I really enjoyed staying at a newly renovated room with an amazing view. Good options were not bad but some restaurants were understaffed and took a long time to get food or services. Outdoor pool was still under construction and steam room was located too far away from spa by indoor pool, looked a little outdated. Some activity classes were hard to book. During peak season, it would be nice if the hotel could increase spots for classes and activities.

Da alles fast perfekt war und wir das Hotel trotz des hohen Preises vollumfänglich empfehlen können (auch das Hähnchen im Restaurant war sehr lecker), hier ein Verbesserungsvorschlag: Die neue Lava-Glacier Spa ist mit etwa 540$ für 2 Personen (3 Stunden) unglaublich teuer, eigentlich sollte sie für Hausgäste umsonst sein. Akzeptabel wäre allenfalls ein Preis von 100$ für 2 Personen und kürzerer Aufenthaltsdauer (1,5 Stunden). Das Management sollte darüber nachdenken.

Yeah, the location is awesome. Hotel not maintained well: 1. Bathroom shower made puddle, and a plumber needed to come and fix it. 2. Ice machine did not work. 3. Indoor pool and hot tub were of a class of a Motel. I would never recommend staying here.

Beautiful hotel. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Dining was very good with a wide selection, though somewhat pricey. $45 for breakfast buffet. Ski equipment rental onsite was reasonable and free shuttle to the slopes made it very convenient because parking can be a challenge.

Location: right in front of Lake Louis, cannot get any better, about 90 mins from Banff town so that can be a bit of a bother if you want to go to the town Room: very nice, but you have to pay more to get one with a view. Gold floor comes along with access to a lounge with beverages/food access which is very handy and recommended Restaurants: Plenty to choose from, food is good with amazing staff/chef. Reserve in advance else it can be tough to get a table. Tours: Excellent staff to help organize tours like treks, rides, sports etc. Free shuttle for ski resort Shopping: excellent retail shops, really nice collection. SPA: 4/10; no access to showers, steam room etc. But they are building new SPA facilities. Swimming Pool/Gym: basic can be better. Overall: choose when you go very carefully. Its nice to go any time of the year but depends on your preference. Winter can be rough but the hotel is less crowded. I give this property a 9/10

The stunning view of Lake Louise! Definitely worth hiring a canoe. Lots of activities/trips offered by the hotel, best to book in advance at busy times of year. Great area for hiking. Pool area a little tired, however they are in process of building a new outdoor one overlooking Lake Louise. Lots of excellent dining options available to suit everyone. I would go back

We had an incredible stay at the Fairmont. We arrived early on check in day and were able to use the facilities from early in the day while waiting for our room (including attending a complimentary yoga class and using the pool). Parking at the hotel was easy, which alone makes the Fairmont worthwhile, as lake parking fills up very early (note - this was at the cost of $45/day). There are other perks of staying at the hotel including the ability to skip the line at the lake canoeing and priority reservations for the hotel restaurants (where the food is impeccable). Our room was spacious, comfortable and included a complimentary bottle of prosecco. Would highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful hotel in a gorgeous setting near Lake Louise. Excellent restaurants and transportation to ski areas. Also has activities like cross country skiing and snowshoeing that we would have done if there was more time.

Staff are amazing the young lady who booked us in was SO kind to us & even knew we had been to the chateau 15 years ago . Charlotte manageress in the Lounge over looking the Lake tended to our light lunch order as if we were royalty & our sandwich order her Chefs will never forget they all made us feel so welcome . Keer was charming too along with Wasi & Rachel who was Scottish ( from my homeland ) our room was spotless

No words can describe the unique beauty of this setting. The hotel itself is also unique and beautiful. Spotlessly clean, comfortable rooms, delicious dining options, wide variety of activities for all. There is some on-going construction but the site was clean and relatively quiet - looks like great things to come upon completion. Hotel is a jewel! Don’t miss it!

We were welcomed with smiling faces and professional staff. Room was immaculate and our view was stunning. We had lake view. The glacier basin experience was the best. It was invigorating and relaxing. We had a little skate although the ice was not quite ready as it usually is. Not the hotels fault as there was warm weather recently that impeded getting it ready. The restaurants were world class and delicious. We can’t wait to come back.

A little pricey but enjoyed our stay. Everything is clean to perfection. Love our view to mnt. Temple. With restaurants of your choice and shops. A plus was to see the ice sculpture out of the door, at daylight and night time. Would definitely stay longer next time.

