Clean hotel, staff was super nice. Easy access to interstate and lots of food/grocery store options close. The only downside was the hot tub and pool were closed the whole weekend. Would definitely stay here again when in the Des Moines area.

Rooms and lobby very clean and spacious. Front desk very nice. Pool/spa area was nice and clean, ran out of towels but not the fault of staff pool was very very busy and hotel was fully booked.

Only thing keeping this from being the perfect hotel was the extremely slow elevator (waited over five minutes one time before choosing to carry our luggage down four flights of stairs).

The lobby was very nice and comforting. Rooms were very clean. Some of the lights and outlets in the room didn’t work. On a positive note, the shades were great at blocking out light. The pool was warm and well kept. The hot tub would not turn on, and there was some sort of dirt or sediment in the bottom. Breakfast was pretty good. I enjoyed the omelette and waffles. The sausages tasted good but were very dry. They had some pastries sitting out uncovered near the coffee bar that were very dried out/inedible. They had some that were in packages as well, but I didn’t try those. The hotel was very quiet with plenty of parking.

Went with family for a weekend getaway. Main want was a pool and hot tub. The hot tub was open the first night but closed the second night. However the pool was very warm. We spent hours in the pool!

Very nice, clean, updated hotel that's easy to access and in a quiet, safe area. Bed wasn't the most comfortable but not terrible, with good pillows. Room was spacious, clean, and cozy. Breakfast was normal continental items and well stocked. Pool/aera was excellent size and temperature with an amazing hot tub!

Hotel is in a very nice part of town. Breakfast was ok. Slow service to keep food out on the breakfast line. Pool room was very hot and humid and could only stand to be in there for no more than 20 minutes. Elevator was slow. Room was nice.

First the key didn’t work had to go back the desk then the room was so dirty pizza boxes and pillows on floor. So back down to the desk again. Room we got was ok but floor was dirty! Was told the hot tub and pool was open until 12PM. I was looking forward to that after a 12 hour drive but that didn’t happen because there were 20 teenagers in the hot tub and pool. So one more disappointment. Students were running around in halls and knocking on peoples doors and yelling in their rooms!

When we had access to the room there was still a dirty towel in the bathroom from the past guests. We were NOT informed that you have to "request" to have housekeeping bring fresh towels, dump the garbage and make the bed. We were out most of our days and thought all of that would have been taken care of... There was no hand soap in the hotel and when we request some we were told they were out, you would think someone could get some generic hand soap until their order was delivered. Not impressed.

The hotel was very quiet with clean, spacious rooms. The breakfast was not very good. We would definitely stay at this hotel again as the hotel was great, easy to walk to restaurants and grocery stores, and a nice walking path across the street.

This seems like a very new property and it shows - super clean, fresh rooms and lobby. It even smelled clean and fresh. Beds were so comfy. Staff was very nice! The 2 queen room was sleek and clean and lots of room. My only issue is that it was a bit LOUD. Not sure if it's the hardwood floors, but we could hear the people above our room loudly walking around super early in the am. Woke us up!!

This appeared to be a very new hotel. Given that, I did notice that some of the finishing work was not done very well.. some of the trim was already coming lose from the walls, etc. The hotel was clean, the breakfast was nice and the associate running the breakfast did an exceptional job making sure everyone had what they needed, etc. The gal that checked me in did not mention that an additional $25,00 hold would be placed on my card for each room, so I was confused about the price and had to go back and ask about that, but again, I think this is a new hotel, so the staff are probably learning. The pool was very nice, it was large for a hotel pool and the hot tub was also larger than a usual pool hot tub which was nice. The beds are on wheels which is actually annoying because the floors are vinyl plank, so the beds move very easily. The window shades were electronic going up and down with a button which I felt was an unnecessary expense for the hotel to put those in. No one cares about having automatic shades. Overall, I would rate this hotel very good for the price. The staff was very nice, it was clean, the pool was nice and the price was good.

This property is beautiful. However, it was literally impossible to get my room cleaned. I arrived on 7/28 and checked out on 8/5. I asked through the front desk for my room to be serviced starting 7/31, after I realized it was not a normal thing for the room to be cleaned. When I returned it was not cleaned. Complained to the front desk. They apologized. Same thing happened on 8/1, 8/2 and 8/3. Actually, I talked to the maid in the hallway on the morning of 8/3. She assured it would be cleaned. It was not. It was not until 8/4 that my room was serviced, after me complaining so much. I checked out the next morning. For this reason, I will never stay at this hotel.

