It is a wonderful hotel/resort. It offered many amenities including pools, snorkeling and other water sports, tennis, etc. you could spend days there just doing everything or nothing. The staff was always courteous, helpful and cheerful. The breakfast buffet was so good that one will have to really watch it. Made me wish I could have stayed longer.

スタッフの方の気遣いや気持ち良いほどの笑顔で挨拶、掃除の行き届き方、館内の匂いなど何をとっても最高級でした。オーシャンクラブラウンジを利用しましたが、とてもよかったです。ラウンジが利用できるだけでなく、シュノーケルセット、カヤックも無料で無制限に使えるので大変重宝しました。値は張りますがお勧めです。ディナーはAQUAというイタリア料理のお店を使いましたが、ピザが特に美味しかったです。今回は2人で利用しましたが、次回は両親も連れて行きたいと思います。

The private beach and overall facilities were excellent. The staff’s thoughtful service especially regarding our anniversary truly made our stay special. Everything was wonderful from start to finish. We would definitely consider returning to the club floor again for our next anniversary. However, The breakfast did not quite meet expectations, as there were fewer choices and less variety than anticipated.

PROs: ALL their staff are very welcoming , accommodating, conversant, great sense of picking up what is needed or how to make your stay very worthwhile , watchful for your safety( lifeguards everywhere ); had a sea view with balcony overlooking the main pool and part of the sea and lobby lounge with very comfortable bed and working air conditioning system; 4 bottled water is provided daily as needed which is great; had a great time snorkeling, enjoying the beach & pools, had the best fish fry and restaurant made tartar sauce in the Lobby lounge, delicious Mactan fruity signature drink by Cowrie Bar, lots of choices by the Tides breakfast buffet, and huge yummy hotdog by the Breeze beach restaurant ; so far cannot find 1 bit of a con.

Good dining options. Staff were excellent with hospitality and service. Hotel was showing signs of ageing and the room carpets were a little dirty-daughter had rashes on her leg each time she sat on the carpet. Soundproofing in the rooms can be a little better too, could hear everything going on in the busy corridor and thumping from upstairs too. Overall still a pleasant stay!

Much about this hotel is excellent—5-star, but not everything. The staff operates at an international top level, truly 5+ stars. We were shocked on our first day to find a queue with a waiting list for breakfast. However, we spoke with Pam, who is in charge, and she did everything she could to rectify the situation. Throughout our stay, she showed great dedication to ensuring our satisfaction. The same goes for Raymund and Valent—care transformed into action at the highest level! The issue is that the breakfast area is too small to accommodate the large number of guests who often arrive at the same time, especially on rainy days. What else is outstanding? The beach, the spa offerings, the gym, and the beautifully maintained gardens. The biggest downside was the room, which appears to have never been renovated since the hotel was built about 30 years ago. Additionally, it was noticeably damp, had a faint musty odor, and showed clear signs of mold on the bathroom ceiling. This is completely unacceptable for any hotel, regardless of its star rating.

While it’s clear this resort was once a true 5-star destination, the rooms are ridiculously in need of major refurbishment. We stayed in a family deluxe room and a twin ocean view room on the 7th floor of the main wing and how embarrassing is it that their mattress boxes are threadbare in several areas. One of our rooms (7103) had a disgusting smell and a running toilet. Carpet in the hall and ornate wooden panels on the walls of the hallway need repair or replacement. The elevator doors and buttons were always smudged and never seemed to be wiped down. When it rained, a white foam appeared on the balcony floor. That being said, the staff, every single one of them, were amazing and exemplified true Filipino hospitality. Everyone repeats your order to ensure accuracy and requests were handled promptly. Other highlights were the Chi Spa, which we’d definitely come back for (shout out to Noemi, salamat po), the Ocean wing pool, beach area, and Tides buffet. I had asked about access to the Ocean wing pool as a main wing guest and was told by the operator that we could not use it but one of the Ocean wing guests we met at the beach let me know that we should be able to use it, so we tried and the staff there had no problems with us staying. It is a much nicer pool with a better view than the main pool. For those with young kids, the resort has tons of activities to keep them occupied. We would have definitely used the game room and playground a few years ago.

Its an old hotel. Room is appropriate size and convenient bed. But seems overed booked. Too many people in breakfast place. I had to await for a while to have a seat, bread part is good, but no good for general food. Swimming pool water is too dirty, i had never seen anybody who get rid of leafs and waste during my stay. Private beach is best in this hotel you would see nimo. No various activity in small kids zone. And too short time in inside play ground with coupon. I think this hotel needs to expand facility for kids and make them in free. Expensive hotel cost and additional cost for kids? Also deposit 400 usd per room is rediculous. Room to sleep and private beach is good and nothing is good in this hotel.

