Centered location with expensive parking, that would only work for tiny cars. Very old appliances and furniture. AC and TV didnt work as soon as we checked in. Took them a few hours to come in and fix it. Were given coupons as VIP that only worked until 5pm! Close to everything, but dont go behind the hotel.

O hotel está passando por reforma o que causa algum desconforto, porem eles se desdobraram para compensar este percalço. Nos ofereceram o café da manhã no restaurante Varanda com vista para a cidade e um atendimento diferenciado, todos muito gentis. Recebemos docinhos portugueses com uma garrafa de vinho do porto na chegada e no ultimo dia, 1/2 garrafa de vinho tinto e um prato de queijos. Estas gentilezas apagaram toda a má impressão que tivemos ao chegar e deixam a vontade de retornar em breve

Although the property is large, renovated and near central downtown area, the surrounding area has become run down with vacant buildings, graffiti and homeless in the park across the street. The roof top bar and restaurant are a plus as well as on site parking

The hotel is in a good part of town. Almost everything you want to do is within a reasonable walking distance or close to bus , train or the tram 28 routes. The breakfast that is included is very good and they change some of the menu regularly. Room service is not the best. We had to ask for clean towels several times and they don’t do a great job cleaning overall. It seems to depend on who’s cleaning the rooms. Some days were good. The elevators are a problem. They really only fit 4 people and in the morning it can be slow getting up or down to the breakfast restaurant. The mini bar in the room is a pay bar but you wouldn’t know because there isn’t a price list in the room. Because of where the hotel is located it can get loud at night but overall we had a very good experience at this hotel.

We were excited to stay at the Hotel Mundial after seeing pictures of it online. There are remedial works taking place and we were not impressed with the room. The bathroom was the worst part of the room. It was not clean and there was mold and dust in places. I’m glad we were only staying there for one night and didn’t make a fuss. If we were staying longer we would’ve asked to be moved. The breakfast buffet and the views from the panoramic view restaurant on the 8th floor were excellent.

The staff was not friendly at the front desk except for Thomas. The staff in the dining area on the 8th floor was very rude. The furniture in the room was very old and outdated. The sofa was dirty.

Hotel was wonderful. Great location. Staff is attentive. Rooms clean. Lobby is new with a lovely bar where you can get smaller meals. Our room was older but the location perfect. Hotel is currently updating rooms. Great place to stay.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The location is excellent—very walkable to the main attractions and also convenient for taking transit. The hotel itself was clean, and my room (a triple) was spacious and spotless. The staff provided excellent service, and I was pleasantly surprised on my birthday when they delivered sparkling wine to my room—such a thoughtful gesture! Breakfast is included and was very good, though it didn’t have much variety as it was the same each day. Just a note: you do need to book your breakfast time daily. The breakfast area is on the top floor with amazing views, which really adds to the experience. The rooftop restaurant also offers stunning views, and I’d definitely recommend it. On the downside, the room felt a bit outdated, though it was very clean. The blow dryer didn’t work well, and the shower was a little tricky to use (but water pressure was fine). The bathroom lighting was quite dim—not ideal for getting makeup done. Overall, the stay was very enjoyable. With breakfast included, excellent service, and unbeatable views from the rooftop, I would recommend this hotel to others.

We had a 5 night stay. First time in Lisbon and, in fact, first time in Portugal. A very pleasant experience. The hotel is spotless with extremely friendly and professional staff. The room was excellent with comfortable beds, plenty of wardrobe space and spacious bathroom . The AC didn't work but that wasn't a problem this time of year. Im surprised that the hotel room contained a kettle and cups but no tea/coffee, milk or sugar. Again, not a problem, just an observation. Location is superb being very close to the metro and only a few hundred metres from the train station. Bars and restaurants all around but despite being in the center of everything we weren't bothered at all with any noise. Breakfast was really nice and plentiful. There really isn't anything to dislike and we will return to this hotel next time we visit Lisbon.

