Chaweng Regent Beach Resort

C’est un bon hôtel ! Attention faiblesse : la plage ne permet pas de nager car avec les marées, il y a très peu de profondeur et la mer est empêchée par une digue. La vraie mer est plus loin en remontant sur la plage en direction du Centara reserve où les plages sont plus belles.

Fantastic one week stay in Regent beach hotel! Was initially a bit sceptic about the conditions of the rooms as its not the 5 star hotel I am used to as the rooms are a bit outdated. However, absolutely loved the stay and could not have been bothered the least about the rooms being a bit outdated as everything else was spectacular! The pools are wonderful, the beach is very nice and well maintained, the breakfast is delicious and above everything else- the staff is beyond wonderful, sweet and helpful! The front desk staff are amazing, housekeeping ladies very sweet and meticulous and the poolbar/ restaurant staff amazing! Lee, tek, may,wee, tango,palin joy, guy and could go on! We spent most of the days around the pool and restaurant are hence these guys really made such an impact! Without any doubt would chose this hotel again and recommend to anyone going to Koh Samui!! Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Clean room, spacious. Good breakfast buffet. Cocktails very average. Nice pool/beach area. Good stay, but I will mention the resort is dated. Could use a refresh

Great staff and facilities. Two great pools to lounge around. And very convenient to shopping, eateries & entertainment. One caveat - beach frontage is a little disappointing. But walk 250 metres and it’s terrific (with massages & lounges for hire). No other resort in the area can match its facilities & cleanliness.

Directly on the beach in downtown Cheweng. Staff were amazing and so accomodating. Room was sizeable and super clean. Air Con was fabulous. Bed was very comfortable. One pool was out due to storm repairs but the other pool was available as well as the beach. In return they provided a buffet lunch for the inconvenience. Would I stay again? Absolutely I would and would also recommend to family and friends.

This was our 9th stay at Chaweng Regent and it will definately not be our last! Location is great. Central to the area making most locations walkable. The beach and pools are lovely. Staff are extremely friendly. We really enjoyed our yime at the pool bar...Jay was a great bartender! Breakfast has a large variety to choose from and rhe coffee bar was a great add aince the last time we were there. The grounds are continually being manicured and while the gym is on the small side it is more than adequate. We were very happy we received the room we requested and were extremely happy when we were granted a late check out due to out late flight. We had an amazing trip and cannot wait to return .

What is special about this hotel is the location, pool areas, large space and gardens. This hotel is on a very busy, noisy and smelly street. The main street of Chaweng where everything happens. You could not be central. But once you enter the hotel area you are embraced by nature and plants. It is very quiet. The hotel has two big pools and beach access. I cannot think of a better location and arrangement of greenery. You can take drinks, eat food or breakfast by the sea. Everything is almost perfect but there are two downsides with this hotel. Both should be relatively easy to fix by the hotel. 1. Breakfast. While the breakfast selection is pretty good there has been money saved here. And it is in the details and I will give some examples: - jam. These are the cheapest jam that just taste sugar - pancakes and other things are not fresh. We can see that the brought in cold pancakes and other bakery covered in plastic in the morning and then warmed them up in an oven which you can open. This made the pancakes hard and not fresh. It is similar with all other bakery products they offer. - if you plan to go to the breakfast when it opens (06:30) everything is simply not ready. I think all food was ready around 07:00 so I think there are things to improve here - 50% of the times they asked you, when seated, if you wanted coffee. The rest of the times you had to go yourself. I think it is good to have some sort of plan here. 2. the gym. It is really really small. Rec moving it

Das Zimmer war tatsächlich makellos, sehr geräumig und schön eingerichtet! Es wurde täglich gereinigt genauso die Handtücher gewechselt.Das persönlich war sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich

Hotellet har fin standard. De som jobber der er veldig hyggelige og imøtekommende. De har visse regler rundt bassenget, men er ikke super strenge på ånopprettholde dem. For eks, er det ikke lov med mat og drikke utenfra. Men de sa aldri noe på det når vi tok med mat og drikke inn. Rommene var rene og pene.

Nerver ending mosquitoes in the room had to wait 45 minutes to get into my room when i first checked in overall beutiful property and excellent location

Hele fijne accommodatie om te verblijven. Uitstekende ruime kamers en een heerlijk ontbijt. Fijn zwembad ook en je hoort niets van de drukte buiten op straat.

The property is well maintained with excellent facilities. Lovely pool area and an adequate gym. The staff were all lovely, friendly and efficient. The beach area in front of the hotel is clean and safe for swimming. My spa villa was very comfortable, clean and functional. Located in a lovely garden setting. Highly recommended.

Nice hotel, but jacuzzi in bedroom is open to the outside and was infested with bugs. So we couldn’t use it.

Beautiful grounds , clean and friendly staff

Våknet av at det var en stor edderkopp i sengen, når jeg informerte de ansatte om dette følte jeg at de ikke trodde meg siden jeg ikke hadde tatt bilde av den. På taket over utebadekaret lå det et slangeskinn, ikke særlig flatterende. Harde senger. På glassene på badet stod det at de var sterile, men de så kjempe skittene ut og det lå et slags belegg i bunnen. Klamt på rommene.

Great hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Pool area is amazing and so is the buffet breakfast. Very good for walking out into the centre of Chaweng beach and all the restaurants and bars. Only 1 negative and that’s the noise at night sometimes.

