Days Inn by Wyndham Salisbury

I stayed at this motel (not a hotel) with my 2 kids on the night of June 22, 2024 in room 248. We only needed a room to sleep in after a long day at the beach, before heading home the next morning. Our room was clean and comfortable, but the bathtub had a lot of scratches/wear-and-tear. There was no drain stopper and the water dripped. I couldn't and wouldn't let my kids take a bath in it. The only towels we had were 2 washcloths, 1 hand towel, and 1 floor towel (zero bath towels). I took a shower and used the floor towel as my bath towel. The shower curtain needed to be bleached, due to reddish mildew stains -- it seemed clean but with old stains. We had 1 trash can, no tissues, 1 roll of toilet paper (no extra roll), 2 soaps, and 2 shampoos (or maybe they were body wash; I didn't totally take notice of what they were b/c we didn't need them). The property appeared sketchy and was definitely not as advertised. There's no guest laundry facilities. Breakfast consisted of individually wrapped honey buns and a basic coffee machine. It's not connected to a convention center (which didn't matter to us). I chose it because it was the lowest price I could find at $119 and because I trusted the Days Inn brand, based on a couple/few stays at other Days Inn locations. However, we definitely will NOT stay there again, and my trust in the Days Inn brand is shaken after this experience.

Good location, plenty of parking. Front desk staff was great. Property is a bit dated but not too expensive.

The rooms were ok. The building was a complete dump. There was no ice machine. The soda machines served warm sodas. Just. Not a great place.

Non-smoking room smelled like smoke. There were cockroaches in the bathroom. The sheets had blood on them. I walked in the room and then walked right out. I asked for a different room and they said that they did not have any non-smoking room available since everyone smokes. They offered a refund and cancellation, however, they kept $27 since they stated that I used "amenities". The pictures are not even close to an actual representation of the hotel. There is no pool, even though it is advertised. Run very far from this place.

The amenities listed such as morning breakfast laundry and fitness center. Do not exist at this property no access to laundry no access to fitness center. No coffee or breakfast in the morning rooms were dirty

When we booked on-line, it was listed as a pet friendly location. We drive from out of state and arrive at the hotel only to learn that they NO LONGER ACCEPT PETS. We had to cancel the booking and look for ANOTHER hotel that would be able to take us on such short notice.

The online pictures and representation of this establishment is extremely misleading and false. This looks condemned when we pulled into the parking lot and I thought it had closed down and went out of business. The facility is in disrepair unacceptable in all facets.

I went to check out and found my car stabbed!! Literally 4 stab marks in front fender and ding in the driver's side door. Room was dirty, drain in tub was backing up and sludge coming out. Paint on sheets. Pictures on here are nothing like the comdotion of the property.

Staff did their best, but were limited by property. Dirty smelly rooms,cigarette burns on bedding, featured amenities sparse or non existing. On top of everything else at the property, EXPEDIA lied about the refund that the property released to them on my behalf and kept it????

Im surprised that have the Wyndham name on it. Even have rooms with cats and apparently people living there but very filthy. Nothing works the refreshment machine and the ice machine. Room looks like they dont take care of them. The only good thing the little laps in the room thar are new apparently. Pics in site not telling you how bad this hotel is and the price where exorbitant almost 150 that night. People smoking all around and more....

The property had bed bugs alive and dead.

The rooms have a smell. The beds are dirty and smell. Showers are dirty! I killed 6 flys in the room. There was also different types of bugs walking around. Sketchy location.

Extremely disgusting room. Walls, floors, sheets, towels were all dirty/stained. Asked for our room to be cleaned and get new sheets/towels before the 3 day mark and it was not done. Also, no breakfast even though the site says there is.

It was horrible. There was roaches spiders, all other kinds of bugs, dead bugs, dead roaches in the lamps the beds bedbugs I mean this please is about The worst place ever stayed in my life and I’ve lived in some bad places. I cannot believe it. I am traumatized by this stay, I can’t even believe Hotels.com even have this hotel on their website. That’s how bad it is. I’m not the person to complain, but this was ridiculous.

If i could give negative 10 rating i would. It looked like one if those crack hotels ypu see in movies when someone gets killed. This place is extremely filthy. There were dead flies on the bed and all over the room. The door didnt properly close or lock. It smelled horrid. When i looked around i immediately left. Went to the front desk and was told so casually that flies are normal. Especially this time of year. I requested a refund but i dont see it yet. Its been 2 days already

Room was falling apart. Door would not shut the whole way, door was also flimsy. Walls were filthy, shower fixtures were held in with wood screws and did not turn on completely. Housekeeping never came and we ran out of toilet paper. Hair on the ceilings. Bed was held together by tape.

There were big roaches in the room crawling on the wall and behind the tv stand. The ac was not properly working and it was so hot in the room. The ac came on and stayed on for a few min, never cooled the room, then cut off. I checked the settings several times. It was properly set to cool the room. I was tichi g and scratching all throughout the night. I had several red bite marks on my legs stomach and neck from what looked like flea bites consistently. I am very upset

The man at check-in was very nice. The room was dirty. I didn’t want to touch anything. There were bugs everywhere. There was trash on the floor. No hand soap was provided.

