We loved our stay here - the perfect place to relax near the end of a busy trip. We didn't eat in the restaurant in the evening, but breakfast and lunch items were delicious and well presented. We particularly loved the design of the interiors and quality of the refurbishment which I think is quite recent. I had a really great experience in the spa in particular. We found the location convenient for Cedofeita in the evenings and also enjoyed the local area of the hotel.

If I were to design the perfect hotel, it would look very much like Palacete Severo. This is a rare gem where everything feels effortlessly right: the elegant décor, the warmth and attentiveness of the staff, the lush gardens, the superb restaurant, the generous breakfast, the wonderfully comfortable beds and the breathtaking pool. Every detail has been considered, yet nothing feels contrived. Palacete Severo offers that rarest form of luxury: beauty without pretension and impeccable service delivered with genuine warmth. Stay here for a romantic escape, to celebrate something special, or simply to celebrate the pleasure of being alive. If you are travelling to Porto, look no further.

We had a lovely stay at the Palacete Severo. Our room was comfortable. The property is unusual and charming. We loved spending time in the library and felt welcome to make ourselves at home. Breakfast was excellent. And the staff incredibly kind and accommodating.
