I am a loyal fan of Meriton Suites, and when I'm in Sydney I usually stay in the Meriton on Campbell Street or Zetland, and in Melbourne I stay in the Melbourne Meriton. On this trip I was just in for one night and couldn't get into one of my usual Meritons, so I booked this one. Major disappointment -- the building and room are sorely in need of renovation; the cooking stench on my floor was so dense that I felt nauseous when I walked off the elevator, and I had to open the windows in my room and run the air conditioner for an hour before the air was even decent; there were problems signing in to the internet; and the elevators were extremely slow and crowded. The staff were very friendly, which took the sting off of the terrible state of the facilities, but I would not stay at this Meriton again.

Have stayed in this and other Meriton properties over the years. Always consistent quality, cleanliness, friendly/helpful staff and great locations. The pool and gym here were were. Easy walk to Town Hall, Museum stations for airport etc and tram stop 1min away. As per previous reviews of other properties the only thing that was annoying is the lift management system. Appreciate these are large buildings but lifts generally take forever to arrive and seem to have no logical process. In spite of that would still highly recommend and will stay again if pricing continues to be competitive.

Washroom was not very clean lots of flies around the shower area . The air conditioner is up above the bed and very noisy. Started in the early morning you can heard sounds like vacuum door slam at all times.