The property rooms were dirty, linen was stained and dingy, no working room phones,no hot water handle on the sink, no air conditioner vent cover, no ice machines, hair dryer and outlet not working, tub had soap scum stains and tub handles and knobs dirty and stained, the fridge not cleaned had stains from left over food, the microwave door was rusty, bed linen was stained,and the floors was dirty not mopped, they advertised breakfast and wi-fi- no breakfast offered just coffee and juice, no wi- fi, Over all this hotel was just a filthy wreck. I would not recommend this place to anyone. This place needs to be shutdown. The hotel manager was not accommodating at all. Will never stay at this hotel again. TRASH.

No hot water for the sink. The room was supposed to be non smoking but smelled like it wasn’t. I had to kill 4 roaches plus terrible customer service

Very little bedding, only a sheet and thin duvet on 40° nights. Open gaps in the door way and around the ac unit. No cups or ice bin in room. Entire hotel exterior is dirty, run down, in need of repair and updating. No easy access to second level. Subpar attemept to "upgrade" the room, but overall the room was dingy and not very pleasant.

The room reaked or burnt. This was booked as a non-smoking room. The walls and doors were filthy, and the entry door did not close all the way. It appeared as thought the police had knocked the door in a few time, as you could see a wide gap of light around the bottom of the door. Any mouse or roach could have easily walked right in. The hot and cold shower handles were both falling off, and the floor was very gritty and dirty. This hotel room was in very poor condition.

Check in was easy. Room looked clean in the dark. Switched light on and started noticing issues right away. Lights were anemic, TV didn't work, phone didn't work, flies buzzing around, door didn't close unless you slammed it, AC sounded like jet engines, and floor was dirty. Bed was good.

Check in was fast. We couldn’t get past the horrible smell of stale smoke. Even bought an air freshener that still didn’t help. The front desk staff came to spray but again it helped for like 10 min. The room was nonsmoking but smelled like smoke and even had a burn hole in the comforter. Will not be staying here again

You get what you pay for. Doors didn’t close securely. Used chair to add extra security of the door. TV didn’t work and phone were not hooked up. bathroom was decent Just slept (when I could due to noisy guest outside room fighting at midnight) and got out quickly the next morning.

Lots of water spots on ceilings , big gap in the front door, water never got hot in the shower. We only stayed for 10 hours to rest while passing through. It served its purpose

I booked a king room, get there and they tell me I’m getting a double room. Room key kept quitting. Everyday we’d have to go have it fixed. Boy at counter was rude, and barely spoke English. Room had a smoke smell to it. Toilet seat lid was missing a bolt so it kept going sideways. Place was semi clean and tolerable, but I’d never stay there again.

It was a good place to stay if you need a nice comfortable bed, no bugs, shower, and bathroom. Microwave was fine. Fridge/freezer - fridge cold enough for some things, freezer not that good

The night receptionist was exceptional very very helpful and courteous joy to deal with would highly recommend anyone else

The place is horrible!!! First off, i reserved a room a week ago only to get to the destination and find out my room was taken! So i had to book another room, only to get in that room and it was dirty. Hairs in the bathroom tub and didnt even get fresh towels. The service was absolutely horrendous and i advice everyone to stay away from this particular place. Furious!!

Checking in was no problem. The young lady at the counter honored my request for a bottom floor room. She was very courteous and polite and did whatever she could do to honor my request. No complaints about the room. It was very clean with the exception of the bathroom sink which kept backing up and was unable to run the water at full stream. The only other complaint I have is that I have no main service available to me for the three day stay and when I ask for a late check out I was told they could not honor that but after complaining I was told I could check out at 11:30. When I returned to the room, the maids were already cleaning my room at 10:45 and she explained to me that she had no notification of a late check out for my room.

The room was DISGUSTING!!! It smelled like a 100 people smoked in it before we arrived to our NON SMOKING room. The lady at check in was rude and did not say one word other than our room number. The absolute worst experience I have ever had at a Wyndham location

Arrived at 3pm to check in like the reservations stated, waited to be buzzed into the front desk waiting area. Proceeded to wait for 48 minutes due to the line, and only one person checking guest in. Waiting area was hot due to the air condition being overworked. The place was giving me bad vibes, very run down, people outside loitering, strong smell of urine and weed thru out entire complex. Went to check out room, surprisingly at first glance it looked OK, until the weed and cigarette smell smacked you in the face. Also had about 5 flies flying around, and all surfaces were very "sticky". Amongst a few other minor things that added up. It was at this point I felt uncomfortable and felt this wasn't a place for me and my daughter to spend just one night. I turned in my key, did not ask for a refund, and left.

Front desk staff very nice and friendly. Overall felt pretty clean. Sheets were clean. Wasn't a fan of the bathroom, very tiny and cigarette burns all over tub. Advertised as having free breakfast but there is only coffee and juice. Not a deal breaker for me but if I ordered this room for the breakfast I would have been upset. Overall it felt safe, there was no music playing or loud people and we stayed on a Saturday night. I would stay there again.

