Good swimming pool and gym.

Generally a nice hotel but their service is lacking a lot since 5 years ago, generally a lack of attention to details. Automated checkin is clunky, spa staff are lazy (on TikTok, refusing to help me with the sauna not being on, instead passing me a phone to call maintenance myself!, and after doing so, sat in a cold sauna for another 15 mins, never got to use it!), room services slapped on an extra 40% charge without warning, they have this app that you can order amenities from, even glasses and a lavender pillow if you like, but no toilet paper is listed. Bathroom has a dried pee smell, I think they rushed cleaning before 3pm rather than just being 30 mins late and making sure the room is clean, just a guess. Wifi wasn’t working on the TV and staff weaseled out of connecting it for me. Just overall, kinda rubbish for the money. $400 I could fly to HCMC and stay at the ParkRoyal Saigon, I’ll think twice about staycationing in Singapore again when I can get away somewhere much more pleasant for the same money. As prices are increasing it’s not showing in recovering the service to pre-Covid levels, which I think is an industry-wide problem. But the issue is over promising and under delivering. If you have to wrap a towel round you to walk out to spa reception to use a phone to call reception to ask them to tell maintenance to turn the spa on (and never do so), then close the spa down. It’s not even properly advertised their your website anyway so it wouldn’t be a loss.

Swimming pool closed at 8pm and no hot whirlpool.

The hotel itself is good. Service was average as the room was not that clean when we checked in. I expected more. The gym and pool was not inviting at all. The restaurant/breakfast has poor choices. More better hotels around the area to try.

The room was well decorated and designed to create zones which made the small size feel bigger. Enjoyed the comfy banquette/sofa along the window to relax comfortably and look out. I like fresh air so the lack of windows that open or balcony was not ideal. The pool and deck area was great- could get some decent laps in.

Close to shopping and dinning. Good exercise facility. Pool and spa.

Room was ok, pool area smaller than in pictures. Location of the hotel good - walking distance to both bus and subway stations. In overall, we enjoyed our stay at JEN Tanglian.

Nice room. good location. Gym well equipped and used. Could do with water cooler. Good pool. Staff attentive and helpful.

The Gym condition and lack of air conditioning was very disappointing. Also The TV in my room did not work. I called service 3 separate times and though they fixed the issue, the problem kept re occurring.

The SPA was amazing

The registration speed was good. I like the cleanliness of the room.

Hotel has to do something about the something about the cleanliness of the washroom on the lobby. It's filthy and smelly when I went there. No good for the image of the hotel. In addition the self laundry service should not be offered if the facility is not ready for guests. I went there with the tokens and it was stuck inside the slot of the dryer. I called the service and it took more than 30 mins for the staff to come to the laundry room. This is terrible as I have wasted my time waiting in the laundry room all by myself with sensor lighting turning on and off every 3 to 5 mins. They would have easily pass me another token and get another dryer working. Btw it's not cheap to purchase the tokens. This is my worst experience in this hotel!

This is my third time staying in this hotel and it is disappointed that the cleanliness and condition of the room is getting worsen. It could be just the room I got but it has moldy smell (like wet socks or rotten wood). I just hope it was not the mold which I had to smell for the whole night. It was not a present experience. The check-in time was also delayed. The staff at the counter told the customers in front of me the room will be ready at 2 pm but told me 3 pm and the reason was just we are very busy today. I didn't feel very welcoming until she asked for my phone number and email to key in my profile and I told her I have stayed here before. As a regular customer, I have never experienced this kind of service from this hotel so it is quite disappointed and I will probably not come back to stay again.

Clean and tidy room and the bed was comfortable

Wonderful hotel with Great Buffet in J65. All I are great except the room toilet has strong roaches smell despite spraying it with room fragrance spray. Otherwise a wonderful stay. Thank you, Jen Tanglin.

