bonus. However, please note the height restrictions. We got stuck in the lift and you could not hear the instructions from Otis, therefore, the company needs to make sure these are maintained to a better standard as they are used constantly.

Modern well kept hotel. Staff all friendly. Convenient parking. Great location for bars and restaurants. Easy walk to the arena. Tram transport near by for city centre visits. Plentiful breakfast. Only negative, lifts are slow. Would definitely come again.

The hotel is in a great location on Broad Street. However the parking is expensive at £18.50 for 24 hours (in May 2025). It would put me off staying for more than one day. The lifts get busy and it was time consuming waiting to get up and down to the 7th floor.

Great staff, comfy room and super shower. Sadly we could not get into the car park because of non residents using it (how do they get in?). Bar was ridiculously busy with just 2 staff, but they worked hard, and we eventually got a drink. Will use again.

Our room was very clean, the a/c actually worked kept room cool. Beds were very comfortable and bathroom clean too.

From arrival for check in, despite completing the online check in, was told to join the 20 person deep que as the online check in desk wasn't open. Only for one person to approach a member of staff and speak in there native language to allow them to jump the que and check in at the online desk, after me approaching was told no to than question why, he than grumbled in a foreign language before giving me my key. The room debating if it was actually fully clean, post it notes left on the desk noting works needed. with light bulbs left, noticed everything on this post it hadn't been completed, toilet filthy, bed linen dirty. Reception claimed no other rooms available unless I wish to pay and upgrade fee but they'll TRY to get issues sorted. After going out no issues sorted late at night, staff advised nobody is around to change or even provide linen, or change the room. If we hadn't had a few drinks I would've left and drove home.

Clean room. Helpful staff. Very busy hotel. Breakfast a bit expensive. Car parking is not ideal.

I had a short stay here and found the team to be friendly and helpful. The hotel was tired in various areas, but that did not change that it was comfortable and clean.

Room was spotless, we stayed in room 1627. Nice and spacious, was very quiet. Staff were very tentative and friendly.

Everything looked lovely on arrival, lovely and clean etc until I pulled bed cover back to get in to bed. There was a lovely big handprint on the bedsheet. Husband went down to reception to complain offered him a drink at the bar by way of compensation!! We were going to bed!! Night porter came up to change sheet. Had to re-do it when he left. Next morning 5.30 the service lift which was next to our room ( hadn't been told) started moving up and down and it was relentless. Across from our room was the store room. Staff in and out rattling cups, bottles laughing joking all from the same time. Luckily we were up early to go and explore. Next morning was Saturday. Check out was 11. Lift started at 7.20 no chance of a lay in. On checking out complained to person on the desk who by way of apology offered free parking and breakfast on our next visit. Promptly told him we probably wouldn't be returning and asked for a partial refund that he agreed to but would have to go through hotels.com. We accepted a 30 percent and was told to contact Hotels.com. He assured us this would be done. Following Monday I contacted Hotels.com who were very good and tried to contact the hotel for the refund to be authorised but to no avail so basically they lied just to fob us off!! Will definitely not return to this hotel. Not an unreasonable person. I get the staff have a job to do etc if we had been told about the lift perhaps could have asked for a different room but the handprint unforgivable.

Amazing stay. Really comfy bed in a clean and spacious room. Bathroom well kept and clean.

the hotel has had a nice refurb since it was a Jury's Inn but the walls are still paper thin so I had loud music coming from the room next door. Reception told me there are there 24 hours a day in case I had issues refused to answer the phone repeatedly at 22:30. I had colleagues there the same night who could hear each others alarm clocks the next morning.

Pleasantly surprised by the high standard, the mini fridge, coffee maker, kettle with various teas/coffees, water, wine glasses, fantastic. Shower was amazing, lovely toiletries in the bathroom and a hairdryer provided too. The bed was super comfortable with ample number of pillows, and the view from the 16th floor was great. The hotel bar stayed open till 2am, doing cocktails and plenty of other choices. All in all I would thoroughly recommend this hotel 🙌

All we heard during the night was the lift whirring away. The room was looking out onto the road, so kept up till about 3am with music and people shouting. Not at all a pleasant experience

Prosecco upon arrival, easy check in, lovely hotel and friendly staff, great location, rooms were stunning and the beds SO comfortable! Good security upon return when we turned up at 3am which made us feel safe.

