Pan Pacific Vancouver

Parking situation is horrible, confusing and expensive. I bought 3 days parking but in the time it took me to go to reception to understand parking I was issued a ticket and then they said that they couldn't help me resolve the ticket as its managed by separate organization. They were really unhelpful and treated me poorly. For a 5 star hotel I was not impressed..

Staff were great. Note the $50 food credit disappears fast with charges on room service. Gym steam is a bit cool but the rooftop hot tub and pool are elite. Gym is a walk hut exceptional for a hotel. Location is killer. I paid about $258 in Jan 2026. which I view as high value with the food credit.

Our room was lovely and modern. The view from our room was stunning. The lobby bar has a spectacular view but is dated with bright lighting and feels like a missed opportunity as the hotels in the area all have beautiful and elegant bars. The spa was great but its location off the parking lot is weird as is the location of the fitness area. Would have preferred the spa to have access to the pool and be in an upper floor.

Heated outdoor pool was pleasant , hot tub nice temp but jets did not work. Room seemed sound proof. Easy and very convenient self parking under building for $60, parking nearby can be cheaper in office building or convention areas. Short walk to Gastown, easy access to to Seawall and a 10-15 min safe walk to Robson Street. Room had fridge, kettle and coffee. Can understand why this is a top choice for Alaska bound cruisers.

While the price of the stay was quite high we had a couple issues. Most elevators were down the whole 2 night visit. Elevator wait time was at least 10 minutes. Could be over 20 minutes. When you use the elevators several times a day, this wait time really adds up. The hot tub was way too hot to use. It was over 42 Celsius. People couldn’t even use it.

Booked this hotel for the second time based only on the fact that they have a fabulous rooftop pool and hot tub. However the hot tub was ice cold and when we reported it to the front desk, they were unaware and went to check. Sure enough it was broken so they closed it for the rest of our time there. No kffer of a discount or refund of any kind. We left very disappointed.

We were excited to get a night out for my birthday and decided to stay in this hotel at a prime location. Once we got to the 22nd floor where our room was located we were a little taken back with the cleanliness of the elevator lobby. All four elevators were littered with dust which immediately kicked off our allergies. It’s understood that there are some construction / renovations ongoing but something should be done to separate the dust being caused on the floor. The room was well sorted by housekeeping for our stay so no complaints there. All in all the hotels age is definitely showing and I don’t know if I would be rushing back.

Other people hair was all over the bathroom. There was old sushi in the fridge from other clients. Horrible stay specially we paid a lot of money for the room.

Excellent downtown location and incredible views. Strangely for such a high end hotel, there were clothes left in two drawers from the guest before us, so I guess the drawers were not cleaned. They comped us the excellent breakfast buffet, which was amazing.

Shower curtain smelt bad. Pool abd hot tub dirty and tiles falling apart. Elevator outdated and slow Not very clean for a 5 star hotel. Staff not friedly.

Smelly shower curtain in room ruined the experience. For the price and (supposed) caliber of hotel, it was very disappointing. That plus a crib in our room triggered crying due to childless situation.

Room was extremely filthy dust all over the windowsills dust on the lights dust on the counters. I had to come in and clean everything if I had a vacuum, I would’ve cleaned the floors too. Now for the bathroom, the bathroom had urine all over the toilet all over the floors and the counter was just a mess. I use a black light to check and I cleaned the entire bathroom and I had to scrub the tub before I took a shower. I did contact the front desk to let them know. I was very unpleased with the cleanliness of my room this is a very expensive hotel and I feel with the combinations of it being expensive. It should be in pristine cleanliness for all. I asked the front desk to have the manager call me on Monday because he was not in this weekend and that I would be in my room from 6 AM until checkout time. I’m leaving my room now and it is 12:30 PM. Never received a phone call from him or her as for the employees that work here. Excellent customer service one suggestion for the staff management when cruise ships come in and they port and they’re getting off. You should have more than two people at the front desk helping if people are on their break break should not be taken during the time the ships come in the priority of this hotel should be for cruisers who come into this hotel for convenience to get off a cruise ship and spend 25 minutes online waiting to check in is unjustified. My suggestion is quality control doing an inspection on every floor once a day would be advisable.

1. Check in took awhile 2. Requested cake set in room prior to check in as a surprise for my fiance but we did not get that request. I had to remind them hours later and then they brought it in. 3. Hotel rooms are out dated. Old tubs, not enough towels, broken mirror closet, store bought cheap water bottles, old alarm clocks, dust and mold in windows, washroom :( 4. Breakfast took way too long to come in (almost 1 hr) 5. Usually room service gets charged to card on file but there was so much confusion about payment.

