Finding the hotel was tricky. The city parking garage was an 8 minute walk back and 40CMF/day. There is a small area to load/unload bags in front of the hotel. The hotel itself was very nice and quaint. The room was surprisingly spacious. Walkable to the city center. Lovely restaurant with breakfast included.

A nice little hotel in the old town, conveniently close to the central railway station. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and not only is there access to free hot drinks, as usual in a hotel, but free water and Coke, too.

Amazing small boutique hotel in the heart of Zurich. Staff were very helpful even giving us an extended check out. Location is the best. Also has the most amazing restaurant that serves the best fondue’s - the line up of people waiting each evening is huge! 10/10

Loved the convenience and location, we walked everywhere. The staff was welcoming and the access to bottled water without a charge, much appreciated for by this American. We had a great fondue dinner at the restaurant and breakfast both days we stayed. No complaint and would definitely stay here again.

Hotel Adler is in the Old Town of Zürich, walking distance from the train station, art museum and big churches. The location was perfect. If your room faces the street, know that weekend nights will be loud. The window had a single pane and didn't block the noise. On top of that, the walls in this hotel were so thin that I could hear snoring next door. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel offers a 50 percent discount on the art museum and had umbrellas to borrow. My room was clean and tidy, and also compact, with a single bed. It's nice to have that option as a solo traveler. I appreciated that the hand soap and shower gel/shampoo were in reusable containers but wished that the conditioner and lotion were, too, to save plastic. On the same note, bottled water seems unnecessary in a city with drinkable tap water. Overall, Adler was a comfortable hotel, but if I returned, I would ask for a room facing the courtyard (and bring earplugs regardless).

Very comfortable hotel in a great location. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The staff was friendly and helpful. My room was ready about 2 hours before check-in. The free water and sodas were a lovely touch and very appreciated. Only negative is that the public areas all smell of cheese due to the attached raclette restaurant. (Which I guess is only a negative if you don't like cheese.)

Hotel Alder was amazing. The little details - like free water and sodas in the lobby, candies for the kids, restaurant on site, coffee maker in the room. Wonderful staff. Everything was easy and well thought of. Nice room for our family of 4 staying over for a few days before we went south.

Our hotel stay was very nice. Staff were welcoming and hand on when needed. It was my partners birthday and they offered a free birthday drink and chocolate which was lovely. The hotel is situated in the heart of the town, you have easy access to shops/restaurants and the train station is about a 10 minute walk. There’s a coop supermarket close by too perfect for groceries. The room was cosy and had everything we needed. The only downside of our room was that it faced the side where the bars are so on saturday night people can be quite noisy until very late. Also we had two single beds pushed together rather than a double. I would recommend staying on floors 2 and above if you’re not a fondue smells fan as the smell from the restaurant is quite potent. Breakfast was very simple, I think their could have been more hot food options but there’s enough variety. Overall it was a great stay, perfect for couples. Would recommend ☺️

Adler is a nice hotel, placed write in the middle of historic center of Zurich, from where you can access everything of interest. It is placed 2 minutes walking distance from the river, and less than 15 minutes from the lake. The hotel itself is clean and has a charming restaurant.

Room was small, but well designed, spotlessly clean and had everything needed. Hotel staff were lovely. Location is great - right in the middle of the Old Town - so most sights within walking distance. Only downside is noise from the street outside at night. There are a couple of bars on the same street, and - even with the windows closed - it's very loud, so bring earplugs.

Spent 3 nights in a single bed room. Was plenty of space for just myself. Good views of the courtyard. Loved the free access to drinks, double glazed windows (a massive must given how loud it was with the windows open, continental breakfast range, friendly front desk, amazing location and not your cookie cutter American hotel making it a much nicer authentic stay. No mini fridge in the room but this must be a European thing as my next hotel also doesn’t have one. Low fuss stay.

This hotel has loads of charm and in an ideal location. Service and cleanliness could not be reproached. Our room was very small and comfort was lacking. Sleeping in a small double bed pushed up against a wall with only 2 flat pillows was not what I expected. The luggage rack was too small for my medium sized suitcase. I like charm but if you are over 50, comfort is of utmost importance.

The staff here were so lovely and welcoming. The gentleman who was looking after the breakfast was such a lovely man and very well spoken and happy. Loved this hotel, the room was nice and airy, the decor was lovely, and the bed was super comfortable. I highly recommend Hotel Adler.