Good location and nice clean rooms Hall carpeting had an unpleasant dmell

The room was very nice and had some nice features like a Toto toilet with bidet. However, there was a condom wrapper under the bed (not very far in either). And despite me telling housekeeper when I wanted the room to be made up (every other day), I still got a nag note under the door on days when I didn’t need service. Once, I even had a manager knock on my door to “check on customers who have had the DND sign on for a ‘long’ time”). This was the day after the room had been serviced the day before. But other than the somewhat intrusive service, it was generally very pleasant. The location cannot be beaten too.

The hotel was generally disgusting and dirty. The night before I checked out, I noticed the bed area had a foul odour. I was too tired to care so we just slept. On the morning I checked out, I flipped the sheet and realised my bedsheets were soiled - I could not tell if it was rotten food or feces (poo). We left the hotel and later emailed about it - I was told we should have allowed them to rectify the issue (not sure how they could as we were checking out) and was offered free breakfast at our next stay. I was so appalled at their lack of care as we would obviously never stay again. NEVER stay here - not worth it and location isn't even good. Not even a 3 star and so not worth the price.

The room was very small

Water pressure really good soap provided great , beds and sofa good to lay down and sleep even. Great service and staff. Good location near orchard road without the full hectic vibes

I stayed at Jen Orchardgateway and was impressed. Unfortunately, my room at the Tanglin hotel was small with poor ergonomics. For example, I had to twist my body to reach the toilet paper.

In a nutshell: great experience but you could tell the age of the place. Pros: staff was incredibly polite, rooms had nice and spacious and the convenience of the location was fantastic (15 min walk from Orchard Rd & right in front of an MRT station. Cons: age definitely showed…our shower door didn’t work properly so water flooded the floor on a nightly basis and the duvet had holes and stains on it. In addition, it was a little dusty when we checked in. We did not have a chance to try the restaurants or the facilities but it looks like they have plenty of food options and allows for checked out guest to use the gym shower if their flight out is past check out time.

As are many Asian hotels, the rooms are quite small and are VERY difficult to control the air conditioning. But a great location.

Wonderful staff. Can't thank them enough for making our stay so memorable. Front desk led by Izzat, Nicole, Joy. Bell and Concierge Bayani and Aloysius assisted us with transportation and answer all our questions with a smile. Norin, Jenny and En at the club lounge help us relaxed in the evening and assisted us with planning our days. Erica at the buffet always warm and friendly. Lovely hotel but had to wait over 30 mins in a queue to check-in. Two slow members of staff - not what I need after a long haul flight.

Very clean and comfortable stay. Staff is also very helpful. Check-in could be faster as there seemed to be wait times most of the times. Automated check-in didn't work.

Hotel is ok. But check-in experience can be improved. Also the staff didn’t let me use a breakfast voucher without giving me proper explanation. Also disappointed late check out is never available, it’s my second visit

We enjoyed our stay at the Jen Tanglin. We were particularly happy to get an extended check out time. Thank you very much Jen Tanglin for making our stay a memorable.

Check in was pretty slow. In-room dinning site written the latest order time is 23.00 pm, but the guest service staff said it's for 24 hours. Order wake-up call at 4 am, and the phone rang at 5.04 am. The rest was good, and the concierge was good and helpful.

Several issues during my 4 days stay including no bell boy to assist with luggage upon arrival. Room that was promised on email was not prepared and that the receptionist promised a manager would be in touch by next day, but none. There were lots of fruit flies on the bathroom exhaust fan, bedsheet had few short hairs and shoe marks. Collection of luggage left at concierge took ages! No one was even there. Asked for some towels/bedsheets also took 40 minutes yet the staff said it was only 10 minutes (I had call records on phone to proof), so you can tell their attitude. J65 restaurant service wasnt great, belongings were cleared off when we went for buffet to collect meals. Staff was not helpful when we wanted to walk-in for dinner either. Location is ok only the good part is MRT is just in front and Tanglin Mall is connected to hotel.

