The pool closed the day we arrived. I was disappointed. Room was stuffy and wood stick not long enough to keep window open. Staff was friendly and kept place clean. Meal was good in restaurant. Best option for location of walk ability to port and museum. We will be back.

Great location and beautiful property. I travelled there at the end of September so it was comfortable. I would imagine it could be quite hot in July and August as the rooms are small and there is no a/c. The tennis court has some pretty large cracks on it in case you play. Everyone is nice there, but definitely caters to an older crowd-as in senior citizens. At the same time, if you have young children, you can watch them play on the large front lawn without having to worry about oncoming traffic. Not a better situated property anywhere in town. You can see whales from their front lawn.

This charming hotel has an unparalleled location overlooking the bay in Tadoussac. The water spreads before you and the hills appear slowly as the mist rises in the morning. A short stroll along a boardwalk brings you to a rocky outcrop where the Saguenay River meets the St Lawrence. Take a seat there and watch the whales as they feed and play at the confluence of the two rivers. The hotel property itself is impeccably maintained with deck chairs facing the water on the huge front lawn, tables in the shade, flower gardens and a wonderful pool. The lobby is a great gathering spot for a drink or a card game with friends, and the bar is cozy and comfortable. The rooms are spotless and the bed was comfortable. The balconies upstairs offer great views out to the St Lawrence. Intimate restaurants along the main street about a minute's walk away have great food and a friendly atmosphere. We didn't try the larger hotel restaurant but it looked good. We had a truly amazing stay in Tadoussac and we give this hotel the highest recommendation possible.

Grand hôtel au charme d'antan avec chambre récemment rafraîchie sans perdre son style. Excellent petit déjeuner buffet très complet, avec vue sur la baie depuis la verrière. Grand jardin avec chaises longues pour profiter de la vue et du soleil. Jeux à disposition et grand parking très pratique pour partir en excursion.

Beautiful property! This is a grand old hotel with a premier location in this beautiful town. This is not a modern hotel for tech convenience/business (although it had great wi-fi and good TV options). Instead it's an old-school hotel for relaxation and soaking in the amazing atmosphere. There is tennis, swimming, shuffleboard, a nice restaurant and lounge and the location can't be beat. Convenient to the dock for whale watching tours, right next to the beach, close to restaurants and hiking trails. It was a pleasure to sit out and enjoy the view while chatting or reading. My teens loved the shuffleboard and tennis (all equipment can be borrowed from the hotel). Accomodations were comfortable with plenty of towels and pillows and the staff were very helpful and kind. Can't wait to go back!

This hotel feels as if it’s out of an old movie. Everything was amazing but the staff really made the stay exceptional. I love the layout, everything faces the water. There are lots of common lounge spaces.

The Hotel Tadoussac is a beautiful historic hotel that takes you back in time when families went to mountain resorts for family time. The lobby and guest area is large with a beautiful fireplace. We saw families playing games together and a puzzle to be worked on at the tables provided. Comfortable couches and chairs to relax and visit in with a beautiful view of the St Lawrence River. The room was compact but comfortable. I was so happy to find a bathtub! There were a few minor issues—the door handle on the bathroom was broken. We enjoyed our stay here

We stayed at Hotel Tadoussac for the long weekend and we found it was definitely the best place to be in town! The hotel is very well kept-up, everything was extremely clean, the staff was amazing and all around we had an awesome experience and will be definitely coming back when we are back in Tadoussac. I honestly think it exceeded my expectations, as it is an old hotel, but everything was so clean and well kept. Also aesthetically the hotel is decorated quite tastefully with beautiful paintings, and it is simply beautiful itself as a building. We loved it!

Stay was great. Hotel beautiful. Could see whales early in morning close to hotel. Belugas in the St. Lawrence close to the mouth within walking distance around 10 am. Shops and restaurants within walking distance. Only thing that would improve the room would be a refrigerator.

Great old hotel. Simple amenities in the rooms. No fridges. The grounds are beautiful, you can sit on the front lawn overlooking the cove. Walk to whale watching excursions. Lots of local cafes and restaurants. For something special we booked dinner in the main dining room. The salad and french onion soup were very good but our main meals, the pork chop and the duck seemed pre cooked and held for serving. The potatoes and veg were also overcooked. Disappointing for this hotel where we have had great meals in the past. Our server was amazing.

