Hotel is centrally located, close to the harbour, shops and restaurants. Starbucks, restaurant, Pub and lounge make the start and finish to your day complete. Breakfast was great, but often had more people than seats which lead to waiting or taking your breakfast back up to your room. (If the elevators work) ** Large Construction project going up beside the hotel which leads to excessive noise starting at 7:00am ** No mention of this on Hotels.com when booking - but it is noted on the hotel website. This will likely continue for the next few months so be aware on timing from this review Elevators here need some maintenance, there are 3 elevators which should be more than enough, however for the 7 days we stayed, never were all 3 working, and often it was just limited to 1 - which makes getting up and down a process and many unhappy faces. We were on the 9th floor and always walked down, but after a full day wandering the city, walking up 10 flights wasn’t appealing so we waited. Rooms are not very soundproof to the goings on of a big city. Our balcony door was off the track which added to the noise, and maintenance was unable to repair so we moved rooms. The staff were apologetic and accommodating. Overall a good stay - I’m sure most the issues noted aren’t ongoing issues, just timed out that way for us. Would likely look at this hotel again on our next trip.

The $30 charge for valet parking was excessive, being forced to use their service instead of parking your own car is not a good business practice. Other hotels in Greater Victoria will let you self-park for a much lower fee, especially with the high cost of staying overnight.

Good hotel and great location, easy to walk to many locations. Only thing to note is that Valet service for parking is not optional, you cannot park your car yourself. They charge you 30$ per night.

We had to wait for our room to be ready... I think they have issues like everyone else with cleaning crew. All in all a nice place. Gym is basic but usable. Starbucks downstairs is nice. Beds are good. Pillows are a little too big.

The cocktail bar was fabulous and right downstairs. Several wonderful restaurants within 1-10 minutes walking. The only thing missing was a pool/hot tub.

Location is great, close to downtown and shopping. Pull out couch was extremely uncomfortable for our two children. Rooms could be cleaner and updated. Strong odour of dog in our suite, staff were to bring up air purifier which never did come to our room. In Room is overpriced in my opinion.

A coffee cup was found in the corner of the room. The bathroom ventilation fan was full of dust. I had mentioned it was my partner 's birthday, so there was a chocolate gift in the room. The room faced the ocean.

We stayed for the Royal Victoria Marathon. The staff was calm and helpful even though it was very busy. The luggage storage was great, giving us one less thing to think about. The room was impeccably clean and, though there is some traffic noise, was overall quiet and calm.

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel. We had a suite so it was so spacious for our son to run around. We had a balcony to look out, there was a little kitchenette, and the bed was comfortable, but the only two negatives were the microwave wasn't working and it seemed like the carpet wasn't vacuumed. The room itself was clean but carpet was dirty. The staff were so nice, especially the valet attendants. Overall, we had a wonderful time!

No complaints except for the pullout bed in the suite I had booked. It was like a mattress cover over springs and was completely un-sleepable. We had to get a cot and then use the seat cushions on the couch to put together a bed that my 2 girls running in the marathon could actually sleep on. Not at all what I expected at a Hilton.

The pull out bed in the king suites is awful. I’m fairly tolerant and I ended up sleeping on the floor. The mattress was paper thin and I felt every spring and metal support underneath. Everything else about the room and the hotel was great.

We arrived early for our check in at 4pm, but we weren’t allowed to go up to the room until close to 4:30pm. Construction started next door early in the morning. This new building being constructed blocks the view of the harbor. The A/C is loud and constantly turns off an on. The couch was uncomfortable as well as most of the chairs. The location has turned out to be the best part about this hotel. But for the price, it is not worth it. We will be staying somewhere else next time.

Service was excellent and incredibly fast. Beds and pillows were comfortable and every staff member we encountered was smiling and polite/helpful. The family suite had a massive living area, the pictures don’t lie. We were able to put one teen on the sofa bed and another on an inflatable mattress we purchased (the cot bed was too small)

This suite is one best hotel rooms I've ever booked Also the most expensive. The view was phenomenal. We could see all across the city, even as far as Washington state and at night with the civic buildings lit up it was breathtaking. Unfortunately that view will be obliterated by a new building going up which also created construction noise for us.

this property was great, easy waking to lots of dining options and shopping options and the Victoria sea walk. The room was spacious and the bed was comfy, coffee/tea in the room and a fridge and microwave which was great. We were on the 15th floor so it was quiet. Starbucks on the property and breakfast served daily for a fee, also a wood fired pizza and bar on site to. Valet parking for $30.00 prepay any amount of in and outs allowed...

