Very nice property in great location . Close to subway. Has nice lobby bar self serve rooftop bar which is different . All staff were amazing helpful with recommendations. We had a nice 2 BR family room that was super. Would stay here again.

The hotel is very nice rooms are small We were offered to moving to a little larger suite with a better view for an additional fee which we declined. Staff were nice except for the gentleman who checked us out. The hotel had an ideal location not much of a pool deck area, but the outdoor bar area was nice to sit outside.

Perfect location if you want to avoid the noise of the old town. 2 mins walk to Pombal metro station which is on 2 lines and 2 stops from the action. The pool may be small but it is open in winter (which many hotel pools aren’t) and is great for a dip after a busy day sightseeing.

Nice property--basic room. I stayed on the top floor and the gym room was noisy in the morning with people talking on their cell phone with the gym door open everyday. Apparently the door cannot be closed as there is a steam room in there and it will set off the fire alarm. There is no signage that states that so it should be added. I would also suggest they add signage to state no cell phone use with the speaker on while using the gym. If you stay on the top floor this should be noted and also to call the lobby to notify them of noisy guests.

Ils m'ont installé dans un chambre standard avec une fenêtre face à un mur de 10 m de haut plein nord. À 9h30 du matin j'avais l'impression d'être en pleine nuit. Finalement cela ressemblait plus à une cave (chambre 27). J'ai demandé à changer en arrivant mais ils m'ont dit que j'avais réservé une chambre standard en fait une cave. Je suis affligé par ce manque de professionnalisme. Cela faisait peut être 10 fois que je séjournais dans cet hotel mais cela sera la dernière fois.

Ein ruhiges Zimmer 4. Etage. Blick in einen Innenhof. Nicht schön, aber ruhig. Aufzug nur mit Hotelkarte nutzbar. Gut für die Sicherheit. Klasse Rezeption. Dank an Katia Sanchez. Bar im Dachgeschoss eher klein, Sicht geht so, aber den Service oben nicht weiter genutzt. Nähe zur Metro und auch Bussen war super!!!! Frühstück war gut. Ab dem 3. Tag fehlt die Abwechslung. Waren zufrieden. Tolle Aufmersamkeit zum runden Geburtstag meiner Frau (Sekt auf dem Zimmer).

Hotel was clean and updated. Some of the staff members were extremely kind but had bad experience with one staff member who was not accommodating or polite. My reservation said we had a coffee maker in our room and she repeatedly told us that our room reservation did not. She told me that I would have to prove it to her which I did. She still argued with me that they would try to get me a coffee maker but would have to pay over $3 for each coffee pod ! Went the 1st day to the dining room to get 1 coffee and was actually charged like $4 for that coffee. I was shocked !

We checked in at 7:00 PM on the 20th. The front desk staff who assisted us initially, was exceptionally helpful with room arrangements. However, we later realized we had booked one fewer room than needed. As the hotel was fully booked, one of our group had to stay at a neighboring hotel for the second night.He told us that as he had collected all the tax, if one of us did not stay in the other for the other days, the hotel could refund the tax to us when we checked out. All the others checked out on the 24th at 7:00 AM. Before departure, unfortunately, a different staff member handled our early checkout. Despite the hotel already having our credit card details on file, this employee insisted on manually copying all card information (including security codes) to process the refund, which felt *extremely unsafe*. I think after reading this message, the hotel should contact me again and refund the tax to me.

Boa localização, pequena distância da Marquês de Pombal e do metro. Atendimento gentil na recepção e no muito bom café da manhã. Apartamento de tamanho razoável e negativa de antecipar em 90 minutos o acesso ao mesmo. Se você quiser guardar uma mala por uns dias eles aceitam, desde que no retorno a Lisboa seja hóspede novamente do hotel.

Whilst the property is outside central Lisbon, it is virtually next door to the Metro and a very short ride to the centre. Otherwise you can stroll down the wide avenue to central Lisbon with all the haute couture shops. Hotel very clean and well maintained. Staff welcoming. Great breakfasts. It is clear PortoBay hotels run a happy ship! I will have no hesitation in booking with PortoBay hotels again.

Great boutique hotel, clean rooms, comfortable beds and the ability to control the air conditioning. The staff is friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. The breakfast has a good selection of healthy options and baked goods. There’s a convenience store next door to get snacks and drinks. Walking around the neighborhood are good places to eat and some shopping too. If you want to get in a tour bus, there’s a very close stop near the Marquez de Pombal roundabout. Definitely recommend this hotel for your trip to Lisbon.

Great hotel, very-well appointed, though small rooms. Despite the smaller size of the rooms, the stay was overall comfortable. The mini spa and pool area at the roof were excellent. Only issue was that I tried the restaurant twice for breakfast and twice for dinner and didn't enjoy the overall experience. Either the food was bland, or the service was lacking. The prices were higher than those in the surrounding nicer restaurants and the food was at a lesser level.

The PortoBay Marques Hotel is a very nice hotel in Lisbon. I highly recommend staying here. The staff is excellent, even providing avvery early check-in as one of our rooms was not being occupied the previous evening. The rooms are large - both the room with the Queen bed as well as the Junior Suite. The room was impeccable - very clean as well the bathroom. The breakfast at the hotel was wonderful. We also had dinner at the hotel one evening when we were exhausted after sightseeing all day long and the food was very good. The hotel is located in a very safe and quiet area of Lisbon, near very high end stores. There are two markets about 4 blocks or so from the hotel, which one can purchase water and other items as needed. (By the way, the hotel provides a large bottle of purified/spring water daily to each room.) From the hotel, it is approximately a 20 minute walk to downtown Lisbon, but if you prefer not to walk, taxis and Ubers are readily available and they are very inexpensive (compared to US and UK prices). Walking to Avenida de Libertad is very safe - as one is actually walking through a park-like area. The Rossio Train station is only a 15 minute walk from the hotel or a 5 minute taxi/uber ride. One can use this train station to go to Sintra, much better than driving and parking there. Overall, I rate this hotel a 10/10 - and I am a very experience world traveler for over 40 years on non-stop traveling.

The staff are exceptionally helpful and enthusiastically share information about transportation, places of interest etc. Room was comfortable and everything is spotlessly clean. Closet space is limited for two people in the room we selected but we managed It is about a mile walk to the main old town sights down a straight, pleasant avenue Breakfast was a OK and perhaps a tad overpriced. I emphasize- the staff are delightful We arrived very early in the morning and they allowed us to check in on arrival. We were very grateful