The property was in such disrepair that the manager issued me a refund. However, the refund went back to Expedia. And I’ve been unable to get it back

Nothing i didn't even stay because the room was smelling so badly,I requested a refund the person at the desk gave me receipt said that I will get my refund in 48 hours but I never received it,its seven days already

It's a nice location right off a main road witj a good selection of food nearby. Its definitely showing its age and the fridge could use a major de icing

Would not recommend this place I couldn’t stay there felt unsafe. I made the mistake of not checking the reviews before booking facility looks completely different in person.

This was a 1-star motel. The picture is misleading-- if it was zoomed out a slight bit, you would have seen a that it was in a pretty sketchy area. The cons: 1. Check in was behind a couple of security doors, and what looked like bullet-proof glass. 2. I reserved it online, but when checking in the clerk told me they require a $50 cash deposit that I would get back in the morning if there were no damages. He specifically said "cash" as he expected me to pull out two twenties and a ten to hand over to him. I told him "No thanks, and I'll go somewhere else." Then he relented and said it was okay not to pay this. That should have clued me in to go somewhere else. 3. The parking area was run down. I feared for the safety of my car. 4. My room didn't have a towel or a trash can. And it smelled pretty bad. Like it was a smoking room, which I assume it was because there were cigarette burn holes on the bed spread. 5. I was very close to chalking this up to a bad choice on my part and just forfeiting the money to go find a clean, safe hotel. And if I was not alone, but with my wife and kid, I would have indeed left. But it was just me and I only needed the room for seven hours, so I sucked it up. 6. The AC was very loud. Maybe that was a good thing to drown out the noise from the parking lot that was obnoxious until well after midnight. 7. The sink was clogged and the wifi didn't work. I didn't try the TV but it wouldn't have surprised me if it didn't work. The pros: None

This property is ideal if you are planning in visiting Ocean city. Something that I liked from here is that the property is surrounded by many food options like Long Horne restaurant, Olive Garden, McDonald’s, Hardee’s, among others.

I put up the placed looked sketchy and the 4 guys drinking 40s out front did not help. I decided to eat the cost of room and stay at another hotel.

My bro and I were in the area for the weekend for the Ocean City Airshow and were looking for a cheap place to stay. This being the cheapest one and only a 30min to the beach we stayed here. The Google reviews made it sound horrible so we weren't sure what to expect. BUT we were pleasantly surprised! The host was super nice and helpful. The room was very nice for the price we paid. The door was a bit loose when latches but they had bright LED lights outside so it didn't bother us. The room was clean and worked very well for our purposes. We would definitely look into booking again next Airshow season. DISCLAIMER: If you are looking for luxury this is not the place for you! It is a great budget friendly place to stay !

There were 2 flys and one strange bug in the bathroom. The door gapped letting cold air and noise in. The men drinking and smoking outside were suspicious and unnerving. The bedspread was stained and gross. The bathroom had unknown stains all over the tub. And, the coffee was simply unpallatable. The parking spaces were full and we had to park on the grass bordering the property. The ONLY positive was, it was convenient to the Seagull Century start.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! My husband was afraid to leave our car unattended. The place was sketchy! We took one step into the room and as much as it appeared clean, there was a stench that could not be ignored. Outside the door was a dirty diaper, and a woman in a nearby room SCREAMING at someone. I’ve stayed in some cheap gross motels in my youth, but this was a hard NO. There was something about the whole thing that felt unsafe.

When I arrived at 9pm, I drove around with my two granddaughters trying to find where to check in. That drive around showed how filthy, disgusting, and unsafe the environment was for me and my two granddaughters. When I went to check-in I was asked to please wait. No problem. I stood at the desk, pulling up my reservation. Another employee came to the room and said it will take a minute and please sit down. I was not sitting down and I was not staying there. I told them I was not staying there. That I deemed the environment unsafe for myself and my granddaughters and with that I left. As of right now it looks like they are still charging me for the room- and that battle will be fought. I understand the need to honor reservations, and I more importantly need to honor safety!

There’s no breakfast. Chose this place for location and because it had breakfast. So the money saved on a cheaper hotel went right out the window when you had to go out for breakfast every morning.

It was listed as having free breakfast. When I checked in I asked about the times and was told they don’t have breakfast. WHICH WAS THE REASON I CHOOSE THE PROPERTY! The tub was dirty, the towels looked like they were 20 years old and the TV pictures was fuzzy.

The first thing is, the office is a totally separate building from the hotel rooms. I asked the gentleman, checking me in what time breakfast was served?And he just smirked at me and said, no breakfast here, just juice and coffee. Hotels dot com advertises a grab and go breakfast, which is normally some croissants or something similar.So it's a bit of a walk. Normally not a problem, but the room stinks, literally stinks of pot and cigarettes. There is no coffee maker, no hairdryer, no cups to use for brushing your teeth. Flies everywhere in here. Cannot get the tv to work at all. Dirty floors. This is not even close to normal days in standards.And I would have expected to pay fifty dollars for a room and service this bad.
