Sorell Hotel Rütli Niederdorf Zürich

O hotel é bom. A equipe de recepção é boa. O café da manhã também é bom. O grande problema deste hotel é nao ter estacionamento. Tem-se que parar em parkings privados ao custo de 45 francos ( cerca de 56 dolares) por diária. Isto aumenta muito os custos com a estadia.

The staff was fine, they brought a fan up because the AC unit in the room wasn’t working at all. Comfy bed but there were no electrical outlets near it. The bathroom is oddly large, though it has a teeny shower. Very conveniently located though.

The location was nice. The weather in Zurich was hot, in the 80's. So were the rooms. No real Air Conditioning. Hallway was slightly cooler, as was the lobby. Our friends had the same issues in their rooms. I tried to adjust it all different ways. Man at the desk said that's as good as it gets. We would take a cold shower before bedtime and in a couple hours would have a wet pillow from sweat. Cracking open the windows didn't help. Employees were nice.

The hotel was nice, great location for walking everywhere. Breakfast buffet was average. No AC as advertised only a heating and air system which did very little to cool room.

The best thing about this hotel for us was it was close walking distance to Zurich HB train station. The Worst thing about this Hotel is IT DOES NOT HAVE AIR CONDITIONING IN THE ROOMS! What Hotel in the year 2025, in Zurich, Switzerland no less, does not have ice cold, air conditioning blowing? Not broken. Non existent and it happened to be very hot in Zurich the weekend of June 20th to the 22nd, 2025. I spent over $800 dollars for a 2 night stay. More than I spent for the same in Paris, Nice and Venice on the same trip in mid June 2025. All of those countries had air conditioning and the Hotels were beautiful. My room looked nothing like the picture the site uses to advertise a standard, Queen room. The closest picture I could find for the room we were given is one they show as a single standard. Our room had a larger than single bed but it didn't feel like a Queen bed. It had one pillow, no sheet to use as a cover and a heavy duvet cover folded, laying in the middle of the bed. 1 coffee cup, 1 large towel and 1 small towel. I had to go to the front desk and ask for towels and a pillow to which the man on the front desk (who I will say was nice at least) took me to the basement supply room and let me pick what I wanted. The room itself felt like a college dorm room or hostel with a nice small bathroom. It was very clean but the wall paint is the bumpy, sandy type used for cheap cover up. Misleading advertising! Kudos to the photographer! The Hotel is in a great area!

The hotel is in a good location. We were avle to walk everywhere we wanted. The roo. Is very small which is ok, I didn't like the frosted glass wall to the bathroom, doesn't offer much privacy. The worst was the a/c, doesn't cool at all. Windows barely open. Was too hot and uncomfortable at night for sleeping.

I would put this on the level of a Holiday Inn express. The breakfast was a little better than that, but no where close to the breakfasts we had in France. It is located at the end of Niederdorfer St. So if you want to be close to the old town and in the bar and bistro district, the location is superb. There is no parking and you have to park across the river at a rate of about $50 a day. And water costs $9 per pint if you buy it at the hotel.

Air conditioning system old and recycled warm air, no cooling. They even have a printed note in your room about it. When I turned it up the noise was like a motorbike trying to start. They know about it but just apologies and was told to open my window! I slept on top of the duvet as the bed sheet was rough. Breakfast was okay, no bacon or sausage etc. They offer falafel! Never seen that before…

Very clean, central, great breakfast and staff

It is a smaller hotel but very convenient location. Very close to the old town, Coop supermarket, Zurich train station. The front desk people were very nice and helpful. The only complain I have is that the bathroom smell a little weird. It’s not that it is dirty, just not fresh.

In terms of location, staff, and breakfast buffet, this place is absolutely excellent. It was so close to train stations and the main street along one side of the river and I really was blown away by all the options and tasty treats they had for breakfast. My only negative remark was for cleanliness. By no means was our room “dirty,” but I wondered if they had tidied up much before our stay since we found two bottle caps on the floor and a spider on our pillow. The bathroom had great temperature and water pressure, but there was a small gap between the door that allowed for abit of water on the floor. That being said, I think all the positive aspects of the hotel make me inclined to stay again.