Our stay at the DoubleTree was rated high because the two valets were amazing. On arrival they took care of our car and were quick and helpful when we needed anything. The two gentlemen gave excellent recommendations for our stay in Victoria. The hotel was standard, clean and suited our needs. The Starbucks attached was large and convenient with good hours, walking distance to the city centre.

Staff is excellent. They always tried to meet your needs. They are always easy to talk too. Also I treated the staff with respect and friendly talk. Told them also that I appreciated them for working there and looking after people staying there.

Location wise is perfect, however there is a construction site beside the building. Super noisy! Parking was pricey and staff were not friendly. Called to request more pillows and bedding sheets for sofa bedding cause we were unable to find extra in our room. Took about an hour to get the sheet but never the pillow. So disappointed! Will not come back again!

It’s an okay hotel, The staff are really nice except for the lady working the front desk yesterday early afternoon. She was rude, I was waiting just standing there after the other guest left but she never acknowledge me I had to get her attention then she finally looked at me and that’s when I asked her if I can have two bottled water? She hesitated and asked if I was a guest there? What my room number was?? When I actually witnessed when another guest the day before asked for bottled water and the person working the front desk at that time didn’t ask if they’re staying there?!what is their room number?! Before she handed me two bottled water she told me they only give free bottled water when guests are just checking in, I told her I didn’t know that and I said thank you and I walked away. That experience didn’t just didn’t sit well with me, I was really bothered by it. I didn’t understand why we were given a handicapped room either because I didn’t ask for it!! That room is definitely not worth what I was charged for!!! I will never use Expedia ever again!!

Located in the heart of Victoria. Everything was walkable. Starbucks was super convenient for the caffeine fix. Mur, one of the parking attendants, was very helpful in suggesting points of interest from a ‘local’s’view. All the staff were great.

Great location in the Inner Harbour area. Walking distance to many local areas including Chinatown, Government Street shopping, and fisherman’s wharf. One of the best cocktail bars in town - Humboldt - is on the street level. Friendly staff and clean modern rooms - great alternative to some of the other more expensive hotels in that area.

The hotel is right downtown, close to the museum and parliament and lots of good restaurants. There is construction going on right next door. They were working there on Saturday but not too much noise other than hammers. I imagine that construction will be going on for a while, they are still working on the underground section and it looks like it will be big.

I've stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton three times now and have loved it each time. The rooms are great, the staff always friendly, and the location couldn't be more convenient. It's walkable to everything downtown as well as the Inner Harbour, Parliament Buildings, Beacon Hill Park, Cook Street Village, and it's not much farther to get to James Bay, Ogden Point or Dallas Road (which are some of my favourite walks). Plus it has two great restaurants in the building, and there's a Starbucks. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

I've stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton three times now and have loved it each time. The rooms are great, the staff always friendly, and the location couldn't be more convenient. It's walkable to everything downtown as well as the Inner Harbour, Parliament Buildings, Beacon Hill Park, Cook Street Village, and it's not much farther to get to James Bay, Ogden Point or Dallas Road (which are some of my favourite walks). Plus it has two great restaurants in the building, and there's a Starbucks. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Clean room and bathroom. Great breakfast but I wish there were more variety since we stayed here for more than 2 nights and breakfast menu was almost always the same every day. Front desk staff were very helpful when approached.

Although it is quite a busy area, the room was nice and quiet. Very welcome after a long day on the road. The rooms were clean, and a good supply of toiletries. The bed was comfortable, and the staff were always pleasant and helpful. The parking was convenient, although you do pay for it. The only disappointment was that the breakfast menu was a bit sparse.

Very nice hotel in an excellent location. Easy to walk to lots of restaurants and attractions. Bus stops close by for the trip to Butchart Gardens. Only $5 per person round-trip (plus the cost of getting into the gardens). Restaurant on-site was really good and convenient too.
