A really lovely hotel. Loved the library with the river view. Tea and coffee always available to relax after a day exploring. Quieter neighborhood than directly downtown Lisbon but still walking distance to the center of town. Close to restaurants and cafes.

AAA ! This hotel is beyond all of our expectations! Beautiful rooms with more then friendly and professional 24/7 staff made our trip unforgettable! River view terrace on a 4th floor is must to be after a long day of walking in Lisbon.Self Service bar is convenient and has a huge selection of alcohol and non alcohol drinks.Complimentary cofee, tea ,refresheners and some sweats are all day long available ,too.Great stay!

Stayed one night at As Janelas Verdes Inn to take in Lisbon. This is a lovely boutique hotel in the city walking distance to most major attractions in the old town. They offered parking at a reasonable cost so our car was secure and on-site (must book in advance). They have free tea, coffee, pastries, etc. and leave a decanter of port in the room. Large comfortable bed, roomy bathroom, nice products and great service all around. Definitely recommend this hotel for a short stay!

Such a lovely hotel that wrapped its arms around with warmth and hospitality. Gracious rooms with special touches such as port in the room, architectural details and an honor bar in the wood paneled library overlooking the water. Lovely !!!

This is an experience you do not want to miss. This old house turned into a hotel has everything you dreamed of when traveling to Europe and wanting to find the romantic, not in a couples way, but in a nostalgic fantasy scenery for your trip. The rooms are very comfortable, spacious, and beautifully decorated, as is the rest of the house. It does have an elevator, but you can not miss the staircase. The terrace and reading room on the third floor is a dream, and they leave pastries, coffee, tea, and water on tables near the lobby, as well as nice details like a bowl of peanuts and a crystal bottle of port for you to try. The service is very friendly and helpful—definitely the best part of the trip and a total 10 out of 10.

Considering the cost (pricey for Portugal overall and even for Lisbon in particular), I admit serious trepidation as I drove through the neighborhood approaching the hotel, and it certainly was not immediately impressive from the outside, but entering it was like stepping into another world, a more gracious time. The staff is helpful without being intrusive, the rooms are small but immaculate and well-appointed and the views are fantastic. Breakfast is served in the garden daily (you need to check your reservation carefully to see whether it’s “available” or “included” as it varies), and tables with complimentary coffee, tea, chocolate, pastries and other nibbles are available on each floor 24/7. A couple of warnings: parking is “available” for an additional charge, but no valet, and it’s really more storage than parking in the sense that you park the car and then leave it until check out—it’s more practical to Uber or cab it during your stay. Excellent hotel, lovely area. Library and ground floor area were so nice to sit and chill. Honesty bar was a lovely touch and the breakfast buffet and snacks were very welcome. Nice big room.

Beautiful, unique, quiet place with a great view of the harbour from the library. Friendly staff, close to public transportation and within walking distance of restaurants and museum. The only negative is that on my last night there the housekeeping staff forgot to leave me towels after clearing out the dirty one, a quick call to the front desk fixed it. I only mention this because it is in sharp contrast to the level of service I received during my 6 night stay and because this was mentioned in another review of the same hotel.

This was a very nice place to stay. It was clean and comfortable and utilised the Boutique atmosphere. There was a very cosy feel to it and the satff service was impeccable! Breakfst was great and the area was close to amenities and walkable to other areas. Bus service, if necessary, was just out front. Highly recoomended place to stay in Lisbon.

Why „only“ 4 stars for the one thing? Because this is a heritage hotel, meaning not everything is being painted, repaired or renewed, as long as the function is given. And it is! It is a most lovely and beautiful accommodation, the breakfast menu is great (and you can enjoy it till noon), you can have free water, coffee and small snacks almost all day, our room is big enough, everything is clean, being filled up (and of course doing the beds and give you new towels, even if you don‘t need it), a most charming terrace with view on the 3rd floor and a just as charming inner courtyard in the back. Another thing; we had to change our booking afterwards (due to the unscheduled election one week ago), and expedia wanted quite a lot for changing it. I then contacted the hotel directly, and they changed it without charging anything. We are so grateful for that! Strongly recommended!!

