Kind of run down. The room was ok, but bathroom needs updating and there were roaches coming from under the toilet. The breakfast was basically bread and cereal. However, the laundry machines were easy to use. Overall, I wouldn't stay here again.

There are two elevators, neither one was operational when we arrived: we were on the third floor. This was not ideal given we had driven 14 hours to get there and had to haul everything upstairs. The breakfast was disappointing: two cereal options, juice, and bread. There was coffee at least. Others have remarked about the building needing updates. This is very true. It was not visually pleasing, but it was somewhere to sleep, shower, and change clothes before spending the day in DC. The neighborhood was a bit questionable, but we never felt in danger. The air conditioner did not work well and the room was never cooler than 70 degrees. When we first arrived, the staff had left the heat blasting and it was 90 degrees when we first arrived. We had to leave the door open to cool it off. We did see roaches three times. The most disturbing was my son waking up to one crawling on him during the night. One in the shower and one near the door. Overall, it wasn’t horrible, it just wasn’t great. For $90 per night after fees, the proximity to DC, it was fine and met our basic needs.

We got a double room which was a good size. Older hotel but was clean. Just needs a few touch ups. Elevator not working at this time. Location is good with a lot of dining options. Construction going on outside on roadway but didn't notice the noise. Longer walk into DC area than thought but can be done. Good location if driving

My room was on the second floor, and the elevator was out of service. The hotel was not in the best area, and the room, although clean had definitely seen better days. Convenient to public transit there was a bus stop right outside.

The beds were comfortable. We could've used more towels and facecloths daily but staff gave extra without issue. Breakfast consisted of raisin bran, frosted flakes, toast with jam options, fruit cup, apple or orange juice, and coffee. They did have a washer and dryer for use for free and the desk gives you tide laundry detergent.

This hotel is pretty rundown. Everything worked in our room, but we did hear other people mention some things failing in their rooms. The breakfast if very basic, compared to other Wyndham's we've stayed at. The elevator was not working; during our stay, we learned that it hadn't worked for months. The best part about this hotel is that there are decent eateries around, public transportation transportation access is great and the hotel staff are very willing and accessible to help. The inside pictures of rooms they show here must be from another Wyndham, not this one. We were expecting and paid for a kitchenette, there were no such rooms at this site.

This was the worst place that I’ve ever have stayed in. It was dirty. A lotta things broken very smoky smelling room with broken furniture, very rusty on the inside of the microwave. The furniture was in very very poor condition. I would never put anything clothing in it. The curtains, dry rot chairs filthy I would not recommend this place to anyone. The pictures that they have online does not look anything like their own. It needs to be totally rehab

When we arrived our first room had roaches. Got another room and the second day we started seeing roaches. The sink wast dripping and could not shut off. The only reason I know they never swept & mopped is because the roach I killed the day before was still there. Do not recommend!

Hotel is really in bad conditions… rooms smell heavy smoke and heating was not working; the breakfast was terrible, they had cockroaches inside the Cereal & the Bread was spoiled & expired. We approached the Manager who justify himself saying “all hotels have cockroaches” this place unfortunately in very bad conditions.

Our room was unclean - dirty and dusty - there were bugs everywhere - floor, drawers, towels, shower... Even bugs in our bags by the morning despite being put off the ground. There was constant noise from the road and parking lot. We were woken up by noisy guests right outside our door in the middle of the night. There was a draft coming in the door and the lock on the door was falling off.

Everyone working there was friendly. They did have an insect problem. I found several cockroaches in the room. When I turned over the bathmat one day, it was covered with ants. The room temperature was too high for comfort. The lowest setting for AC was 66 but it was warmer than 66 in the room and there was no way to decrease the temperature.

The good: Price (obviously), convenience to transportation and services, room was reasonably clean and free of pests, mattress was encased in an anti-bed bug protector. New single-use toiletries and clean towels in the washroom. Front desk person was friendly and helpful enough. Some conversation-level noise through the wall but it didn't impede my sleep. The bad: The hotel has seen better days - serviceable but quite old and run down. Only two of three lamps were functional, mattress and pillows were terribly lumpy and uncomfortable. The HVAC was inexplicably set to 86 and heat upon arrival so when I walked into the room it was stiflingly hot. Curtains don't completely cover the window so one must creatively use the hangers to ameliorate the situation. The neighborhood is working class and multicultural. It's not Clarendon or Court House. You'd never get a motel at this price point in those neighborhoods. I, however, never felt unsafe and didn't observe any of the illegal activity alleged in some other reviews.