The surroundings were gorgeous and the staff, for the most part were very nice. Our room had a gorgeous view of the lake but the room was very small. The carpet had carpet tacks sticking out and we stepped on them when using the bathroom. For a thousand dollars a night, we expected a lot more. The restaurants were fine but very expensive and the service we had was only mediocre. Again, for the money we expected more. We had dinner at the Fairmount in Banff and had an excellent meal and impeccable service. All being said, I am glad we stayed there because it was on my bucket list, but would not spend the money there again.

Hotel is under construction. Initial room assigned was 2nd floor overlooking the construction with a sliver of lake (we paid $1300 for a lake view). We had to fight to have our room changed and ended up with a very nice view, that said, there is constant noise from the people outside well into the night. Worst $1300mroom I have ever stayed at.

We recently stayed at the Fairmount Chateau which is in a beautiful location, but felt completely overcharged. We spent four nights in a lake view room on the 8th floor, paying an exorbitant $1200 USD per night, and the experience didn't come close to meeting our expectations. The room was tiny, stuffed with oversized, worn furniture, and poorly designed. The bathroom was shockingly small, with split-hinged doors that made it feel more like an old saloon than a luxury hotel. The tub was peeling, baseboards were chipped and dirty, and the plastic toilet seat was scratched beyond the point where it should be replaced. There was almost no counter space, and two people couldn't use the bathroom without bumping into each other. To make matters worse, construction from 8 AM to 6 PM ruined the view and added noise, making the stay even more disappointing. While the staff was great, the room was nowhere near worth the $1200 price tag. The hotel management should be embarrassed by the condition of room 833.

The best way to see Lake Louise is to stay at the Fairmont. I would give the staff more than 5 stars if i could. We stayed in a lake view room that is in a wing that has been remodeled. Very nice but the bathroom is a bit small. We stayed here seven years ago and the room now is a big improvement. The updated one has a very large window over looking the lake.

Absolutely amazing hotel. Beautiful hotel and scenery around the hotel. This was a splurge for us but it was worth it. No regrets. Loved it! My only issue was the room was sooo hot at night that it kept me up. I put the temp to the coldest setting and it still didn’t make the room temp do down. I also paid for an upgraded room and got put next to the elevator which we could hear through the walls.

Room remodeled nicely. Very small. No real customer service throughout resort. Requested late checkout upon arrival (just one additional hour), and they stated we’d need to request day of departure. Day of departure @ 7 AM I called front desk for our one hour late checkout and was notified “we are not offering any late checkouts today” even though there had been a giant snowstorm the night before. They lobby was filled with guests trying to somehow depart. If you think the Fairmont is anything like Four Seasons, Aman Resorts, or even the Ritz Carlton, you will be greatly dissapointed. First and last Fairmont stay, but Lake Louise was superb.

This was my 2nd stay after 10 years from 1st one. The property got old and we experienced many issues this time. We had been assigned to a nice Lakeview room but the sink faucet was making noise a few seconds later, the tube drain was slow, and the water pressure was shallow. They reassigned us to two basic lower tertian rooms for our family of 4 people, however, it was even worse - No A/C, the tube drain was completely clogged and we had to shower at the Spa. This was not $1,200.00 - $1,600.00 per night prestige hotel quality. They issued us a $200.00 credit for all this trouble and our valuable time but completely ruined our trip. I would appreciate poor Matt for all his effort in helping us. Lakeview and Matt's customer services are the only two categories meeting world-famous hotel reputation and its price.

We enjoyed a terrific three night stay in September 2024. Everything was terrific but the staff really stood out as exceptional - everyone we encountered had a ready smile and was genuinely interested in accommodating our needs. In particular, the food service staff on the 7th Gold Floor was terrific. There is ongoing construction but it did not inconvenience us, staying on the concierge floor saved us money on food, and the convenience of staying at the lake was priceless.

A very bad service in front desk , all travelers have to be waited their test message for checking in , bad thing is they never ever send the message to us (we use local Canada phone number), 3:45pm my husband come to front to ask if our room is available, they said we need to wait the message by phone .over 4:00pm , if my husband doesn’t come to the front to ask , we may stay in the dining hall the whole night . Finally we checked in , we claim with the front desk , a lady answer is “ it may my phone problem. That’s Ok but this s we spent 3000CAD for 2 nights service . we are very upset. We don’t believe how such bad service they are !!! The other horrible thing is this hotel keep charging my husband credit over than 3 time’s totally over than 7000CAD . BE CAREFUL—Who wants to travel Lake Louise to stay this faked 4 star hotel PLS be very very careful on your pocket . They are trying to steal your money without attention. We are calling Expedia to solve this serious problem now .

