Sleep Inn Phoenix North I-17

The construction was inconvenient, no breakfast, the ice machine was broken, couldn't use the threadmil. The shower only had HOT water. The bedding was wrinkled, the mirrors, shower and floors were filthy. Parking was horrible. I wouldn't come here again.

I wish I had time to use pool. Hot tub was out of service. Breakfast was good!

It was under construction, the pool looked like a swamp, tv didn’t work, ice machine didn’t work. Staff tried hard but there was only so much they could do.

Hot tub didn't work, guy at front desk didn't care, said he would let his boss know in a couple of days. Tv didn't work, fixed after a couple of hours, went out again 2 days later, did not get fixed before we checked out the next morning. breakfast was decent. The lady who worked it was great!

First of all, this property is under renovation. And they have a LOT of little things to remedy. Half my stay the pancake maker wasn’t working, and the other half the wi-fi went down. Days. The washer and dryer ate more quarters than they should have. Homeless and transients hang around all day. The breakfast tables are wobbly and don’t get cleaned enough. Some selections run out permanently. The hot tub water looks brown. Lots of little things.

Parking was terrible, it was right by highway. Floors were stained for remodel, crackhead hiding in corner of upstairs, pool was small, hot tub was cold. No towels for pool. Dining was tiny, food was not stocked.

The motel was being updated, but the staff was attentive and friendly, the free breakfast had a variety of options to choose from, and the pool/jacuzzi were end each day.

The facility is being renovated. The halls and rooms are a disaster. Our room had a wall being sheetrocked. The TV didn’t work, the hot tub was cold, lots of carpeting has been removed, and I saw a giant cockroach in the hall. I don’t understand how they can even be open.

Hotel was undergoing reconstruction and was a complete mess. The main hallway to the first floor rooms was filthy dirty and was missing several ceiling tiles. My husband thought there were large areas of blood stains, which was probably not blood, but just dirty and spilled coffee or some other liquid. The walls in the hallway were a mess and a wall in our room was covered in drywall mud. The bathroom in our room looked dirty and moldy like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. We had zero towels or washcloths in our bathroom and had to go ask for some. The towel rack had been pulled off the wall. I can appreciate they were remodeling, but they should have adjusted their price accordingly and in my opinion it wasn’t even worth half of what we paid for the room. I can say, however, that the breakfast area was nice, just not much of a selection.

Found hair and specs in the bed. Bathroom smelled weird when we got there. There was something orange splattered on the wall and something smeared on the bathroom door. Would not stay here again.

Great staff, clean and quiet room

The Sleep Inn Phoenix North is an excellent place to stay. The staff is very courteous, and the room was super clean. And loved the walk in shower, no tub to step over. We stayed there because my husband was having eye surgery and it was about a mile and a half away from the surgery site. It was a good call. Quiet and clean, and the manager was very nice and accommodating. A good choice all the way around! call.

I understand that this property is under renovation, but the hallways needed vacuumed terribly. There were bags of linens and trash that stayed in the hallway all day. Once in our room, the carpet had obviously not been vacuumed and we had no towels. Unfortunately, we checked in at 230 am and had prepaid for 4 nights, so we decided to stay. The bathroom and beds WERE clean. In the morning, we found that we had no soap for the shower, except the one small one on the sink, and the shampoo bottle was half full.

Pubic and other hair everwhere. Sent photo of a long hair stuck in something white at the night. Girls hair clips all over the room. Used candy under the bed. Previous guest clearly used shower as a toilet and was covered in hair. Removed dozens of David Rizk's hotel pubic hairs and made numerous complaints. They woke me up before 8 both mornings. How they received such a good rating on hotels.com is baffling as even their breakfast is blatantly a requirement the manager doesnt like accomodating. You get tickets and whenever we would walk through the one time we were allowed, they were out of most stuff. I had to tell multiple staff members to leave my disabled 13 year old alone at breakfast and in the halls. It was the most disappointing stay this year, and Studio 6 next door has a roach infestation. I generally do not provide hotel reviews. However, the manager of this hotel is a special kind of disappointment. I really like Choice Hotels. Comfort Inn at Camp Verde is one of my favorite AZ hotels. I booked the room for showers and relaxation because i have a back injury and my kids and I were going to a cabin for a week. The shared shower at our campground is more suitable for children than Sleep Inn pubic hairs. Eventually received a response from manager after hotel.com and his corporate office attempted to remedy the situation. General manger was obnoxious, entitled, self-centered, rude, and doesnt know how to speak to a man while he is caring for two disabled children.

It would have been nice if it showed online that this property was being renovated. The only amenity available is the pool. Smells like paint. Front desk area completely torn apart. 2nd floor half blocked off. Stains all over the carpet and the blankets. Mold in the shower. Definitely not what it showed online. This is ridiculous

Sheets and shower super dirty

I didn’t like that the WiFi was spotty connection to my cellphone & laptop! Then eventually didn’t work at all.