This hotel is an older style resort which I simply adored. I particularly liked the spacious lounge from where you could watch the ocean or from the deck chairs outside. I also enjoyed the bar area where I could listen to a live performer in the evenings. Note though for those who like or need AC, this hotel does not have it. Instead they have quiet overhead fans in the bedrooms and you can open the windows. I was fine with that but others may not be.

Hotel Tadoussac brings to mind a by gone era of grandeur and class without the stuffiness or snobbery. The service is friendly and welcoming and very helpful. But the real glory is in the expansive huge welcoming lobby, with couches and tables, full windows overlooking the bay. The vast garden is populated with Adirondack chairs for your viewing pleasure. The buffet breakfast offers wide choices and is in a lovely setting. Both the hotel and restaurant are great value for the fee. We would recommend without hesitation.

Hotel impeccable. Personnel en grande partie impeccable. Seulement un gros bémol le jeudi 1er août où nous avions réservé pour le souper une table dans la verrière et le placier ne voulait que nous donner une table derrière un comptoir à vaisselle. Nous avons poliment refusé mentionnant que nous avions réservé. Il a pousser un énorme soupir, il a pris les menus et les a déposé violemment sur une autre table libre dans la verrière et il est parti sans nous regarder et parler. Par la suite, si le serveur n'aurait pas été si gentil, nous serions allés manger ailleurs.

The staff responsible for assigning tables (during breakfast on Wednesday, Aug 14) gave us the worst possible table. The table was next to the boxes of cutlery, facing the computer, in front of the wall, with no view of the beautiful bay. The dining room was five percent full. The hotel has a lovely dining area that faces the bay. When I requested a new table, the staff member was mad. Finally, she moved me to a better table. We decided not to return to the hotel's restaurant.

The hotel is older and reminds me of Muskoka hotels. There is no small fridge in room. One night we dined looking forward to our gourmet dinner from their reknown chefs. Ordered French Onion Soup and it was the worse onion soup I have ever had - no flavour, not even piping hot. Very disappointed. The rest of the dinner was ok nothing great. Breakfast buffet was very good but pricey. The grounds are beautiful and lovely to look out on the St Lawrence. Within walking distance of the village and where you take the whale watching boat

It is an historic property and in a beautiful setting with a lovely view of Tadoussac bay and harbour. Our room was somewhat small and had a small bathroom with poor counter space. The decor and furniture reflects the historic period when the hotel served as a destination for travellers on the St. Lawrence river. The hotel dining room food and beverage service was average although the food quality was good. The affordable wine prices and choices were poor to average. There are better dining choices nearby in Tadoussac.

We enjoyed the unique setting on the bay, the interior furniture that reflects he age of the building, the unique restaurant with it’s painted walls and lovely enclosed veranda with the view on the bay and the well-maintained room and bathroom. The supper menu and the breakfast buffet were excellent!

Hotel well located. It is an old hotel: carpets, windows, not air conditioning,… small room. The hotel is beautiful taking account small village. Breakfast was very limited on choices: fruit, cheese, jams, etc. I got espresso coffee 😁. The souper “table hôte” with 3 services was not exceptional. Staff very nice.

Nice traditional hotel, well maintained in general. Rooms are in good shape despite the obvious age of the property. I would like the room service to be offered by default and not by request. The buffet breakfas is a very average american breakfast... nothing special. The dinner at the restaurant was good.

Nice hotel especially compared to what else is in area. We enjoyed our stay. We were glad the weather had cooled off a bit because there is no air conditioning in rooms only a fan in room and had to open window if it had been as hot as it has been and not cooled off it would have been hard to sleep as rooms are small and not much air movement. Other than that breakfast was very good and the bar drinks bartender food and entertainment was great. Very convenient for our trip to see the whales

Beautiful location looking out over the st Lawrence River. Convient walking distance to downtown and Marina. No air conditioning in rooms would be my only issue in the hot month's. Good was excellent table de hote menu. All on all a beautiful hotel.
