Love this hotel - no window in room and feels communal but that’s its charm. It’s a super charming place! Cool bar and restaurant and so central to shopping district. Close to everything. The upstairs pool and sauna are great and the movie room is neat! Hotel staff was super nice and helpful when I got sick!

Great location, wife and i needed a retreat from the hussle and bussle of Porto and this provided it. Strongly believe its a great spot to relax with own tucked away pod, dark, and cool when needed with comfortable bed and amenities, but great common spaces, spa, pool, restruant and common area. Also very well situated in Porto. Highly highly recommend.

Minimalistic 10x. Only a wooden box for a room. 8x8 room. All amenities are within the hotel but not in room. Great concept. Fun stay. They have a rooftop lounge and terrace. Water tank “pool” and cool restaurant and bar downstairs. Old bank converted to hotel. Cool vibes.

Xero box does what it says on the tin. Room had just what you need - there is a nice bar/restaurant on ground floor and bar and rooftop sun terrace on floor 5. Its a good location close to the metro.

The boxes were very cozy and quiet. Small but had everything you needed. The rooftop with the plunge pools were nice. We ate at the restaurant and the food was good. The bar has a nice lively vibe. We had an unfortunate accident one night in town and the staff were so very kind to us when we arrived back at the hotel. It was a great stay!

Le concept est dingue l’accueil est très agréable. Concernant l’hôtel il y a un sauna, un rooftop avec deux grosses bassines pour se baigner, un restaurant il y a tout ce qu’il faut. Les chambres sont très propres.

O Zero Box Lodge é uma opção bastante interessante no Porto. Hotel de atitude e proposta modernas. O atendimento foi excelente em todos os momentos, com bastante atenção por parte de todos os funcionários. Não está em uma região extremamente turística, porém fica a uma curta caminhada de vários atrativos e tem estação de metrô nas proximidades. Café da manhã muito bom, com itens bastante frescos. As áreas comuns são muito agradáveis, espaçosas, até mesmo com tanques (piscinas) para banho. Há restaurante e bar no hotel. O quarto é realmente uma caixa de madeira, baixo e não muito grande, o que pode incomodar um pouco depois de alguns dias. Nada, porém, que prejudique a experiência. O banheiro, por sua vez, é grande, com bom chuveiro. A cama é confortável. No geral, quarto bastante suficiente para aproveitar a cidade. Recomendamos o hotel.

El lugar muy cómodo la cama la habitación las luces, las instalaciones de la amabilidad del personal, el buffet del desayuno muy variado y sabroso. Un lugar muy limpio con todas las amenidades con terraza alberca sauna roofgarden, bar y restaurantes lo recomiendo muchísimo, me volvería a hospedar muchas veces nuevamente.

Overall enjoyable stay and good value for a 1 week stay in Porto. Staff friendly and courteous. We liked the minimalist box concept and the rooms were very dark at night allowing for a good sleep. Bed was comfortable and A/C was powerful. Wi-Fi was good. On the downside, due to the lack of windows/ventilation, the bathroom had a constant damp smell, and there were a couple of bugs/flies in the area after a couple of days. The terrace/pool area was nice but a little tired. We didn’t try the main bar/restaurant as the price was higher than the local offerings, but the pool bar was reasonable. Also of a night the room would be rather noisy due to the thin box concept which could make it a little difficult to sleep. Overall happy with the stay, would visit again and would recommend to friends.

Leuk hotel. Leuk concept. Mooie lounge ruimte. Goede ligging. Vriendelijk personeel. Helaas was de bar boven maar 2x in een hele week bezet. En onze kamer was niet echt schoon ( de vloer). We hadden gelukkig wel een raam in tegenstelling tot de meeste kamers. Zou zeker terug gaan.

The side street this hotel was located on was a bit sketchy, but very close to the main road. Staff and the quality of the hotel was great- definitely geared toward an under 45 crowd. Rooftop pool was unavailable due to maintenance which was a bummer. There was a considerable amount of mold in the bathroom of my ‘box’- around the base of the shower and in behind the sink. The industrial aesthetic, dim lighting and absence of windows might lead one to overlook it. I would stay here again on a solo trip but the box might be tight for two people.