Our room was huge, great view of Canada Place sails, the convention centre, Stanley Park and the North shore, staff was all amazing!

This is a premier location, with top tier rooms, in one of Canada's most vibrant cities. The room had terrific appointments, with a small refrigerator, espresso machine, and excellent closet and drawer space. The bed was luxurious, and extremely comfortable. The view from my upper floor room was terrific. And best of all, the Pan Pacific delivered exceptional value in the luxury hotel niche. I will patronize them again the next time I am visiting Vancouver, without a doubt

Pan Pacific Vancouver has an extraordinary location, which was the major reason we chose it. We truly enjoyed many places of interest in the vicinity, and we enjoyed the lounge on the 23rd floor as well. On the other hand, Pan Pacific Vancouver has many things that truly disappointed us. First, because the hotel probably is old, its ventilation system is very loud, making sleeping sometimes difficult. Second, the hard-wood bed frame is bigger than the mattress. As a result, both my wife and I bumped into the sharp frame corner multiple times and got hurt. Third, the toilet did not flush thoroughly multiple times. Fourth, the elevator has a sensor for residents to put the keycard on it before punching the floor number. Too many times, the sensor was not sensitive, and we missed our floor. Other people who happened to be in the elevator said they had experienced the same problem. Fifth, this is a fancy hotel, but the breakfast variety is not much better than a motel. Very sad. Finally, for such an expensive hotel, the Internet connection speed is only 9mbps. This is a joke. I don't know whatever I have said here is useful, but I sincerely hope that the hotel administration can make significant improvement to lift up its service quality.

Quick check in, friendly staff, amazing views! My only complaint is the slow internet. There is an option to pay for better internet, but I feel that an expensive hotel should not charge guests for fast internet.

Beautiful high floor room with a stupendous view. Just what we hoped for. Our ONLY complaint but sort of a big one in this day and age. Barely any outlets in the room for charging things etc and none beside the bed at all. VERY unusual, especially for such a high end hotel.

We were given check in at 11am and a harbour view room upgrade without even asking. Room was large and very comfortable

I waited a long time to rate this hotel; I've stayed before, and it was very nice. This time, the smoke alarm started to beep, first hourly, then eventually about every ten minutes. It started at ab out 2:30AM...and I didn't know what it was, and then at 3;20, and so on until it was frequent by the time I checked out. At check out I did say it had been a difficult night, and the clerks' only response was to say I should always call. At 2;30AM, when I didn't know what it was...not until about 4:00 did I figure it out. They should check this stuff. It was no doubt a back up battery. They all have them. And after a a few years they ought to be replaced. As for food? The afternoon before I ordered a small pizza, it was covered with water. So, I sent it back. My friend said it was the worst looking pizza he had ever seen. Maybe the place has seen better days. No compensation whatsoever was offered, just weak statement that it wasn't up to their standard. I don't normally write bad reviews...in fact, never. But this was kind of a disaster. Meant to be a short, restful getaway. It was anything but that. The city, which I know and l love, was great. The ferry ride, was great. The people were fun. The museum of anthropology at UBC, spectacular. The view from the Pan Pacific, wonderful. The restful getaway? DID NOT HAPPEN. Likely to start there again? NOT.

I’ve stayed at this hotel many, many times and I’m never disappointed. Comfortable, spacious rooms and excellent customer service. Some of the bellmen have been there for over 30 years and are always friendly and accommodating.

I had an excellent stay at the Pan Pacific. Amer at the front desk was so helpful. He arranged a lovely room for me and helped me check in early after a long flight which I super appreciated. I had a delicious meal at 5 Sails where Will waited on me with courtesy and professionalism. The meal was excellent, part of the Dine Out Vancouver extravaganza. My tuna appetizer was beautiful, the filet mignon was perfectly cooked and the chocolate gateau was a perfect ending. When they found out I could not drink red wine, the sommelier was fantastic and made some excellent pairings for me. Overall a wonderful, relaxing and entirely satisfactory stay!

Maddy who helped us at front desk check in was exceptionally helpful. Gave us a tip for something fun to do with teenagers and arranged our rooms to accommodate our party. Thank you

Check in was one the worst experiences ever- never seen a line up like this- understandable if a room is not ready by 3 pm when check in is 4 pm - did the pre check in - came back after 4 pm huge line up so decided to come back later - 5:15 pm the line was even longer- after a long travel day it took 25 minutes to get the keys- that’s a no go everything is not in a relaxed atmosphere- the staff is trying there best but if they have to handle the cruise ship passengers it’s not what you want to have as a normal hotel guest-

Service was top notch. Our room was clean and any requests with the concierge were dealt with quickly. We appreciate the hotel for being able to accommodate a late check out request. Great walkability with fantastic dining nearby. Another great stay at the Pan Pacific.