The hotel was decent. Breakfast was okay and room had dust from years accumulated in the corners. Definitely not for families who plan to explore the city all day long and go to bed early. There was a bar right below our window, very loud until late. We also could not open our windows because of all the people smoking outside that place, that impregnated the room after a couple of minutes. The description of the hotel mentions airport shuttle, which was one of the reasons why we picked it. Well, they don’t have it.

Room was clean and fresh. Staff very friendly, location was just a walk from shops and amenities. Main station just 10 min walk you could get anywhere.

The room was not clean. The bathroom has visible residue all over and the shower was the worst part. The shower had mold all over in grout lining. The towels and sheets had holes in them. Overall did not feel clean

5泊して１泊だけ清掃が不適切だったのと、冷蔵庫の冷えイマイチだった点を除けば、駅近で旧市街地に近く、比較的リーズナブルなので、チューリッヒ拠点にあちこち移動するには良いホテルだと思います。スタッフは基本的にフレンドリー、部屋の装備、清潔さは保たれてるので良いと思います。日本ならビジネスホテルという感じになります。あとCOOPという大きなスーパーが近いのと、朝食があるのはありがたいです。

We couldnt sleep as there were too many people gathering nearby our hotel and screaming for the whole night. Till 2am we were still awake. Next morning woke up we saw rubbish and bottles on the floor outside our hotel. Not recommended this hotel to family travellers.

The staff were so helpful and courteous. The room was clean and so spacious. The location of the hotel was perfect, an 8 minute walk to the train station and lots of shops around. Breakfast was really good.

The hotel is really close to Zurich HB which makes it really easy to go around Zurich as well as any tours from Zurich. Area near hotel has tons of restaurants and shopping. Rooms are decent. We had a problem with our bathroom drain which caused a lot of spillage. Staff tried to help but kind of punted that it can be cleaned and fixed next day only. This was disappointing and we had to make do with towels on the floor to clean up. Seems like they don’t have much housekeeping staff beyond the day time.

Front desk staff was pleasant . Breakfast staff the older lady was abrupt and rude.They should have some signage saying we will serve coffee or ask for Coffee. Location is convenient .

This is a great little hotel. It’s very well situated, close to the train station. It’s an active area but the sound insulation is excellent. The room was clean and comfortable, and the space was laid out well. The breakfast buffet was really good and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Good hotel to stay local in Zurich; it is clean and comfortable but night staff should work on customer service! That’s my reason for 4 stars

The location of the hotel is very good, very close to the train station and the Old Town. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Room is clean, size is acceptable for the price. Generally, we are satisfied.

Nice 50 room hotel on a cobblestone Street right in the center of Allstadt old town. Most of the staff are excellent, there’s a few staff that need a little bit of coaching. Clean rooms, excellent comfortable beds, and an excellent location for a good price. I would stay here again.

O hotel é bem localizado, uns 10 minutos a pé da estação central! A noite tem um pouco de barulho em função dos bares próximos, mas nada que tenha prejudicado o sono, pois as janelas são anti ruído. O tamanho do quarto era ótimo também, cama super confortável e tinha frigobar.

The place is in a perfect location

Nice hotel within a short walk from the train station. Very close to an area with cafes, restaurants and stores. Around the corner from a “polybahn” that takes you up the hill for a beautiful panoramic view of the city.

Nice location with good breakfast selection

Aircon in the room didn't have power to cool down. Even though we did the recommended things. And you couldn't open the windows at night due to nightlife just down the street. Breakfast was too crowded and not enough of cheese, juices etc. Kept running out so took long time to get breakfast. Reception not unfriendly but not serviceminded at all.

Esperaba más de este hotel por el costo Está bien ubicado sin duda pero hubo varios detalles 1. El desayuno es raquítico y nada variado 2. El servicio de limpieza muy deficiente No nos cambiaron las toallas no recogieron las tazas de café sucias no resurtieron las cápsulas ni el agua el aire acondicionado no funcionaba bien entre otras cosas Creo que hay mejores opciones a ese precio