Our checkin experience left much to be desired...we arrived early 3pm never heard anything from the front desk , Garry in articular until I went down and inquired at 4:10pm . Then suddenly a room was ready and when we got up stairs our luggage was already there...so either bell hop service knew our room was ready earlier than we did or they were very very fast in dropping off luggage. Room was lovely, location as well. dinner in the lounge was nice altho the waiter forgot to bring soup we had ordered, once our meals arrive no point in the soup. Just some sloppy things and I have yet to receive my final bill again upon checkout they said they would email the bill , checked my email but nothing as arrived. Training new person perhaps that was an issue. Alot of money was spent for 1 night and do wish the service had been better.

There was nothing to not like about this hotel. The staff and everyone we encountered was amazing. The service was a 10 plus. They went out of the way to make sure you were comfortable and had everything you needed, There were many dining options, and self-parking in the garage was easy and convenient. The grounds and surrounding area were so beautiful it felt like you were living in a postcard. Can't wait to go back

The staff were excellent from Check in to Check out and everything in-between. Lots of activities for guests to enjoy throughout the day and easy to book online through the QR code provided. Took part in the wine tasting, lookout hike and ice skating. They went above and beyond to make our birthday celebration special. Rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable beds, quiet floor to spite being next to the elevator. Window seat in the room was a wonderful touch.

Amazing scene. But Hotel staff are not friendly. STAFF in the front desk and concierge are indifferent, erogate. We asked for details of the sunrise tour, the first thing she told us was the cacelation policy instead of what we expected to enjoy!! Coffee machine and even kettle are not working. no change arranged even requested. With the exceptionally expensive room rate, not money worthwhile.

The hotel is beautiful, the staff are wonderful. The only problem is the food - it is just not very good and the prices are sky-high. The most elegant of the five restaurants gave the two of us a mediocre dinner - but it cost us $500. A lesser restaurant at the hotel gave us a slightly better meal for $200. For those prices, the chef should be more talented!

I took roam transit from Banff to Lake Louise which was then a short walk to the hotel. For about an additional $80 I upgraded to a room with a view of the lake which was worth it. I had dinner at the Fairview restaurant and the food-beet salad and fish were delicious. At check out I let staff know that the vent was unusually loud but other then that a stay at the hotel is highly recommended!

While the Fairmont Lake Louise has a grandiose reputation, 2 nights would have sufficed, and the 4 nights we stayed was not worth the price. On top of the high room rates, the hotel "nickels and dimes" guests, which left us disappointed. Parking should be included, and breakfast should be included as well. The additional parking fee is unreasonable, as is the high price for breakfast. Most "European hotels " include fabulous breakfast buffets with the room booking. One of the elevators to my wing was out of service, which made the wait for the one working elevator ridiculous. The ongoing construction taking place on one of the floors rendered another elevator bank unusable. And the indoor hot tub facility was so disappointing to the eye, we didn't even bother suiting up. Lastly, we ate in 2 of the restaurants - nice atmospheres, but disappointing food, not warranting the exceptionally high prices. On the upside- the view from our room was spectacular and mesmerizing. And the Shuttle to Lake Louise was very convenient. Last comment- Good thing my husband and I are not big people, as we would not have fit in the bathroom!!

Prime location. Next to Lake Louise and shuttle service (with a fee) to Lake Moraine. A lot of good shops inside the hotel. Breakfast at Luisa is great but dinner at Fairmont is below expectations. Steak is way overcooked and service is very slow.

Fantastic hotel! Front desk staff was very welcoming and friendly . Room was well appointed and we were lucky to get a room with a fantastic view of lake Louise . Tried 3 of the hotel’s restaurants and they were all excellent . Lots of things to do within and outside of the hotel premises with events going on! Will be back!

I found the vegetarian meal choice in the formal MSI ing room and the resort restaurants very limited to non existent despite the dining room being informed a month prior to our stay. For a Fairmont I find this very frustrating. Paying $64.00 for a plate of 1/4 charred broccoli and black beans when you can get a steak for that price is not acceptable. Please update your menu to reflect meal choices for 2024!

We stayed here for a night because we wanted to have easy access to Lake Louise. Wish we’d stayed a few more nights. They have activities and trips you can take around the area. The bar and restaurants were all exceptional (except we weren’t that impressed with the breakfast buffet). It was lovely late at night and early in the morning to have the lake practically to yourself. The rooms were fantastic - we got a lake view, although I think I’d be fine without when I go again. Highly recommend!
