The Riverview

Hotel is very nice and clean. Bridges Restaurant was amazing, especially the staff and view. Starbucks is a plus. Only negative was smoke smell from the Casino.

Nice location, clean, safe. Hotel room was new, clean, quiet and comfortable. Price reasonable. Close to a lot of dining and riverfront businesses. Casino was clean, safe and fun promos/bonuses. Onsite Starbucks a great plus. Could order from room on app and then go pick up, all in one building. Great weekend getaway.

This hotel was very pleasant. It was very nice and we liked the casino was downstairs.

This is my 2nd stay and each time has been flawless. Parking is convenient, lobby is clean and check in is a breeze. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. I don't stay here for the casino life but that entertainment option is also very convenient. The availability of having Starbucks downstairs is also perfect.

Check in was smooth and easy. Hotel was quiet nice and comfy . Big room with long windows is what I enjoyed the most. They also have restaurants but no pool sadly

This was the most disgusting room I’ve ever seen at a hotel. Someone else’s feces was still in the toilet, dead little bugs all over the floor, food crumbs everywhere, etc. I couldn’t even stay there I was so uncomfortable I completely left the hotel. Never again.

The Riverview is a new hotel and was very clean throughout. The rooms were spacious and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Great view, the room was very nice the only downfall was the shower it was a walk-in shower with only a half piece of glass by the shower head so water got all over the floor made for a cold shower and there was hair on the wall other then that it was a good room

We had a fantastic stay at the Riverview hotel. Our room was spacious and clean. The hotel is conveniently located to restaurants, breweries and unique shopping. Will definitely stay there again.

Overall I enjoyed my stay, besides my shower floor having feet prints everything else was pretty good.

Room was dirty. Balls of hair next to the bed and by the dresser. When we told the woman at the front desk she did not care, did not offer to send anyone up to clean or anything.

I like that to use the elevator you had to have a room key card. The beds were very comfortable. The bathrooms were nice and clean. But the rooms could use a microwave in them. The room had a small refrigerator but no microwave.

once there you are more or less trapped into buying coffee from their Starbucks, one very expensive casino bar, and one restaurant. There are no coffee machines, refrigerators, or microwaves in the room

Comfiest bed and pillows I've ever had at a hotel. The rooms are very nice and clean. The only downfall was the red star restaurant. The food was too salty and way overpriced for small portions. Also, the shower in the room was very slippery and I fell. But a nice hotel with a decent view.

The room was spacious and clean. The view was enjoyable. The only downside for us was the trains rumbling through overnight and early in the morning.. Also, no breakfast. But the casino was fun and bigger than we expected.

We had no TV service for 1 1/2 days, when we call to report the issue the guy was so rude, then we called back a few hrs later to ask for a update the front fest guy said it’s a satellite issue what do you want me to do about it, said I was just checking. We called the next day was to be patient we are working on it, with that we packed up and checked out , was tired of the men at the front desk being so rude, the gal at the desk with the orange hair was so sweet and did everything to get us to stay, you need more employees like her.

Beautiful spacious room.

The rooms are new and clean but they are not all luxury. Ours didn't have some basic things that other hotels have like a coffee maker or microwave in the room. We only saw two rolling carts for luggage so we had to carry our stuff on the way out. The staff at the desk were pretty meh. I feel like a hotel should never tell a guest, "I don't know." I'm not expecting bellhop or concierge service but, "I'll help you find what you need" would have helped this stay not feel overwhelmingly poorly timed. In addition, the train goes by mere feet from the hotel, as quiet as a train can be, but I'm sensitive and I didn't sleep but my wife slept fine. We were on the other side of the hotel and our view was the neon casino sign. The beds were comfortable and linens clean. The shower has an open side and it's brutal to have that cold blowing on you while you shower and after you finish. Last, because of the river wall, I couldn't see the river or a view of much from the third floor walking around. If a view is important, make sure your room is high enough and on the riverside. I was able to get the room on discount from the approximately $140 regular room price, but my next stay in the Cape, I'm staying away from the river & Riverview. Please note: this review is for the hotel only, I did not enter the casino or Starbucks. I did price out the two restaurants (menus in room) and one was expensive, but is a fine dining restaurant.

The Riverview is beautiful, comfortable, clean & has stellar views of the historic downtown Cape Girardeau & Mississippi River from the higher floors. We stayed on the 6 th floor with a river view & it was perfect & we plan to be back for another stay!

Front desk staff was not helpful at all.

We checked in and were given 2 keycards. Our room was not a riverview, which I don't think was advertised, but not an issue. We dropped off our stuff and went to my wife's art opening (she was a featured artist in Cape girardeau and had to give a presentation and stay for the actual 2 hour opening. We had dinner afterward. When arriving back at the hotel, neither of our keycards worked. We went back to the front desk, where there seemed to be a lot of confusion about the keys and the room. They finally recoded our keys and we went back. When we entered the room - with all of our stuff still in there, my wife found a hand written note from the manager, asking us to contact the front desk. We didn't because it was late and we were very tired. We assumed it was about the key cards. We checked out the next morning with no problems. On the way home the next day it finally occurred to us - someone had entered our room while we were gone and wrote us a note regarding our stay. Assuming it was about the non-working key cards, how could we have read it if we had no access to our room? The hotel had my email and phone number, why was I not contacted that way instead of a hotel employee breaking into our room? It was a nice quiet room, and everything was fine, but the intrusion was a little off-putting, and the employees behavior when our cards didn't work was more than a little unusual. Probably wont return.

The Riverview hotel has a location with river views. The staff was kind and helpful. Check-in process was quick and easy. The room was spacious. And the rooms appeared to be very clean. Would definitely stay here again if we found ourselves in the Cape Girardeau area.

It was a great place to stay. Even though a casino is attached to the hotel, it seemed like we were in a nice secluded area of Cape Girardeau. Everything was like new and very nice. Even had a Starbucks so we were able to get a refreshment before we got back on the road. The only down side was that it was about five miles from the interstate but it was a minor inconvenience. Would love to stay there again.

Clean, average hotel. Bring earplugs, lots of outdoor noise (traffic, river dredging noise etc) We would not stay again due to the noise.

Hotel was very close to the Show Me Center. Very clean, quiet and comfortable room.

We enjoyed the convenience of being located 2mins away from the Casino, Starbucks and a short walking distance Downtown. An awesome River view!!!

The servers in the casino, the front desk staff, and the red star cafe were great. Did not go to beacon restaurant. The Starbucks was slow, crowded, but I had my food and specialty drink at least 5-10 minutes before regular coffee

No complimentary coffee or breakfast. Must support the Starbucks in the lobby, of course. Wishing I'd have stayed at the Marriott Courtyard.

I really liked the hotel and easy access to the casino. Needs free breakfast in the morning that would help out tremendously when you’re trying to do things with your college kids

The hotel was beautiful and clean. Very convenient with dining options and casino all located inside with the hotel. The restaurant, Beacon 53, was absolutely amazing and the staff was friendly and helpful.