We booked 4 rooms for a family trip and had a mixed experience overall. Check-in was surprisingly slow and disorganised It took much longer than expected. Four different staff members were involved, with three of them constantly deferring to one more experienced staff, which caused unnecessary delays. There was also no explanation provided about the hotel facilities, Wi-Fi access, or any helpful information during check-in. One thing that puzzled us was the repeated “wellness check” knock on the door every single day, which felt intrusive and disrupted our rest. The air conditioning in the rooms was inconsistent, especially at night—sometimes it was too hot, other times too cold, making it hard to stay comfortable. The lobby seating was limited and uncomfortable, too small for the number of guests around. I also had an issue in the gym where I accidentally left my room card inside. There was no staff manning the gym counter, and I had to trouble another guest to help me retrieve the card. On the positive side, the hotel offers convenient access to Tanglin Mall via level 2, and the beds were very comfortable, which made for a good night’s sleep. Overall, while there are some good aspects, the service and guest experience fell short. I would not recommend this hotel for stays beyond one night.

Had a redeye flight from Dubai and arrived in Singapore in the morning and was able to get an early checkin which was very accommodating. Since we planned on using the MRT for trip, being 1 block away from Orchard Blvd station was very convenient. Hotel staff very friendly and asked how they could help. Room was very efficient on use of space and well maintained. Since it was a short stay, did not use hotel facilities - restaurants, pool etc. Adjacent to the hotel is a mall with shopping and eating establishments. When back in Singapore will stay here again.

The hotel staff are so nice. They gave me a surprise on my birthday! When I went back to my room at the end of the day, I found a birthday cake and card with their messages. It’s so sweet! Thank you:)

It is located away from the hustle and bustle of Orchard Blvd but also conveniently located on the TEL line on MRT. From the hotel it is just a 2-minute walk to the MRT station, mostly with covering so no worries on rainy days. The Tanglin Mall abutting the hotel has a few restaurant options and a nice supermarket. I like that the mall is not touristy with pricey brand name stores. The bathroom is smaller than expected but I would stay there again.

Excellent location on the Orchard Boulevard MRT line. Nice neighbourhood too.

With the opening of Thomson-East Coast Line, convenience of JEN Tanglin improved dramatically. JEN Tanglin is now not only quietly situated in high class residential area but also easily access to most of the sight seeing spots.

Hotel is on the edge of downtown but conveniently located across the street from a metro station and attached to a shopping mall with restaurants and a grocery store. Breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of foods.

The hotel's location (near Orchard Road, the Botanic Garden, Tanglin Mall, and an MRT station) is its biggest asset. But the hotel itself is quite nice as well.

The internet was fast , very clean room , amazing shower , comfy bed . Breakfast was amazing too . Very helpful staff . The area around the hotel was excellent, the MRT ( metro ) was a few minutes away and the Tangled Shopping mall was right next door . We can recommend the Greek restaurant there !! We would love to back one day to the hotel ❤️

Food was always tepid at best, pool ok but needs revamping. Very small room and bathroom with no bath. Will not return.

Breakfast was disappointing. No meat to est with eggs, like for a normal wesrern breakfast. No sausage, no bacon, this is below normal standard.

The hotel is very eco friendly as it doesn't provide bottled water, instead the hotel has premium filtered tap water for drinking. That's perfectly fine for adults, but I doubt any couple travelling with young children will use premium filtered tap water to make milk powder for their toddlers. I booked the Club Room that comes with afternoon tea and cocktail. The lounge has very very very limited choice of snacks and drinks. Cocktail time also only beer and few bottles of wines available throughout the 2 hours session. The swimming pool looks old and the floor somehow I'm not sure if it's purposely for anti-slippery, but the floor feels a bit sandy or dusty on bare foot. The room looks vintage, bed is average. They do provide baby cot, but I wonder why is there no blanket and pillow for baby cot, also there is no children toiletries provided, despite I have informed the hotel a few times I'm travelling with young toddler. And another amazing point, the front desk told me I booked the hotel on Expedia, in fact is Hotels.com, so my ShangriLa member cannot be used.

Clean, safe and comfortable. Breakfast spread was excellent and delicious. Orchard Boulevard MRT station is outside the hotel - very convenient. Staff are friendly and helpful! Thank you for making my stay 👍👍!