Lovely hotel but no parking available for our family, we had to walk over a mile to the hotel. We stayed on the 7th floor and all night we could hear load music and the elevator going up and down.

Was lovely and comfortable and excellent location. Had to complain twice about the noise in the room next door (1408, we were in 1410). This was addressed by the manager straight away. However when I called down to reception at 23.40 to complain about the noise again this was not addressed which we weren’t happy about at all. This hotel is huge, they never even offered to move us

Excellent service on arrival - complimentary Prosecco and great guest relations. However ……. our room was adjoining another. Although the door was obviously locked there was NO sound privacy. Our neighbours were’t particularly noisy but you could hear everything from bathroom noises (the worst kind!) to music choice and discussions on the days events - word for word. I would recommend if booking here to check your room isn’t joined - unless you like sharing other people experiences!

Clean but very small room. Our room was on the 13th floor right next to the lifts that’s were incredibly noisy. All through the night the lifts were going up and down so we didn’t have a great sleep.

The hotel looks great, the room was ok We Was on the 2nd floor the noise from the clubs was going on till 4 am the room was not sound proof, we had no sleep from the exterior noise and the interior noise from what sounded like a brothel and we could smell someone smoking weed.

The hotel itsself is about as good as you can expect for a cost effective room in a city centre. Can’t really fault anything other than the room being very warm, air con being stuck on heat and locked panel meaning it couldn’t be adjusted. Windows also don’t open. When we asked reception for a fan before going out, we returned to find two fan heaters had been put in the room and left running so it was even hotter than when we left. We did finally get a fan delivered to the room just after midnight!

Hotel was lovely and most of the staff were helpful and friendly. Room was clean and had what was needed with the exception of the TV which was broken when we arrived. The TV had no picture so we called reception straight away. They sent someone after over half an hour wait who didnt look at it, said we could move rooms or wait until maintenence came the following day to fix or replace it. We went out the following morning but when we got back, no-one had even been to look at it. I rang reception again and they apologised and said they would speak to the manager and ring me back. After waiting for an hour, we were ready to go out so went to reception and asked again about the TV. The manager was called who straight away went on the defensive claiming he had called the room twice and we hadn't answered. He was rude and defensive and said the TV couldnt be fixed or replaced (no one had even looked at it to try) and the only choice was to move rooms. We only had one night left so didnt want to move. If we had been told in the first place that they wouldnt even bother to try and fix or replace the TV, we would have moved the day before. The manager's rudeness spoiled our stay

The staff at this hotel were unbelievably rude. I’ve stayed in thousands of hotels for both work and leisure, and I’ve never experienced anything like this. I booked a room with two double beds for three of us. A fourth person (a family member) decided to join later. Based on reviews online, others had stayed as a group of four in similar rooms, so I assumed it would be fine. We all checked in together and were never told there would be an issue. Later that evening around midnight, we returned and were stopped by security, who demanded our room number and sent us to reception, refusing to let us upstairs. Reception then claimed the room wasn’t suitable for four. I explained the situation, including that we had already checked in, taken our things to the room, and there were two beds. The manager (I think) an older gentleman—spoke to us with the worst attitude I’ve ever encountered, literally saying, “not my problem” and walking off. We were left stranded in reception as the older man walked off, four young women at midnight in Birmingham. Eventually, another staff member said we could stay in the room if we paid £30 on the spot. We had no choice, but why did we need to pay more for the same room? It felt like a scam. To make matters worse, bar staff were seen laughing and joking about a woman completely unconscious passed out in the lobby awaiting paramedics. Completely unacceptable behavior - I would never stay here again purely based on the vile attitude of the staff.

Had messaged prior to arrival but received no confirmation on requests. My wife had mixed messages on check-in but settled on a room as just needed to get organised. No guest services as when remote failed was told to “come down and we will fix” instead of coming up to resolve. Why because “we haven’t got anyone down here to come up- I am on my own “ ( at 10pm!). Earlier whilst waiting to order drinks at bar, continuously overlooked/ignored. During breakfast it was busy and when I asked if they could wipe table and hot cutlery was told to look around corner for cutlery, same for coffee mugs. Just chaotic with little customer service or consideration. If you know you are going to be busy make director staff up properly and don’t just treat you customers with contempt.