Nice beach and pools. I liked the dinner with cultural show. Unfortunately my husband and I got diarrhea after. The service is great but the property needs a facelift. Lots of broken things. Our room has a sewage smell in the bathroom. And the elevators were down! We had to carry our luggage’s and with a toddler and a stroller and backpacks it was a feat. There were trash at the beach too. And although they have lots of activities, you have to pay extra for them. I won’t be going back. Didn’t experience these at marriot hotels.

The ocean view was truly breathtaking, and we enjoyed our time relaxing by the balcony overlooking the pool and sea. The staff was warm and accommodating, and the resort facilities lived up to Shangri-La’s reputation for luxury. The resort itself is pretty amazing and service was excellent including onsite medical care. But it's far from anything it you need any supplies from the cebu city area, about 1hr each way by car. Our room was basic and fine, but one light did not work and the tv had poor image and sound. Though we didn't use it much, it was annoying when we did.

Excellent customer service! We were greeted by staff with a smile and willingness to assist when needed. A special thank you to Chris and Jessie from the beach resort area for their quick response to emergency situations. They are very attentive, observant of people in the water who are swimming, kayaking and jet skiing. We needed assistance while we were jet skiing and Chris and Jessie responded and attended to us immediately. Luckily we did not get hurt during the incident. It was very comforting to have staff members like Chris and Jessie because they made us feel safe. Thank you again. We enjoyed our stay at the Shangri-La!

Some say its old. Some say its dirty. If youve been staying at Fourseasons that buolt within 2-3 yrs for all your travels, you might feel that way. But Shanggri La Cebu was a top tier experience for me who had chance to visit various 5 star resorts in Maldives, Thai, Viet and Cancun. Food is 4/5. (Breakfast was not the best) Facility 4/5. (A bit old but maintenance is excellent) Service 4.5/5. (Good english with quick services) Hygiene 4/5 (Pool water is clean but private beach need more often cleanup)

Tried to have dinner date with my wife at Buko Bar on March 8, 2025, but the host denied us entry because he said we did not have reservations and the covered tables are limited. Although it wasn’t raining at all that night, we were not given any other options like occupy an uncovered table. I guess we don’t look foreign enough or wearing designer clothes to be let in. We traveled all over the world and this is the first time we were targeted and discriminated upon. The irony is my wife and I was born and raised from the Philippines. Our wedding anniversary was ruined because of one judge mental host. Nowhere was it explained during check in that reservations are required for this restaurant at all. We will never set foot at this property ever again! I’ll just go wherever my money is welcome.

Hotel is great and all the amenities that are available in there. Lots of options for breakfast and staff were very friendly and helpful. There’s not really anything to do outside of the resort and prices in the restaurants and bars on site are expensive for the Philippines. If you like resort holidays it’s an amazing option.

大きなリゾートホテルという感じでサービスもとてもよかった。５歳の娘がいたが、スタッフが子供に優しくて過ごしやすいホテルでした。ホテルの周りは夜はスラムのような感じで出歩いてフラフラするような場所では無いです。ただ、ホテル内がかなり広いので1日中過ごせますし、外出して帰ってくるたびにゲート、手荷物検査があるためホテル内は安心安全です。朝食ビュッフェも中々美味しいですし、とても良いホテルでした。

Although a little far from central Cebu city and older - it retains its beautiful grounds. Had a nice stay. Watch out for the live sea anemones that look like rocks in the water at the beach. No caution signs and sat on it and was stung badly. Was not the first person that day.

This is a hard review. The property is great, and the people/service were amazing and deserve a 5 star rating. That said, the problem is that this is a high end resort, and at that price point comes higher expectations, and the food & drinks did not live up to it. Their cocktails were watered down and just not very good, and we tried a bunch of them (Pina Colada, Margaritas, Rum punches, Mai Tais), you name it, if it was on the menu, we tried it, and they were all just disappointing. For the prices charged, I expect the food to be better, and the drinks to be well made and stronger. I settled on a 3 star rating because the property itself is very nice, maybe a bit dates, but classically well done. The service and staff were fantastic (especially the club lounge servers!). The food and drink elsewhere was, with few exceptions (the Korean night chef was fantastic), not very good.

Our room has a sewage smell in the bathroom. And the elevators were down! We had to carry our luggage’s and with a toddler and a stroller and backpacks it was a feat. There were trash at the beach too. And although they have lots of activities, you have to pay extra for them. I won’t be going back. Didn’t experience these at marriot hotels.

Staff were wonderful. Lots of restaurants to chose from. Wish the buffet had more options for the price.

Me and my Fiance had a romantic dinner at the cove. We had the worst food poisoning for 2 days and did not get to enjoy our stay in Shang ri la. Will not be going back to that restaurant or the hotel.

夜のバイキングビュッフェを8時半に予約したら9時半で料理ストップだった。夕食しかもバイキングならもう少し余裕が欲しく予約の際に言って欲しかった。出発の際、朝食をとる時間がなく持って行く用のボックスを頼んだらそっけないパンが入ってるだけ、せめてチーズぐらいつけても。空港でたまたま近くにいた滞在者も同じ文句を言っていた。他は全て良し。