Our room was dated and worn. The air conditioner took sometime to really cool the room down. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. The bathroom lighting was dim. Carpet in room needs to be replaced with wood or luxury vinyl. This was not a 4 star hotel.

Great location, decent breakfast. Staff were friendly and we loved our room with a balcony overlooking Martim Moniz sq and the beginning of the Tram 28 line. The room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. My only complaint is the shower/tub combo. It’s a half door enclosure and water gets everywhere. I’d rather just have a curtain and not have to wipe a soaking bathroom floor after every shower.

Staff was friendly when I check in; however, after I checked out, they wanted nothing to do with you. I forgot to request taxi to take us to the airport at a time of checkout. as I remember later, I went back to reception to request, they told me to catch the taxi outside of the hotel. In a meanwhile, they booked taxi for my cousins whom had not checked out yet. It is so ridiculous. I do not think I would want to return to this hotel with this experience.

The professionalism and care of the staff stood out for us. We came back a week after our stay and the staff managed to find a hat we had left behind. A little travel 'miracle'. There was a small issue when we first checked in but the staff worked very hard to make sure this was resolved quickly. We had a great view, and enjoyed the rooftop bar.

The hotel check-in was chaotic and it felt impersonal. Once we arrived into our room, it smelled like cigarettes, it was hot and the windows were very dirty. We loved the open roof deck where we enjoyed a view of the city but the staff was very regimented about seating people and made it feel like we weren't guests at our own hotel.

At check-in, the two people behind the desk were more interested in interacting with each other than taking the time to check me in. I was ignored for several minutes as they chatted with each other. Finally, the young woman behind the desk checked me into the hotel. Upon arrival in my room, I noted that the hotel had left a bottle of wine and a dessert on the desk. That was a lovely touch. The hotel was quite nice. My room was clean and well-maintained. Breakfast in the morning was good. There is a market next door to the hotel which was convenient to purchase snacks for the room or supplies needed for a day of sightseeing. The park across the street is pretty during the day, but very loud in the evening. In fact, overnight there is a fair amount of noisy activity in the area that made it hard to sleep. As a woman traveling solo on this trip, I didn't feel safe walking outside of the hotel in the evening. If interested in public transportation, the hop-on/hop-off bus picks up directly outside of the hotel. This is convenient if you have a limited amount of time in Lisbon to tour. There is also a trolley that stops around the corner.

Sweet staff. Clean place with a good view if your room.faces the front of the hotel. The neighborhood seems a bit rough. there was a lot of yelling and homeless people fighting til like 3-4 in the morning every day. But the back side of the hotel is towards the touristy area and is quieter. overall good location for tourism.

Location is excellent, roof top br is nice a but a bit pretentious. We did eat in the hotel other than breakfast which is the usual continental with a cooked option. Plenty of variety and fresh so recommended. Beds were very comfortable and bedrooms spacious. Overall a good hotel with friendly helpful staff.

We were disappointed with the below average quality of the breakfast food. The comfort level in the breakfast room was terrible as the room was very hot and humid everyday. It only got worse as more people entered. It was very busy and hectic with large coach tour groups dominating the venue. The room was large but with very "tired" furnishing. The structure of the building was somewhat odd with poorly located elevators that were, themselves, very slow and small. The neighbourhood was very questionable, especially at early evening and later. Overall, I would not rate our stay, (nine nights), as a particularly satisfying one. This hotel that had ambition was merely basic!

The only complaint I have is that the hotel does not give its guests preference to go to the roof top bar. We tried 2 times and couldn't get in unless we want to have a long wait so we went to Gastrobar rooftop and had no problem in getting drinks on Saturday night.

This hotel is very conveniently located in Lisbon. Easy walk with no uphill!!! It’s an older hotel but is lovely. The service at the bars was slow but it seemed a little understaffed. The only real negative was our bathroom could use updating but wasn’t too bad.