Room wasn’t ready when we arrived. Staff found us a comfortable area to wait and provided us with complimentary drinks.

Had a lovely stay. Was able to check in early which was great. Room was clean, quiet, comfy beds. Pillows were a bit too firm, would suggest a variation to suit all preferences. Staff very friendly. HOWEVER….. I left a small mirror in the room, I phoned the hotel a few hours later once I was home and unpacked to advise them. Was told that housekeeping would check the room and could take anything from 1 day to 7 days for them to report it to reception. I phoned the next day, was told wouldn’t know until 3.00 pm that day (Monday) and I would be phoned after that time. No phone call. Made another call the next day (Tuesday) to be told it had been found, they would weigh the parcel and phone me to make payment, Heard nothing . Phoned again on Sunday, a week after first reporting. Was told it would be posted on Tuesday….. still not had a phone call. Item is not valuable but still wanted it returned. So, hotel is lovely to stay in but please don’t leave anything in your room as you won’t get it back!!! Hotel needs to sort out it’s lost item policy.

The hotel was great, easy nights stay nothing was too much trouble. Literally a 5 minute walk to the stadium. Very easy - well lit . Felt safe.

Great hotel in a great location for our needs, within a short walking distance of the Bullring for shopping and Chinatown for eating, with lots of bars and restaurants close by along the canals. Can be a bit noisy and lively at the weekend with the nightlife close by, but it didn't affect us, as our room was to the rear.

Walking distance to canal, city centre and O2 academy. Great hotel however very noisy clubs in the area on Saturday.

Very nice hotel convenient to the Utilita Arena with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby.

Staff were very friendly, room lovely and clean with excellent facilities and delicious breakfast with huge variety. Only comment was paintwork not quite finished around the window in bedroom but didn't impact stay.

Stayed here for a concert at Utilita Arena. Considering the closeness of the hotel to the arena the hotel wasn’t prepared for lots of visitirs with over a 40 minute queue to get into breakfast (gave up and requested refund for breakfast) and queues at the bar on Sunday night.

Tired room and not a comfy bed. Really overpriced bar. I mean how much for a bottle of coke, you just be joking. Staff need trainjng on coffee too, awful for the cost

Friday night stay, great location with on-site parking (18.50 for 24hr). Superior king had plenty of space, amenities & smart tv with chromecast. Complimentary bottled water. Hotel seems overwhelmed with the number of guests. Lifts are a major issue, SUPER slow causing ques and stopping at multiple floors, took +5mins to reach out floor each time. Breakfast was underwhelming, no plates on many stations, things running out, 10min wait for omelettes & generally poor selection of cold items & not many non-pork meat options either.

Liked the comfort of the beds spacious room with large TV in room, complimentry water bottles, coffee machine all was ok just disappointed with the supposed 24 hour snacks not being available the excuse was they were having problems with the oven although it was just a sandwich I wanted. My last stay didn't have them available as they were having chef problems. The Duty Manager will look into these problems though.

The hotel is lovely and has a luxurious feel - room was great - check in was easy and they accommodated us arriving early. Check out was super easy with the ‘drop off’ box. What let our stay down was breakfast - it was very chaotic and disorganised. We had to ask several times for cutlery, there were long queues for food (people waiting for omelettes made it hard to get other food items), there was a shortage of bowls/plates, and one of the coffee machines was broken - I gave up on coffee as there were no clean mugs when I got to the head of the queue. People on table next to us were very unhappy, as they went to get food and waiters cleared several other tables and put all the dirty cups and plates on their table! It was a shambles, and spoilt what was otherwise a lovely stay.

Lovely 1 night stay, beds were very comfy. Room was well eqiped and very clean. The bathroom was very nice with an amazing shower! Breakfast was one of the best UK hotel breakfasts id had, so much choice in both hot and cold buffet. Gluten free options, including bread (toasted separately) and cereal.