The pillows and blankets were terrible. The pillows were little squares with cotton balls. The blanket was like a really thin curtain. I actually drove to Walmart and bought a decent blanket to sleep with. The breakfast was not very good either, rubber eggs and bad sausage. The beds were okay.

Great service. This was a good choice for us needing to turn in our rental car and get to the airport. The WiFi worked great in the breakfast room at the west end of the motel, but hardly at all in our room at the east end of the motel. It had an outdoor pool and hot tub, but we did not use.

The room is a little on the small side but adequate. I would have prefered more desk space and possibly a nice chair with a foot stool and side table. The refrigerator was amazing it couldn't have been set any better (soda and drinks were ice cold). The TV and internet both worked great also. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The dining area is small and tables are hard to find but the breakfast was very good. Hats off to the breakfast lady on the omlettes and bacon and on quickly cleaning tables. She's friendly and obviously enjoys meeting people.

I do not recommend to stay here in Fliday night. I couldn’t sleep due to the blast sounds of the custom car running on the highway in front of the room.

Friendly staff and professional…

I didn't get a chance to experience anything. Nobody was at the desk or able to be found so I cancelled my stay and went somewhere else. If they can't find a way to be reached, it won't get better and several other guests were looking for staff too

Great staff, clean and quiet room

Property is under renovation and should be closed until completed. Hallways are full of drywall dust which tracks into rooms. Room was dusty and had a stale odor. TV did not work- front desk staff tried to help but couldn’t fix it. Said that the cable place would need to reset- which didn’t happen. I asked for a discount but was ignored. There are better options in town.

Staff was rude. Tried getting a late check out. Because I worked all night. Couldn't find hotel phone number anywhere. And asked when I got there. For a late check out. They gave me 30 minutes. Tried taking a shower. Only for staff to interrupt shower 4 times.

Construction dust and debris everywhere. They actually change and post the deposit, not just put a hold and then I had to bug them twice over a week later when I still wasn't seeing a refund. I'd spend the extra $5 to sleep somewhere else next time

When I went to check out and get my deposit back the morning manager tried to say I already checked out and collected it. Complete liars

The check-in was quick and pleasant. We asked for a ground floor room because my wife had surgery and the front desk person honored our request. The room was clean but showed its age. The bed was comfortable but the furnishings were sparse, only one chair for sitting and watching tv. There were no washcloths or hand towels. My wife and I were woken up at 5:00 am to the sound of water leaking in the bathroom. To our dismay water was pouring ou of the ceiling at an alarming rate , the bathroom floor was flooded and creeping into the room. I called the front desk and “Andrew” came immediately surveyed the situation and gave us a new room so we moved our stuff into the new room which was only two doors down. After sleeping for a couple of hours we went to the breakfast room and again very disappointed in its offerings, basically white toast, powdered eggs no batter for pancakes, no juice, some yogurt, and Cheerios. The front desk was very apologetic but did not offer any compensation for the inconvenience suffered. In their defense they stated they just purchased the motel a few weeks ago and will be starting renovations soon. Hopefully, the sooner the better!

Overall it was fine. It wasn’t as bad as some people mentioned before. The price is reasonable compared to hotels in the area. The breakfast is ok. They recently changed management, and is trying to improve the hotel. Although me and another guest had to wait about 10 min until someone from front desk showed up.

Just needed a place convenient to my son’s apartment to sleep and shower. This place fit the bill. The building was always quiet. I would stay there again. Budget friendly.

Bad neighborhood, dirty stinky rooms, not helpful staff...do not waste your trip

This property is conveniently located in North Phoenix and is not far from most of the popular places. The Costco is only .5 mile from it and even though it's close to freeway, there was no noise inside. I stayed 2 nights and happy with my stay.

The location was close to my travel route, staff friendly, room was clean, and breakfast was good. Was also great that they take dogs as mine travels with me all the time and has been all over the country.

The room was very quiet and clean, but the neighborhood was sketchy. Limited breakfast because the "truck didn\'t show up"

The hotel is nice, room is clean and I was satisfied with the check in process. I gave area around the property a bad mark because it looks unsafe, i wouldn't want to walk from here to the convenience store a block away due to shady looking people hanging around

The property was right off the interstate, and very convenient for my stay. I could easily get to the venue I was traveling to daily. Very limited parking in the front.

Over all it was ok. But we picked this hotel because it said had hot tub and free breakfast. Turns out hot tub was down for repairs and once at dining room we found out all drinks including hot water were broken.

staff was friendly. Breakfast poor and no one around to keep stocked. Had to ask someone to get a tea bag and was only offered three to "Pick" from. clean and bed comfortable. The manager was so friendly and explained they were making renovations.

Everything was nice. Really good value for the money. Enjoyed my stay. Pool nice and warm. Breakfast had eggs and sausage along with the basics. Staff was friendly. I felt safe.

The Sleep Inn is in the middle of a major rennovation. We went to breakfast at 6:30 a.m. and there was no coffee, no plastic knives, and their pancake machine wasn't working. I went back at 9:30 a.m. for coffee, there were no cups. I don't know how the rennovation affected the free breakfast service.