En dos días de alojamiento encontramos cucarachas en el baño, NO HAY WIFI, aparcamiento lejos y NO del hotel (tuve q pagar), café MUY malo

Bed sheet not clean. The bed frame very dusty. Floor a bit sticky

Ich habe mich leider zu keiner Zeit in dieser Unterkunft wohlgefühlt. Die Zustände waren leider unzumutbar sowie unverschämt. Als ich mein Zimmer das erste Mal betreten habe, ist mir sofort der feuchte bzw. nasse Boden aufgefallen. Ohne Badelatschen wäre ich des Öfteren auf diesen Stellen weggerutscht. Der Bettdeckenbezug war total zerrissen. Die Bettwäsche war generell sehr durchsichtig, so dass man auf der Matratze viele fremde Haare erkennen konnte. Die Kissen sowie die Decke waren vergilbt und unschön anzusehen. Beim Betreten des Badezimmers dann der nächste Schock. Die Handtücher waren sehr rau und ebenfalls zerrissen bzw. kaputt. Auch der Föhn funktionierte nicht. Der Kordelzug an der Toilettenspülung war ebenfalls kaputt. Ich habe diese Mängel direkt der Rezeption gemeldet und um Beseitigung gebeten. Leider wurde bis zum meinem Check out keiner dieser Mängel beseitigt. Diese Unterkunft war leider eine sehr enttäuschende Erfahrung.

A estadia foi ótima e o hotel é excelente. Se precisar voltar, ficarei lá mais uma vez. O único problema foi um cheiro de esgoto que aparecia algumas vezes no banheiro e era bem forte.

O quarto é confortável, limpo, a roupa de cama e banho é boa e limpa, silencioso. O banheiro está precisando de uma pintura mas a ducha é boa, tamanho do box é bom. Espaço de convivência excelente, café da manhã excelente. Agradecimento especial a toda equipe que foram muito atenciosos comigo, Vocês são 10.

Os quartos são bem apertados, o que já era de se esperar pra um Box! Banheiros ótimos! funcionários excelentes. Café da manhã ok pra os padroes da europa! Ponto super negativo é que os quartos não tem climatização individual, fomos agora no mês de fevereiro e apesar do frio externo, passamos calor dentro do quarto porque não da pra regular a temperatura, é uma climatização central! os quartos não tem janela. Isso dai eles podem e devem melhorar, de resto super bem localizado, equipe maravilhosa e atenciosa!

Perfect location within walking distance to everything. Loved the box room and how quiet the rooms were! Also, super hot water every night. Highly recommend!

The room was clean.. towels were great. Staff was always friendly and helpful. The lounging areas were an added comfort. Excellent location; close to everything! The lockers were so usedul, an added bonus where it made things easy for guests! Excellent concept.

Nice place - and room was comfortable and clean - so not a bad place to stay. First room was given had a very foul smell in it - so was given another. Some staff at front desk were extremely rude, seemed to be prioritizing helping people they knew and not following order people were lined up in.

Last minute trip to Porto. Hotel was really central - 5-10 minutes walk from most places we visited. Staff were excellent. Place was really cool. Loved the beer on check in!

A recepção às vezes que precisei estava sempre vazia e o atendimento era bem demorado, para retirar as chaves foram mais de 30 minutos aguardando um funcionário aparecer. Fora isso, tudo ocorreu bem.

The staff was excellent there. Especially Eirini and Joana from the front desk and Goncalo from the restaurant there. I left my phone on the plane which made things very stressful for me when I first arrived in Porto at the hotel. But Eirini and Joana did so much to try to help me - making calls for me, allowing me to use their phones, coordinating between me and various contacts since I don't know the Portuguese language very well. It really made things much easier for me and I finally got a cheap phone while waiting to see if my other phone would eventually turn up. So, I can't say enough good things about Eirini and Joana who did so much to help. Goncalo was also wonderful, polite, and attentive in the restaurant and he provided excellent service. So, I want to be sure to include him on this.