It was okay overall. We did have an issue with the hot water on the first morning which meant we had to take a shower in barely warm water. Thankfully they were able to fix it for us later that day. The room though was cold and the heating unit didn’t have a lot of effect. Rooms are a good size and it wasn’t too noisy. It was generally clean. The hotel could do with a new coat of paint and some upgrades as it looks very tired. Relatively easy to get into DC and there are some good options nearby for groceries and food. You get exactly what you pay for in the price range.

It was okay, but the plummeting was quite poor. The tub and sink drained water slowly, causing them to overflow when in use. The coffee pot was also filthy and hazardous to use. I still appreciate the mattress protectors on the beds. It’s a fantastic idea to keep guests safe from coming in contact with the bodily fluids of others. I would recommend, however, removing all cloth furniture and replacing them with furniture, such as plastic, that’s easy to clean and sanitize. My family never sit on this hotel’s chairs because they’re filthy.

Person that checked us in was not very friendly. While waiting on food delivery also asked about borrowing iron and got upset. Said that people always ask for things when he is about to go eat or take a break. I'm sorry but how are guests supposed to know when his breaks are. He is in the hospitality business and was not very hospitable. Beds were verh uncomfortable. Roaches in the bathroom and in the dining area. Elevator did not work. Random person knocking loudly at our door at 5 in the morning, kind of scary. Was walking distance to several restaurants.

Had a good stay. There were problems with the door lock opening on two occasions. Got the duty clerk, manager or the receptionist to help open it the first time. A pleasant and polite welcome during check-in will be appropriate and necessary.

The night shift at the lobby was disrespectful and aggressive. He bang at our door at 2am in the morning to just ask us to turn the tv down when the tv was not even on. And when we comply about the roach and the wrongfulness of his behavior he came and scream at us we left the second day not event finish our stay! I would never recommend this place.

The location is excellent because you have access to restaurants, delis, etc. but the customer service when I entered the hotel for do the check in the lady at the reception who attended me was angry and answered me rudely, I did not like her energy, because is the first time we are here

The staff were absolutely lovely - so friendly, smiling, and welcoming. The room was spacious with a great bathtub and strong shower pressure. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. The TV was a bit outdated, but we didn’t really watch it, so it wasn’t an issue. Housekeeping was available frequently when needed, though we often left the room a bit late in the day. The hotel itself isn’t new, but it’s very well-kept and has a warm, inviting atmosphere. I’m really glad I chose this place - no regrets at all!

It was what I expected from an @ $80/night room. It didn't look exactly like the pictures online in my opinion, but our room was clean, the walls were freshly painted, there was a television, mini fridge, microwave, & single cup coffee pot. There was cold cereal, instant oatmeal, toast, coffee, & juice for breakfast. There is a nice selection of food & entertainment within walking distance. The front-desk attendant who checked us in & out was friendly. I would stay here again.

This site is convenient for catching the 16bus to metro; very easy in/out of downtown DC & all its iconic sites for about $2.50 each way. Staff are kind and although breakfast is basic, it sufficed. Motel is old and less than stellar. Hot showers are hot with good water pressure.

The condition of the property is not the best, but it is located alin a great neighborhood with shopping and many tasty dining options and near a bus stop. The beds were clean and comfy, the air conditioner worked well and a lot of hot water for showering. Rather limited continental breakfast - toast, instant oatmeal and fruit cups. We saved a lot of money and our necessities were all met..

Fruit flys, cockroaches, breakfast bar was white bread, or sugar cereal, there was corn syrup saturated fruit cups. Nothing fresh no yogurt bleach coffee. Outlets were loose and we were unable to charge our phones without having to wait hours, no usb plug ins, no table in room other than desk,bathroom. We had to request housekeeping after four days. Area was decent but we were harassed at the gas station and at McDonalds across the street. Bonus was owners were nice, hotel just needs updated.

Lovely people in our experience, the sushi place down stairs is a big plus. There’s lots of food options that are within East walking distance. If you want wheelchair accessible you’ll have to make sure its a first floor room. There is no elevator.