All was really fine -- the one huge glitch we were charged 3 times for the room accidentally, but then it took 3 days and multiple promises to fix it, before it finally got handled. so there is really only one issue - management do what you said you'd do, when you said you'd do it.

This hotel was so nice but I definitely caught horrible attitude from oncoming staff. Particulary the blonde working front desk starting around 4 on 10/11. I had okay'd my daughters birthday party to be held in the common area with the manager and i had asked the girl when i checked in if i could use their fridge for our cupcakes and pop. She said that was fine. This blonde lady that came on saw me putting our pop in the fridge and VERY RUDELY said "What are we doing?" And acted like it was a problem. As of the rest of the party i was consistently getting attitude from her. Pretty unhappy with how she treated us but the hotel was very clean and nice.

I arrived late Sunday night. When I got around to turning the tv on it only gave me a screen with service options and a 1/5 screen of one channel. There were some cords laying there which I assume went to a box that was missing. It was late so just let it go until the next day. I went to the front desk to report it, nobody around but a housekeeper mopping. She was able to find someone which I assume was her supervisor. She knew the room and said she reported it a few days before. She had to leave a note for the front desk because again no one was there. Came back later that night, it was not fixed. It’s a newer nice place in a great area but the service was very poor. Also the breakfast was very lackluster. Not just me but other guests were very underwhelmed.

I recently moved to the Johnston area and stayed here 8 nights while waiting for my new place to be ready to move in. The entire place was clean, the room was spacious and quiet. Every staff member I came across was helpful and friendly. The cleaning staff made sure I had everything i needed and they all were very sweet! The only thing i would say needs work is the breakfast. Not many options to choose from but it was always hot/fresh and did its job! I would definitely stay here again and it will be my top recommendation when family and friends come to visit!

Hotel was great we were only there for the night so we didn’t check out the area or anything. My only issue was at check in we were charged more than we should have been but we questioned it in the morning at check out and the manager took care of it no problem, so I wouldn’t really ding them much on that.

The reception at the desk was not friendly, she barely spoke with me. She had no information about basic stuff. The breakfast was minimal and they closed out everything at sharp 9!

The hotel was very quiet with clean, spacious rooms. The breakfast was not very good. We would definitely stay at this hotel again as the hotel was great, easy to walk to restaurants and grocery stores, and a nice walking path across the street.

Everything looked brand new at this hotel. I would have given it a better score had it not been for their poor breakfast service. We stayed there 4 nights, and all four breakfasts they had a difficult time keeping the breakfast food available. Pretty sure every morning the person working the front desk was also working the kitchen. Only one of the four nights was there any "main course" (biscuits and gravy or scrambled eggs and sausage) that was available for anyone. Nice hotel, nice area, but don't expect there to be any breakfast readily available.

The property was very clean. The continental breakfast, wasn't as expected. Cold food, eggs, and bacon four things of coffee allwere empty, and coffee was very, verry strong, the mild was as strong is the dold. We did not drink the coffee. Big disappointment!!! Ended up eating the cereal.

We LOVED our stay! We came for a staycation and were very impressed. I’d never heard of this hotel until searching for one for this weekend and noticed it had great reviews and was one of the cheapest options in the metro at almost half of what we were seeing elsewhere for rates. This hotel is in a growing area, near entertainment and several restaurants within a few blocks. Everyone was so incredibly friendly and helpful, any time we needed assistance it was a great interaction. We all agreed that the pool was phenomenal, we loved the softer floors and that the bottom of the pool was smooth. Usually I hate walking in pool areas but this didn’t hurt my bare feet! The pool temp was just a little cool but I thought it was ideal for me. The bed was great, my back didn’t agree with it, but I thought it was comfortable. My only critique was that the breakfast was fairly limited with just biscuits and gravy which was running low but was restocked while we were there, cereal and some breads. Overall I’ll be recommending this to all of our family members when they come visit! We had a great time!

We liked the rooms, very clean and updated style. Beds were comfy too. Breakfast was delicious. The pool temperature for swimming was wonderful. I've had issues at other pools, this one was a nice big pool and not freezing cold.

I don’t ever leave reviews unless it’s really bad. Hospitality was not good at all. I stayed three days and breakfast was bad. No one ever refilled coffee and every morning breakfast, there was something that they ran out of. Front desk attitude was just not good even when we asked if something could be refilled. And really, all management and upper staff should be ashamed of themselves for a hotel with this kind of service and I spend almost $300 per night to stay in. I just don’t get it.