Great place to stay. Easy to walk to restaurants and nightlife but just far enough away that it is quiet. Beautiful well run hotel. Nice size rooms. Large bathrooms with amazing water, pressure and lots of hot water. Nice outdoor spaces to enjoy the beautiful weather and the view. Good breakfast with lots of choices.

This is a beautiful property. The thing that ruined my stay was that I was in room 1 and the kitchen is right by my room. I'm not sure why there are so many loud sounds coming from the kitchen all night long but there are. I'm talking pans falling on the floor at 1 a.m., dishes clinking at 2:30 a.m., the dishwasher being loaded at 11:30 p.m. I'm sure if you stay on an upper floor this isn't a problem but I wouldn't stay on the first floor. It really is gorgeous but to be able to sleep is number one for travel. I finally remembered to go buy earplugs and then I also turned my rain app up to as high as it would go and finally slept some the last night there. The staff is really kind and I probably should have told them about this on day one. I have trouble believing they don't know how noisy it is for the first floor rooms though.

Excellent hotel, lovely area. Library and ground floor area were so nice to sit and chill. Honesty bar was a lovely touch and the breakfast buffet and snacks were very welcome. Nice big room.

Oh my god, what an amazing hotel! We are frequent visitors to Lisbon and I think we have finally found the hotel we will be returning to. It has such a beautiful, classical feel, but also very modern amenities such as a wealth of charging ports and a nice bar. The breakfast was also lovely, and the bathroom was luxurious. Stayed one night at As Janelas Verdes Inn to take in Lisbon. This is a lovely boutique hotel in the city walking distance to most major attractions in the old town. They offered parking at a reasonable cost so our car was secure and on-site (must book in advance). They have free tea, coffee, pastries, etc. and leave a decanter of port in the room. Large comfortable bed, roomy bathroom, nice products and great service all around. Definitely recommend this hotel for a short stay!

We truly enjoyed our short stay at As Janelas Verdes Inn. We had an early flight, and the staff was kind enough to get some fruit, yogurt and cereal ready for us in advance of the normal breakfast time. The garden is lovely. We would stay there again.

Everyone was fantastic, this is a well run hotel with attention to detail. The people at the hotel are fantastic. The hotel is in a great place. Breakfasts were great and the upstairs library is a fantastic place to relax with coffee or wine.

There is much to say about this place; its charming and nostalgic style makes the whole experience different and remarkable. We specially appreciated that through little things you felt at home; wether it was the hot tea and pastries available at the lounge when you got back, or the invitation Port Wine at your room receiving you after the day was over. We had a small dental accident and the staff was super helpful and helped us arrange an appointment with a local dentist. The room and bathroom were on point, even had several gadgets and adaptors for plugin in the phone or any other device. The location is convenient, not exactly walkable, but just a 5 mins cab from the good stuff! Would totally recommend it!

This is a lovely hotel and I can't wait to go back. Staff are fantastic. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet and all the space that we needed. Breakfast was delicious. The rooftop terrace was a fantastic spot to finish the day. The breakfast terrace was beautiful, but it was a little too chilly to enjoy in February. The location is a bit of a hike to the main action of Lisbon, but we liked that and walked everywhere. Busses are convenient if that is the option you prefer. I am looking forward to staying here again.

This was a very nice place to stay. It was clean and comfortable and utilised the Boutique atmosphere. There was a very cosy feel to it and the satff service was impeccable! Breakfst was great and the area was close to amenities and walkable to other areas. Bus service, if necessary, was just out front. Highly recoomended place to stay in Lisbon.

This hotel is very quaint and cozy. The breakfast buffet is very good, to include make-your-own mimosas, which is fantastic. The decor is so homely, it almost feels like you're staying at a relative's house rather than a hotel. I was enthralled by all the hotel's amenities and the excellent and friendly staff.

The hotel is a lovely historic building and the staff are fabulous. They need to rethink their dining arrangements to make it work better. This is more than compensated for by the quality of their offering. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

I loved the atmosphere. It was comfortable, very pretty and clean. It was a very nice breakfast and the staff gaves us alot of help. There was free wine as well and reimbursementof the botanical gardens ticket if you decide to go. Easy to get around and not super crowded though. Quiet and easy for sleeping.
