Was für ein wundervolles Hotel. Das historische Gebäude aus dem 19. Jahrhundert hat eine perfekte Lage direkt am Bahnhof und einer U-Bahnstation. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist unglaublich vielfältig und von herausragender Qualität. Die Bar lädt abends bei Klaviermusik zu einem Drink ein. Das gesamte Personal ist unglaublich nett und zuvorkommend. Wir haben uns in den zehn Tagen im Hotel immer sehr wohl gefühlt. Man kann auch zu Fuß viele Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt sehr gut erreichen. Auch zur Altstadt ist es nicht weit. Wir bedanken uns nochmals für den sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt und das für uns überraschende Upgrade. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder😊

This was such a wonderful hotel! Centrally located, safe area, easy to reach other parts of the city. The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the piano entertainment at night, and the gym was well appointed. Our was large, beautiful, clean, with robes, slippers, umbrella, and chocolates. We would definitely stay here again.

Inchecken verloopt vlot en soepel, bagage wordt je uithanden genomen en naar je kamer gebracht. Prima geoutilleerde kamer, perfect onderhouden, stijlvol ingericht, goede bedden, turndown-service; door de dubbele ramen superstil. Goed werkende airco; keurige badkamer, met volop handdoeken en kwalitatief goede zeep, shampoo, enz. Sfeervolle, klassieke zalen, bar, trappenhuis, enz. Zeer uitgebreid en kwalitatief goed ontbijtbuffet - tot zelfs na sluitingstijd is alles volop aanwezig (alsof je de eerste gast bent) - behulpzaam en vriendelijk personeel. Stijlvol geheel. Parkeren op eigen terrein met valet parking. Echt een aanrader en wij hopen hier zeker terug te komen!

Oh my gosh! Service was phenomenal. I cannot say enough about the service. The hotel itself was comfortable and stylish. Although our room had an odd odor but I think that was related to the age of the building. This hotel is very centrally located, we were able to walk everywhere. Overall, a wonderful place to stay.

Who wrote these 5 Star reviews? This is up there with the worst hotels I've ever stayed at. In fact, I'd put the rooms on par with a motel 8. Checked in to hair all over the bathroom floor, chips taken out in multiple areas of the bathtub and luke warm water with terrible water pressure on the shower (after I fiddled with the many knobs and finally got the water to even come out of the shower head) . The closet barely slides open, the shelves are literally plywood. I requested a steamer and was brought something that looked like it was from the 1800s. The sconces in the hallway of our floor were off at 8:30 pm which I found strange. The bed truly feels like a box spring without a mattress. The turndown service is complete with a dinner napkin on the floor next to your bed. I came here for the last two days of my honeymoon and it really was a huge let down after staying at a true historic hotel 5 star hotel- Reids Palace in Madeira. If your looking for luxury this ain't it. If I were here more than two quick nights I would've forfeited my money for a better experience elsewhere. 12/10 would not recommend and am sorry I made the mistake of staying here. Ended up leaving at 10 pm the night we checked in and going elsewhere.

The whole historic establishment was clean, well restored, and well maintained. Unlike some ultra-modern hotels, there was ample storage space in both the room and bathroom. The room floor was carpeted. Staffing was ample, friendly and courteous, knowledgeable, and largely proficient in English.

The hotel has old world charm but not stuffy. It's located in a busy part of the city right next to a train station, but inside is very quiet and serene; no noise penetrated into our room. Lots of flowers, both fresh and artificial, adorn the lobby and hallways. The breakfast was amazing--great selection of hot foods, cold meats, breads, fruits, fruit juices, etc, and breakfast staff was gracious and attentive. The only negative comment I have is that the pictures in the hallway on our floor were faded and they need to be replaced. Other than that, I will stay here again if ever I am in Lisbon.

Hotel could use an electrical and plumbing update -- not well equipped for 21st Century travelers and multiple electronic outlet needs and bathroom (particularly the shower) could use an update. Perfect location for visit to downtown Lisbon.

Well located. Staff very polite. Had an issue with the bathroom door that was a little annoying. The door handle would not work without locking the occupant in the bathroom so the door handle was removed and the resulting holes were taped over. The door would then not subsequently close probably ... not a big issue but perhaps not what you wourld expect in a five star hotel.

Enjoyed our 3 day stay at this elegant hotel. We had a junior suite which I felt was on the small side. Even the bathroom had only a single sink and no tub (which my wife would have liked). Cupboard and drawers were somewhat limited. The bed was comfortable and bed linens were very nice. Breakfast buffet was nice and pretty much typical of hotel fare. All in all we were very pleased with our choice of hotel. Location was very convenient for shopping and walk about touring. Would definitely stay here again.

Historic hotel in an excellent location for exploring other nearby neighborhoods. Stunning lobby and elegant quest sitting areas. Breakfast buffet in plush surroundings was included in stay and featured a large selection of choices. Staff was beyond friendly and attentive. Our flight got in very early in the morning and they even offered us a complementary breakfast while we were waiting for our room to be ready. Would highly recommend.

Outstanding, and quite simply one of my best hotel stays ever. Hotel has a luxury feel to it and is in the perfect location with easy access to public transport. Staff are professional and friendly and housekeeping is spotless. The buffet breakfast was immaculate with attentive and professional staff, and a huge variety to choose from. We barely needed lunch during our stay. This is definitely where I would stay if visiting Lisbon again.

We were delighted with our stay at this wonderful hotel! The location is perfect, the furnishings are comfortable, but most of all, the staff is attentive and welcoming. This excellence in service was apparent at every level- check in, concierge, restaurant and bar area. Management has chosen and trained their staff to an extremely high level. In addition, guests receive a variety of kind amenities, such as treats in the guestroom. We particularly enjoyed the piano music in the grand room adjacent to the bar area of this historic hotel. The pianist, Vasco Pimental, had a wonderful repertoire and an accomplished touch. It was an oasis of calm in a busy city. Very convenient to the train station that serves Sintra. We did extensive research of prospective hotels for our stay and the reviews for Hotel Avenida Palace were consistently near perfect across different travel sites. We and our friends clearly saw why and fully agree with the many exceptional prior reviews.

Great location - next to metro and walkable distance to many important sites. Very close to multiple eateries and excellent gelato (Amorino) . It is in major shopping district and right next to the train station. On a major street, but street noise was not a factor in our room even though it faced the street. This hotel was a real treat for our first visit to Lisbon. The staff was wonderful, the service was outstanding, and the location was perfect. The breakfast was top-notch for any breakfast you would get at a nice hotel, but it was especially good for a buffet. The staff in the cocktail lounge downstairs was attentive, friendly, and they made great drinks. We would definitely stay at the Hotel Avenida Palace again.
