Room was mostly clean except for previous guest’s hair all over the bathroom floor and stains behind the toilet seat cover. Hotel seems new and the staff is very friendly. There are little areas that need attention like a baseboard that fell off and missing wall outlet covers. The bed was comfy. There are random people hanging around late into the night at the gazebo.

It was great. It was very crowded. Baseball weekend. Children everywhere. But management did step in and sent a letter about children roaming alone. At times pool had over 100 children. At 9:56 boys were outside playing football and rather loud. But at 10:00 management did get them to quit. I don’t believe management had any idea that the hotel would be that busy with so many children playing ball. It was a lot. But I’ll stay again. Very nice and it was close to park, close to restaurants it was very convenient to everything. Easy in and out. Parking was great.

This appeared to be a relatively new hotel. We were disappointed that neither the cooktop stove nor the iron were in working order. However, when we alerted the staff, we were given a replacement iron immediately.

What I loved was the kitchen area! The dishes available, the cookware available, the utensils, the dishwasher option, the garbage disposal, the large kitchen trash can, the refrigerator and freezer size, the coffee maker. Everything was clean and brand new! Except for one of the mugs had coffee residue from the last customer. An outlet next to the bed was out of service. But, all of the staff members were helpful and professional. The staff member Ariel went above and beyond my expectations! She made sure that I had everything I needed or wanted! In a timely manner. She treated me with respect and dignity! She was extra nice. She made me feel that I am a a part of the IHG family. I love the selection of snacks and drinks. I love the gym option. Needs upper body and lower body weight machines though. I love that the washer and dryers were free! I wish the pool area also had a jacuzzi for winter guests such as myself. There were no flavored creamer cups inside the room for my coffee, I wish all the tea choices offered in the lobby were inside the room as well. The trash cans inside the bathroom and living room were way too small and the trash filled them way too quickly! But overall…I would recommend IHG hotels and the Oxford Candlewood Suites to everyone! I will spread the word.

The room was pretty clean, but a few dead insects noted in the corners. The room we had was a suite, but there was no sofa in the living area, just one recliner chair. So only one person could watch tv in the living area, and there were two of us. In the bedroom there was not a dresser or suitcase bench to put luggage onto of, so we just used our beds to hold the luggage. Otherwise, it was good coffee downstairs whenever you wanted, friendly staff, and nice locaion.

I stayed 2 nights, first night was fine. Second day/night it sounded like someone kept jiggling my door handle multiple times. There was only a stairwell across from me and the next room was a ways down the hallway. As a young woman traveling solo, it definitely made me feel uncomfortable. There were several dirty dishes in the kitchen and my shower was full of hair. Most areas of the hotel smelt like cig smoke. Besides that, it was alright.

Great new hotel, perfectly clean and has every essential you could need! Great location and friendly staff. If I could say one thing that was weird, the heater/ac is on the main room and the bathroom is thru a closet which gets no heat/ac. Bathroom was extremely cold, but that was the only down of the hotel, everything else is Amazing!

When I arrived to the property, it looked great...until i walked inside. I should've trusted the bad reviews of this place. It appears to be an IKEA built structure. I could hear when a chair was moved across another room, people talking across the next room or people walking across the floor above me. When i returned from my event, as i entered the lobby, there was the odor of marijuana. The morning of check-out, i received a a call from the front desk, Anna about a noise complaint. Toward the end of the dialogue, she was demeaning amd because of her poor customer service skills, i will never stay at this property nor any IHG property again.

What I loved was the kitchen area! The dishes available, the cookware available, the utensils, the dishwasher option, the garbage disposal, the large kitchen trash can, the refrigerator and freezer size, the coffee maker. Everything was clean and brand new! Except for one of the mugs had coffee residue from the last customer. An outlet next to the bed was out of service. But, all of the staff members were helpful and professional. The staff member Ariel went above and beyond my expectations! She made sure that I had everything I needed or wanted! In a timely manner. She treated me with respect and dignity! She was extra nice. She made me feel that I am a a part of the IHG family. I love the selection of snacks and drinks. I love the gym option. Needs upper body and lower body weight machines though. I love that the washer and dryers were free! I wish the pool area also had a jacuzzi for winter guests such as myself. There were no flavored creamer cups inside the room for my coffee, I wish all the tea choices offered in the lobby were inside the room as well. The trash cans inside the bathroom and living room were way too small and the trash filled them way too quickly! But overall…I would recommend IHG hotels and the Oxford Candlewood Suites to everyone! I will spread the word.

We stayed a couple days to hike in Cheaha State Park. The hotel was close to park, pet friendly, and multiple food choses around hotel. The room was pretty clean, but a few dead insects noted in the corners. The room we had was a suite, but there was no sofa in the living area, just one recliner chair. So only one person could watch tv in the living area, and there were two of us. In the bedroom there was not a dresser or suitcase bench to put luggage onto of, so we just used our beds to hold the luggage. Otherwise, it was good coffee downstairs whenever you wanted, friendly staff, and nice locaion.

We had a great time staying at the Oxford, AL, location for a Square Dance convention. The staff was super helpful, and the room was spacious. Because of my wife's allergies and medical conditions, we were able to prep our own food in a crockpot and leave at the hotel and come back for meals. It worked out great. The only issue we had was with the TVs, which they'll have to look into. It wasn't that important, since we were gone most of the day.

I love to stay here when I travel home to visit family. The only problem I had was the dispenser on the wall for hand soap and lotion was coming out of the wall and it had conditioner and not soap in it. Easy fix, but always a comfortable, well maintained, clean property to lodge at in the Oxford area. Also has an outdoor pool an area for grilling meat.

We have stayed here before and had a better stay; however, this time we were given the keys to what appeared to be a clean room, but the pillows and comforter looked like someone had come in to take a nap, and the bathroom light was on. We quickly left and were assigned a new room that simply wasn’t clean. The staff is super nice. There are no amenities at this hotel-just a coffee machine in the lobby.