At check-in, our room didn’t match the photos that we had booked, which was frustrating and not a great start to the trip. The manager, May, did an excellent job of finding a solution for us, which we highly appreciated. She was definitely the saving grace. But I wouldn’t come back or recommend the hotel. For the money we paid VS what we actually got, it was a let down compared to the rest of our trip/ hotels that we stayed at. Front desk staff were “hot and cold”. Some were helpful, others looked miserable. The property itself is quite big, which is nice, but the pool areas always felt a bit over-crowded. Breakfast was average at best, and at 750 THB p/person, not worth it. The beach access was nice, it’s great if you have kids as the property backs into a lagoon. Overall, I feel the hotel is overpriced for what you get and I’d strongly encourage others to shop around

10 out of 10 would stay again. We had one of the new beach villas with ocean an ocean view. It was spectacular.

Mostly a good resort. The rooms need better insulation from the humidity as everything in the room gets wet if you open the door. Additionally, there is almost no power outlets and none of them are by the bed. Had to plug in phone across from the room. This resorts needs some major modernizing. Breakfast was okay, not fantastic but sufficed.

The check in process was weird, maybe because it was busy. A fellow just asked us for our passports without identifying himself as an employee. They did give us tea and ice cream while we waited which was a nice touch. They could have explained more things to us like how to use the wi fi for example. The room was large and clean, but the toilet had a sign to not flush toilet paper down and to put used toilet paper in a receptacle by the toilet - gross! We flushed it down anyways! The bed was comfortable. The property is built right up to the ocean so there is no sandy beach area.The surrounding properties are similar so it is difficult/impossible to walk along the beach, at least at high tide. Pool side drinks were very expensive outside of happy hour. The hotel is on a busy, somewhat dirty street with lots of cannabis shops, massage studios, small stores selling trinkets and small restaurants. We tried quite a few restaurants and most food was mediocre. The sidewalk disappears in places and you are forced onto the road. Overall it is a decent place to stay room wise but the location isn't the greatest,and the beach non-existant.

I booked the Premier Room, it is huge but they did not good use of the space, so the whole room feels big and empty (didnt sleep well for the first 2 nights because of mosquitos). suggest to book the normal room instead. did not receive discount on F&B too. overall still recommend this hotel because of location and efficient staffs

Absolutely wonderful place to stay! Our room was spacious, steps to the beach, both property pools, and the restaurant. The property has wonderful walking paths through lush vegetation and the koi ponds are terrific water features. There is a small but very functional gym and many relaxing settings to kick back and relax. This hotel exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be booking again for our next Koh Samui trip.

Very uncomfortable bed and pillows, had to get different pillows 2 days in as sore neck and shoulders . Resort directly under flight pass to airport!!!

J’ai réglé toutes mes dépenses la veille de mon départ de mon propre chef. Malgré cela, le matin, deux employés ont tenté de me faire repayer et m’ont traitée comme une menteuse. Pour le prix des chambres, le service est très limite : baignoire inutilisable (à l’extérieur, pleine de feuilles), aucune insonorisation, et personnel qui frappe à la porte à 22h pour des serviettes en insistant, alors qu’on dormait. Manque de professionnalisme flagrant. Expérience très décevante.

Great resort - the staff are very attentive and helpful and made our stay relaxing. While all staff were excellent, F was particularly friendly and made our stay memorable. Great team at Chaweng Regent! Thank-you!

I had a great stay at chaweng regent resort, the service was outstanding. May, the manager, was especially helpful and made our experience memorable. Highly recommend this hotel!

Nice place in a Good location - but some staff are unfriendly and unprofessional- pls also note this hotel does not pay attention to gold card membership from hotels.com / Expedia ! No upgrade when checking in, even though many rooms available in higher class - after complaining I got an upgrade, but it’s quite stressful and not the way to do it !

Nice resort with private beach. The location is just nice, close to almost everything but a little bit away from the crowded bars and restaurants to enjoy the quietness. Just 30s walk to those if you need to. Highly recommended

Good location on the main, commercial Chaweng drag with many dining and shopping options. Hotel is composed of villas and small buildings within a green tropical garden. Wear and tear caused by COVID inactivity is visible but not significant and easy to ignore.Hotel has an appealing low key, casual vibe. One thing to be aware of is that the beach in front of hotel is practically non-existent for most of the day due to erosion and high tide. In late afternoon when sea level recedes it starts connecting to adjacent, walkable stretch of Chaweng beach.

An amazing stay here, situated on Chaweng beach front and close to the activity on the main road, a very convenient location. Rooms were of a great standard and very clean and quiet. Breakfast by the beach every morning was fantastic. 2 pool areas to chill in meant people were spaced out. Definitely recommend!

Location is great, staff are very helpful and go out of their way to help you. Room is spacious and nice. Breakfast was good as well. Directly on the beach. Downside near the airport and near by clubbing in the a.m. woke me up twice.

Grundsätzlich kein schlechtes Hotel, Check in hat leider länger gedauert da dass Zimmer noch nicht fertig war… auch das reinigen am Tag hat nicht vor 15 Uhr stattgefunden, bezieht sich natürlich auch darauf welches Zimmer man hat. Frühstück… ja war oke aber nichts besonders auch nicht allzuviel Auswahlmöglichkeiten- sonst ist das Personal sehr bemüht. Englisch ist aber leider mehr als nur ausbaufähig

Excellent place to stay with kids. The room was really nice, the pool and the view amazing, breakfast was great. The staff is super friendly and helpful.