Not friendly staff at check in. Even though room was for 3 people , charged me extra since 3rd person was not a kid. Room same , bed same but we had to pay for difference. What will be difference of an 11 years old space in the room with 20 years old.

This is a great hotel with a very pleasant staff that was very accommodating. Nice rooms and a great restaurant on site, but I recommend reservations so you can get in. Hotel is also in Avery central location and convenient to everything.

The welcoming clerk was not very welcoming. At best her attitude was perfunctory, at worst condescending. She made a reappearance at our exit where she would not release our baggage without our tickets even though the morning clerk, who had been wonderful throughout our stay and had put our bags away appeared to be ready to do so. Fortunately we were able to find them. Would she have impounded our bags without the claim tickets?? All other staff were helpful and gracious, including helping make our guests flying through to South Africa feel at home with us for a few hours. She is the reason for the 3. Others deserve 5 and 4 not 5 for overall.

We found the character of the property great. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Location is a lovely area in old town, not that close for trains ect especially in the rain but we had Christmas markets right out the front door and plenty of dining options. Staff were helpful organising airport transfers and with local recommendations for sightseeing.

This was my third visit to the charming Hotel Adler Zürich. I love the convenience of being in the middle of the Old Town and very close to tram routes. Excellent buffet breakfast in attractive dining room. It is probably worth mentioning that major services replacement work is being carried out in the square outside the Hotel and work starts very early on work days--but the weekend was very quiet. Fortunately the excellent double glazing really helped to reduce the building noise considerably ! The work seemed to be progressing quickly and should be completed soon in the immediate area. I loved my return visit to Hotel Adler Zürich and look forward to my next visit in the near future.

Great located property in the middle of the old town and walking distance to river, train station, shops, bars and restaurants. You could not ask for a better location. The hotel has its own restaurant which we did not try but was full and very popular. The bedroom was adequate, large enough for our one night stay. Bed was comfortable and breakfast Buffett in morning of a high standard. All in all we would highly recommend this hotel for a short stay in Zurich.

The hotel is in an excellent location in Old Town Zurich. It is less than 10 minutes' walk away from the main train station. The area is safe and yet convenient, with easy access to lots of main attractions. The hotel is essentially a boutique hotel in a renovated ancient building so it is full of character and yet it has modern conveniences and comfort! The room is very nicely renovated in a rustic yet modern decor, and I like that it has a safe. However, there is no bar fridge inside (though not an issue for me). The breakfast was quite nice - I loved the fact that it had smoked salmon!!! The food variety was decent (though not outstanding, except for the smoked salmon!) and it was served in the Swiss Chuchi Restaurant, which was part of the hotel. It was again full of character and quite charming. The hotel offers half-price entry to the Kunsthaus Zurich, which is an absolutely delightful art museum with a very good collection - it is one of the must-see things in Zurich! The only issue that I had during my stay was that there was a small plumbing issue in my bathroom - given how old the building was, this probably was not surprising - the hotel staff did try to make it work for me and I appreciated it. Overall, I had a very lovely stay! I highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again for sure.

The hotel is within easy walking distance of the main train station in Zürich. You can always catch the number four trolley. It is located right in the middle of old town and everything is within a 10 minute walk from the hotel. The breakfast is included in your room and we stayed in a room with a balcony that overlooked the square. We will definitely go back to this hotel when we return to Zürich!

This was a great hotel to stay in. The location was excellent, surrounded by restaurants and bars and easy walk to the river and surrounds. The room was great very quiet with the double glazed windows, a great size and very comfortable. We would be very happy to stay there again.

Das Hotel hat mir insgesamt gut gefallen. Das Personal war freundlich und das Zimmer sauber. Leider war die Qualität des Kopfkissens sehr schlecht. Ich hatte nach nur einer Nacht starke Nacken- und Kopfschmerzen, die eine Woche anhielten. Ich kann mir nicht vorstellen, wie es gewesen wäre, dort zwei oder drei Nächte zu verbringen. Normalerweise habe ich keine Probleme mit Kopfkissen, aber dieses hier war wirklich unbequem. Auch das Frühstück war im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels, in denen ich kürzlich übernachtet habe, nicht so gut.