Fantastic experience! Great place to stay if you're trying to ease into your travels. As someone who flew from Vancouver Canada, I found that it was a the perfect environment for me. Extremely friendly staff, great facilities, the bathroom could have been a little bit more pristine in terms of cleanliness, but that's just me being knit-picky. The only major uh-oh moment was cleaning staff unlocking my door and walking in on me while getting changed (A couple hours before my checkout time, too). Other than that, a near perfect experience. Highly recommend!

The property was a tricky to find and felt like it was in a particularly run-down area of town. The main foyer/lounge area was very dated and musty. The "boxes" where you sleep however were clean, convenient and perfectly fine. The price is great in terms of the downtown location and the welcome beer was very thoughtful. We had a good experience, not a great one.

Convenient loaction, about a 7 minute walk from Bolhao and Aliados Metro stations. It's at the top of the hill, so it's an easy walk down towards the Baiza and Ribeiro areas. There's a Microbrewery and Bolhao market right around the corner. Room was clean and comfortable. Shared spaces were nice. As long as you're the type of traveller who spends their time out and about exploring, this is a great place.

Central location, fair price and friendly receptionist

It's an interesting take on minimalist - and very very economical - way to stay! This was hands down the most economical place I could find at the time of my travel and I'm glad I took advantage of it. The bare wall bathroom and "no window, just a box" theme certainly isn't for everyone but if you are looking for an efficient, and quite honestly sufficient, place only a few minutes walk from Bolhao market/via Catarina shopping area and/or 5min from Sao Bento station, this place is a find. It worked out great for me bc I had two day trips that started from Sao Bento and ended in Praca Batalha area which is also close. Facilitates are really sufficient. Shower was good. I do recommend having flipflops ( because the shower floor is more concrete than tile) which people don't usually need for an ensuite bathroom. Self operating lockers for storage after the check out. Staff very pleasant, they monitor the front desk 24hrs. No communal fridge but they were happy to hold my few cold items in the fridge in the back overnight, which was very much appreciated. I didn't get to utilize the communal areas in the 5th floor but the concept of bring your own movie to hook up to a big screen/stereo is brilliant. I did think that the area right outside of the place was a little run down, not dangerous in any way, just in "some neighboring lots are empty so it looks sketchy at night", kind of way. Again , the theme is not for everyone, but for the location and price I would return to stay.

I wasn’t sure about staying in a box, but the concept is great. The location of the Porto property was great. Easy walk to many restaurants & short walk to the metro & train station.

A very unique and funky property! The rooms are interesting, clean, and surprisingly spacious given their unique construction. Staff were welcoming and very helpful. Location is convenient too, located centrally in Porto meaning everything, including the Ribiera, is walkable.

Great place to stay, friendly staff, everything is very clean, awesome location. Pretty unique experience. Only minor downside was breakfast, it was fresh, but very limited options. Other than that, perfect!

This is such a cool hotel and such a great deal. The food is AMAZING both the morning breakfast and the restaurant for evening. It’s in a perfect location too, can walk everywhere easily.

Overall great staff and concept. Would recommend playing music in the big breakfast room.

Fun, cool place to stay. Great breakfast up on top floor and quirky, modern styling everywhere.

The hotel itself is a beautiful building. Staff are friendly. Simon the bartender makes amazing cocktails. Really good food options at the restaurant downstairs named Big Bad Bank. 9€ for an open buffet breakfast which is great value for money. Great location - it’s within walking distance to the main attractions. Beautiful common spaces - my personal favourite was the reading room. This hotel is not suitable for those who are claustrophobic though as the room is literally a box with no windows / views nor fresh air. Only downsides for me were that the room isn’t very big at all. There are no fridges in your room to keep your drinks cool. No iron for pressing your clothes. The walls aren’t soundproofed, so when someone is up early doing their thing, it unfortunately wakes you up too.

Över lag var det bra. Hade önskat bättre vattentryck, vattenflaskor på rummet och tofflor/morgonrock. Köp inte frukosten! Den är absolut inte värd 9 euro.
