Staff were fantastic! Nice size room. We paid extra to have breakfast, it was lovely. Beautiful bar and sitting area off of the main restaurant which was overlooking the street. The food was delicious!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. They spoke great English. Breakfast was good, but did not change day to day. We used the sauna for tree as part of our reservation. The rooms were very nice. Great location. Bar was open late and a great place to relax and unwind.

Started VERY BADLY when we arrived to find human filth on the loo seat. in our bathroom. DISGUSTING. REPELLENT . Hotel staff apologised but didn't seem too concerned. Surprised they took it in their stride ..as i the time!!! Bad start. Less important but meaness about charging for extra coffee andill in room.left another bad taste. To Otherwise hotel was clean and in a good spot.

The staffs are great, they are helpful and friendly, always available. The cleanliness is a bit not as great, as I noticed that they didn't clean floors during daily cleaning up, always forgot to refill amenities, and bath towels are not sparkling clean like some other hotels. The location is good though, and the rooms are quiet, air condition is working great, water pressure is good, I recommend this hotel and will come back. The perks expedia offered as VIP rewards can't be claimed as we are visiting Portugal, most of the time we were out for visiting and we were told by hotel staff that the latest we book the steam has to be no later than 8pm that was quite disappointing and we were unable to make it, hope they can change that. And one last drawback about this hotel is that they never read emails so communication break down between hotel and customers.

Hotel moderno, localização perfeita, equipe gentil e eficiente, estacionamento (pago), bom café-da-manhã. Alguns pontos, porém, merecem atenção: o sistema de vedação da área de banho não impede molhar fora, havia mofo na parte superior da janela (atrás da cortina) e a cama de casal é um pouco menor do que o padrão visto em hoteis dessa categoria.

We only stayed for 2 nights on our way back home. Room was spacious and had a small seating area. Our room faced the main street and we could hear some street noise but not enough to disturb us. Beds were comfortable. The bathroom had a large counter space and modern shower. Breakfast was included and was adequate enough but nothing special. Best part of the hotel was the staff who were friendly and super nice. I have VIP with Expedia and the “Spa” service is free use of the sauna. Location is about 15 min walk to city center

The location is good. 12 euro breakfast was reasonable. I stayed at room #505 which was quite. Here are the problems: 1. The sink was clogged. I notified the front desk the next morning and was informed that they would fix it. When I return to the room later in the day, it was still clogged. 2. The digits on the safe were worn and non-visible. Therefore inoperable. 3. The toilet was not securely fastened, it rattles.

clean, bright and spacious room. However, no complimentary water. No veg and salad for breakfast. Hope more choices of food for breakfast. Other than these, hotel is very nice. Bell boy was very helpful and efficient, approached us to unload the luggage from our car right away.

While the staff were consistently polite and helpful, and the hotel overall is well-maintained, our experience was affected by a few key issues. The bed in our room was extremely uncomfortable — my husband and I kept sinking toward the middle, which left us with aches and poor sleep. Additionally, our room was right next to the cleaners’ storage area, and the walls are incredibly thin. Any attempt to rest during the day was nearly impossible due to loud noise, banging, and conversation from the cleaning staff. Grundsätzlich handelt es sich um ein angenehmes Hotel. Leider gab es jedoch deutliche Mängel an der Rezeption sowie im Frühstücksbereich: Rezeption: Als unser Sohn nachts nach Hause kam, war die Eingangstür verschlossen und das Personal an der Rezeption schlief. Der Zutritt zum Hotel war erst möglich, nachdem mich unser Sohn telefonisch weckte und ich zur Lobby ginger. Dadurch war meine Nachtruhe in dieser Nacht erheblich gestört. Besonders enttäuschend empfand ich, dass weder das Personal in der Lobby noch die Hoteldirektion diesen Vorfall ernsthaft zur Kenntnis nahm und sich dafür entschuldigte. Frühstücksraum: Das Personal wirkte wenig aufmerksam und war mehr mit sich selbst als mit der Betreuung der Gäste beschäftigt

When we arrived, the front desk couldn’t be any more help in terms of offering local attractions and sharing recommendations on what to see/enjoy in Lisbon. El hotel cuenta con buenas instalaciones y está bien ubicado, pero el servicio al cliente no es su prioridad. Tuvimos un cambio de planes y mi esposo tuvo que retirarse antes de tiempo. Les solicite si podían acreditar sus desayunos a una cuenta a utilizar en el restaurante. La respuesta fue que por haber reservado a traves de Expedia, no podían hacerlo. Que sería diferente si la reservación la hubiera hecho directamente con ellos. No me pareció profesional su respuesta, ni tampoco orientada al servicio de sus clientes. Los hoteles logran mejorar su nivel de ocupación a traves de empresas intermediarias, como lo es Expedia, por lo que deberían valorar a los clientes que consiguen a través de estas plataformas. Hubieran podido manerjar la situación ofreciéndonos ina bebida o postre de cortesía,

Cama confortável, boa localização, café da manhã mediano, e atendimento da recepção abaixo da média. Chegamos no hotel por volta das 10:00 e como não estava na hora do check-in ainda não tinha quarto disponível, o que é compreensível. Deixamos então as malas e fomos passear. Voltamos ao hotel já cansados e exaustos e mesmo após a hora do check-in (14:00) tivemos que esperar ainda mais até que um quarto ficasse pronto. Não teve nenhum pedido de desculpas por parte da equipe e não nos foi oferecido nada pra compensar a espera, nem mesmo um copo de água. Não sei se ficaria hospedado novamente.

What a great hotel! The rooms were very comfortable with a nice bed, spotless washroom, nice towels and a great shower. My biggest complement goes to the angels at the front desk. On my way to a museum with an Uber ride my phone dropped onto the floor of the car without me knowing. The next 4 hours were horrible as I tried to reach anyone at Uber. The front desk staff did SO much to help me which gave me the confidence I needed to get the phone back. Long story short it all ended well but I could not have done it without the kindness of the reception desk. Unfortunately I do not remember the names of the personnel at the front desk but they were incredible. Another positive was the breakfast. It was more than ample and we were able to order omlettes which as a nice touch. My only negative was that they closed our breakfast room an hour and a half before their advertised closing and we were ushered out of the breakfast room. That is a small issue considering how wonderful the hotel staff were. Thank you Marques de Pombal Hotel!

My wife and I just returned from Lisbon (Portugal area for 2 weeks) and spent two nights at this hotel. We had previously stayed in Lisbon in the historical City Centre and this time stayed a little further out as parking was required for our rental car. The room was fine, clean, spacious for two of us, and overlooked the main street. The bathroom and facilities were nice. Staff were pleasant and easy to deal with. I emailed them prior to arriving looking for recommendations and they provided several. I appreciate that hotels assist with this, and don't just recommend their own restaurant. The location was in the shopping district with a nice park down the center. It was about 15-20 minute walk to the waterfront (downhill) so the return walk is uphill and keep in mind if an issue for you. Staff parked our vehicle for us underground and it was safely stored for us. Breakfast is included in the lower level and had plenty of options, lots of seating, and was well run. Overall we would recommend this place understanding that you know the location is a little further out from the historical center. That being said we found some great restaurants near by!

The hotel is about a 15min walk to old town 25 min walk to beginning of Alfama. Its on Lisbon’s fancy boulevard with high end stores. The hotel is quiet and offers all the amenities needed for a comfortable quilet stay.

Was here for three days last week and returned for one night before leaving Portugal. Staff are ok. Room and bathroom excellent and comfortable. But the ‘hot’ food at breakfast was - on both visits - tepid at most. The other food was excellent. But HOT food should be HOT.
