We really enjoyed the location and the staff were friendly throughout our stay. Breakfast was good, and the rooftop bar was a perfect place to end the day with its fantastic view. The area around the hotel is fine and relatively quiet. The hotel itself is quite worn, including the rooms, so just don’t expect anything too modern. One thing to be aware of: if you prefer staying on higher floors, avoid booking a comfort suite or a family room, as they’re all located on the lowest floors above reception. We didn’t realise this when booking, and we usually prefer staying higher up. Overall, we still had a pleasant stay thanks to the staff, the atmosphere and that amazing rooftop bar.

L'hôtel est une tour de béton de 17 étages avec terrasse ouverte. (Il avait fait polémique à l'époque de sa construction). Mais au-delà de l'architecture, son emplacement est absolument parfait pour se déplacer à pieds ou par les transports bus aux pieds de l'hôtel, et métro à 5mn. J'avais choisi une chambre confort pour 1 personne, qui était située au 7ème étage. Propre, spacieuse et lumineuse, avec une petite terrasse perso. Une bouteille d'eau 50cl offerte. Très calme. Une bouteille de champagne local et des petits biscuits déposés dans la chambre le 1er soir. Un ticket gratuit est donné pour déguster un verre de Porto au bar du 17e étage. (Dommage - pour certains emplacements de chambres - que les fenêtres donnent sur un bâtiment parking circulaire, une "verrue" bétonnée de 5 étages, mais heureusement ne créé aucune nuisance). Accueil aimable mais un peu froid, tant au desk qu'au restaurant petit déjeuners. Le français n'est pas particulièrement pratiqué, il est utile de parler anglais. L'offre du petit-déjeuner est très variée : à noter le jus d'oranges frais et les gâteaux différents chaque matin. Par contre les champignons et mini-saucisses en boite moins intéressants.... Malgré cet avis détaillé, même avec quelques bémols, je suis très satisfaite de mon séjour dans cet hôtel.

Litt utdatert hotell. Praktisk med parkeringshus rett over gata (mot betaling). Rom var stor i størrelse og ellers ok, men sengen var veldig hard. Frokost var en liten nedtur. Veldig kjedelig mat, men positivt med friske frukt. Beliggenheten var veldig sentralt. Middag på hotellrestaurant er ikke verdt pengene.

Well situated and close to main attractions. The exterior of the is a bit surprising but don’t judge the interior by it’s cover.Spacious room with balcony. Rooftop is amazing. Concierge service excellent. Only comment for improvement: reception desk should not suggest conversation if you pay with foreign credit card. Pay in euro and refuse conversation. If nor 5% is added .

This hotel was perfect! It was very clean, classy, and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was superb. The rooftop bar had breathtaking views. We stayed in a family room, and it had a balcony looking over the beautiful city of Porto. I would highly recommend staying here.

Wir hatten ein doch ziemlich kleines Zimmer, sehr dunkel mit Blick auf einen öden Innenhof, den Minibalkon kann man sich schenken. Allerdings gut funktionierende Dusche. Personal beim Frühstück etwas überfordert, Speisen gebot durchschnittlich, Kaffee aus Automat nicht besonders. Umgebung etwas trist, dafür ruhig.

I had a great time at the Dom Henrique. I got an upgrade upon checking in, which was nice, and I was also pleasantly surprised to be tended to by a lady at the front desk who spoke perfect French. The hotel is conveniently located, a short walk to a central metro station and to old town (and about 20 minutes to the river). Unlike the rest of the neighborhood, the hotel is a tower that has 17 stories and a rooftop with a great view but obviously, not everyone will like its "brutalist" style. The only small complaint I\'d have is that I stayed on the fourth floor and could hear traffic noise (which was not too heavy fortunately). I wish the windows would have been thicker. Overall, a great stay!

The hotel bar and main restaurant are located on the top, 17th, floor with views of the city. My room was a single and had a reasonable amount of space along with modern bathroom. Breakfast was available on the ground floor restaurant area and had a wide choice of food to cater for different tastes, including some hot food such as scrambled eggs, ham, bacon, as well as fruit, cereals and pastries. Would consider using this hotel again given high standards and helpful staff

On the whole it was a nice stay however some of the staff were aloof and unfriendly towards my friend and I. The service in the lounge could have been a bit bettrr but it appeared to be understaffed for the # of patrons at the time. A part of my friends order ended up on another patron's table for about 10 minutes and THEN given to our table~it should have been reordered and that one left with the other patrons. Food safe!! But, I would go back and stay for the location...room comfort.

I arrived sick and the bed was so comfortable, and was grateful for the assistance with my luggage and the smooth check in process. My husband ordered food from the bar to bring to me and it was excellent, the soup was delicious and hit the spot. The next day we were walking distance to several sites. We made dinner reservations at the roof top restaurant and definitely 5 star, service and quality was amazing as well as the views. We declined a room cleaning and they made sure to call if we needed additional towels and coffee. Much appreciated.

Splendid hotel just sensibly away from the busy area of Porto. Speedy check in and out. Pleasant comfortable rooms with good shower. Rooftop bar is great for early evening drinks. Panoramic. Lunch was good value. 5 minute walk to the Mercado de Bolhau which is a must. Never seen anything like it before. So pristine and clean. The riverfront is a 20 minute walk downhill but coming back up is not trial. Plenty of bars/restaurants/shops to break your journey. Bem localizado no centro do Porto, a uma quadra do Bolhão e também uma quadra do metro. o quarto amplo, cama macia, banheiro novinho e televisão gigante. café da manhã ótimo e atendimento prestativo e simpático de todos os funcionários. o restaurante é o único senão deste hotel, o jantar de natal foi uma decepção, a comida sem gosto, foi servido batatas cozidas na água sem tempero e cenoura enrolada na alface cozida no vapor sem tempero nenhum. Na sobremesa outro fracasso, por estarmos em Portugal esperávamos que tivesse doce de ovos de algum modo mas não, foi servido rabanada( a da minha avó é melhor) e abacaxi fruta. Não recomendo o restaurante.

Hotel muy limpio y tranquilo cerca de la zona de Bolhao, Aliados y calle Santa Catarina. La zona de la Ribeira, las bodegas y Ponte Luis queda a unos 15 min andando pero pasear por las calles de la ciudad hace que el recorrido sea muy agradable. Durante la estancia no hizo faltar coger el coche para nada moviéndome por la ciudad andando. El hotel tiene una terraza panorámica que permite ver toda la ciudad. El parking SILO situado justo al lado del hotel (independiente) ofrece la posibilidad de dejar el coche para 24, 48 o 72 horas. Es la mejor opción ya que aparcar por horas es carísimo. Este parking tiene muy mala valoración por parte de los usuarios debido a la mala información de las tarifas. Hay que entrar en el parking, sacar el tiquet, aparcar el coche y acto seguido, pasar por la taquilla que se sitúa en la plata baja para canjear el tiquet por una tarifa plana de 24, 48 o 72 horas. A título informativo, las 72 horas cuestan 31'50€ pero merece la pena.

Location was awesome. Can walk to many restaurants and touring locations. Hotel was clean but seemed quite old. Hallways dark brown walls and dark carpeting which was creepy. Air freshener pumped into lobby area was overwhelming. Breakfast buffer was very good. Went to bar area at sunset. Outside bar area very small and no seats available. Asked bartender if could go up to roof area and was told can only go there if eating. So stayed where we were by the bar for 15 to 20 minutes and no one came to our table to take our drink order so we left. Overall experience was just so so...