We came in on a Holland America cruise. Phil met us at the door to take our luggage and was very kind and welcoming. We were very early for check in and Will at check in was so helpful in giving us great places to eat. He gave us an estimated time our room would be ready and was spot on. Again, great experience. Hotel was clean an s comfortable. Only issue was the elevators were a long wait and we used the stairs more than we would have liked. Room was very comfortable and bed was excellent. Location was perfect with lots of options for shopping and great eats.

The airport shuttle was a little late, but Jay the driver apologized and got us to our hotel in no time. He was polite and explained ateas we drove through. Hotel is very nice, clean, service is fantastic.

A 5 star hotel with a great location & beautiful lobby but was short on staffing & guest services. Check in was long and we were 5th in line but it took over 20 min. Only 2 staff to checkin and one at check out. Elevators were broken for 5 days and line ups were 10 to 15 minutes for the 2 working elevators. It was 4 days of 10 min waits & endless complaints expressed by guests who finally got on as there were also 2 conferences happening. A significant issue for guests expecting a 5 star service. Buffet breakfast was $44 per person and there was nothing to justify this cost but a plate of smoked salmon. Rest was bacon, sausages and scrambled egg with some cold cuts and pastries and was underwhelming and cheap selection…go across the street to the Arc and pay $3 more but feel like it was a hot and higher end breakfast with friendly service. The service at the restaurant & in Pan Pacific not what I’ve experienced in 4 & 5 star hotel. Tried to book excursion at the hotel but the ticket seller wasn’t at the desk and didn’t come back for 15 minutes. Don’t even know where the concierge was. Never saw more than 3 staff in the lobby area and one was the greeter at the restaurant with 2 at the check in desk. Far, far inferior to Fairmonts and Marriotts for level of service, modern rooms, guest services. Perhaps it was November & low season so they only hire minimal staff. Only the location and grandeur of the lobby and the extra big pillows on the bed made this hotel look 5 star.

Overall really great, there were only 2 staff to do check in at peak check in time on a Saturday and the two guests who were checking in were clearly having trouble, because they didn’t move for 15 mins. Another staff came out and things slowly started moving but 20+ mins to check in was unpleasant

We had an amazing 2-night stay at Pan Pacific. Every employee went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. If we are ever in Vancouver again, I wouldn’t hesitate to book a room here again. One of the best additions was having the package that included breakfast, as well as afternoon hors d'oeuvres and then later there was a dessert hour. The food was excellent and the staff were all amazing. The honor bar was a nice addition if you didn’t want to go to the bar area. There were plenty of beverages and mixers to make drinks - all in honor system by adding to room. Overall - one of the nicest hotels we’ve stayed in.

This is the best place to stay if you are going on a cruise.

Excellent location for cruise port. Hotel offered service to bring luggage to cruise ship, worked seamlessly, luggage showed to room on ship. Close to food and other sight seeing buses. Will definitely stay here again when cruising out of Vancouver, worth the extra money for the convenience.

Upon check in, we were greeted by friendly staff, right from the door man to the reception. Our room was very spacious with a beautiful night view of Lions Gate Bridge, Christmas lights on Howe Street and Stanley Park. I’m sure the daytime view would be amazing on a clear day. Breakfast had quite a variety of options from fresh fruit to eggs Benedict. Our table was cleaned promptly so we could sit and enjoy the view while drinking our morning coffee

Amazing staff, comfortable bed dinner was amazing in Five Sails but breakfast was regular so I think it was expensive for what it was, the rest is perfect. Elevator take a loooong time…

La cama más cómoda en la que he dormido en toda mi vida! De verdad que descansamos como nunca!!! El buffet de desayuno del hotel también delicioso. Hicimos reserva para cenar en el restaurante 5 sails que esta en el mismo edificio y el servicio también es maravilloso. Creo que el hotel esta super bien ubicado y el trato es increíble. Definitivamente espero poderlo visitar de nuevo

We did not eat the hotel breakfast, but we did order room service for late night meal because we arrived very late. Food and service were very good.

Hotel is excellent and in great area. The breakfast buffet was grossly overpriced for the limited selection.
