The restaurant only offered a buffet for supper

This was our first stay at HF Fenix Porto and the experience was exceptional. At arrival we were treated like valued guests. The check in process was quick and simple, and the reception staff were amazing. We were assigned a corner room on the 10th floor and the room was very modern and spacious - even including a small table and chairs for dining. The bathroom was extremely modern, spacious and well equipped. The buffet breakfast was wonderful and offered a full range of hot and cold foods - and the service is exceptional. During our stay there was no evening restaurant but we did enjoy a dinner in their sister hotel that is next door (HF Tuela) The hotel is located in the business district of Porto which we found ideal - there is a shopping mall next door, offering all sorts of stores plus a supermarket. And there is a wonderful food hall spanning the next block where many vendors offer all different types of cooked foods - from snacks and ice cream to full meals, plus of course the Portuguese wine. This is incredibly convenient and even better because it is used by many of the locals Taxis are readily available at the taxi rank outside, and we found it very convenient to take a taxi each morning to our place of choice for the day - depending on the destination, we paid between 4 and 10 Euros for a taxi. And many locations are very walkable. This is a hotel we would choose again for a visit to Porto. We had a great five day stay. Thank you

Parking is very tight if you have a bigger or average size vehicle

Spacious rooms with a refrigerator, table to eat at, desk, reading chair, safe, and modern decor. There weren't enough hangers in the closet, but they brought us more upon request. The bar staff was nice and the outdoor patio at the bar was protected from the wind. Parking was only €12/day, but very, very narrow. We were glad we had a small rental car, otherwise it would have been difficult to park. We enjoyed the Mercado Bom Sucesso, which was just around the corner from the hotel. The metro / bus stops are a few blocks away, but easy to reach.

Excelente localização, perto do metro casa da musica, ao lado do Cidade do Porto Shopping (que tem uma loja enorme da Decathlon e um supermercado), quase ao lado do Mercado do Bom Sucesso (que tem ótimas opções de almoço e janta). O hotel conta com um bar animado, tem estacionamento por 12 euros a diária, o quarto é amplo e limpo, e o café da manhã é muito bom. Certamente ficaremos aqui novamente quando voltarmos.

Was really nice. Clean and great breakfast. Very nice to be able to park under the hotel but the parking space is very very small.

Parking was as bad as everywhere underground: extremely tight! At 15€/night that should be a little better. It was nice to have a large bottle of water daily, being a VIP from Expedia. The breakfast was OK. Small, but enough. The staff was mostly good, just very slow at everything they do. The room and beds were good and comfortable. The area is a bit sketchy due to a large migrant population being constantly on the street doing nothing. However, it is within walking distance to the shore, shopping, etc. Overall, nice and would stay there again.

Clean and spacious room, friendly staff and great breakfast. Excellent option to stay in the city. Is not close to the centre, but you can move easily by foot or using public transportation

Budget room so view into a void without sky. Clean and spacious, quality shower. Staff friendly and helpful.

Clean, comfortable bed, breakfast buffet was very fresh and was attended too throughout the breakfast hours. Lobby smelled nice. Shower had good pressure. I also loved the windows opened out a few inches for fresh air. Good location to food and shopping

The rooms and hotel all round was extremely clean. The room felt like a brand new renovation. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good with a variety of options. There was a great selection of eateries within walking distance of the hotel. Would absolutely give the hotel 10/10.

O quarto é novo , moderno mas a casa de banho tinha cabelo na sanita, no chão do box , limpeza pessima

Not sure I experienced anything unique. The room could have been cleaner, there was some dust. Our stay was good but nothing above and beyond other than the staff during breakfast. The hostess was very friendly and kind to our 3 kids

Very nice stay however our bathroom sink smelled bad and air conditioning did not work properly

Saknar vanlig dörr med lås till badrummet. Nu är det bara en skjutdörr i glas, delvis transparent.

Hotellet er super flot og lækkert. Indtjekning gik nemt, selvom vi først ankom kl 23. Værelset var kæmpe stort og flot. Stor seng (lidt til den hårde side). Der er ikke rigtig privatliv til toilettet. Døren er af glas og går ikke helt til loftet. Så det skal forholdet lige kunne tåle 😅 Vi forsøgte at bestille roomservice med morgenmad. Vi havde bestilt til levering kl 9-9.30. Kl 9.32 ringer de med nogle spørgsmål og kommer med en pris på 50€ for morgenmad (det fremgik ikke af bestillingsseddel). Vi springer over og får fin morgenmad i nærheden i stedet for. Der er bar på hotellet med en hyggelig lille gårdhave. Der er ca. 2,5-3 km ned den det historiske centrum (ned ad stejle bakker 😅 og sjovt nok op den anden vej).

Globalement l’hôtel est très bien. Très accueillant et très propre. La chambre est grande, il y a peu à redire. Le problème principal est une très mauvaise insonorisation. On entend facilement les chambres voisines et la rue malgré le fait qu’on etait au 6e étage. On a même eu à se plaindre une fois.

10 Minuten zur Metro-Station Casa da Musica, Markthalle Bom Sucesso 5 Minuten entfernt, modernes Hotel, ideal für einen Städtetrip, große Zimmer, großes Bad mit bodentiefer Dusche, gutes Bett mit 2 Kissen, Frühstücksbuffet mit großer Auswahl, sehr aufmerksamer Service, hilfsbereite Rezeption, einzig negativ ist der erhebliche Verkehrslärm, dagegen hilft nur Ohropax

Large room, well airconditioned, very comfortable beds. The three twin ben layout was excellent. Very close to grocery store, coffee, shopping.

Mooie en ruime kamers. We kregen een kamer op de bovenste verdieping maar door de airco units op het dak extreem luidruchtig. De receptie kon ons niet helpen, dus hebben we hele nacht wakker gelegen. De volgende dag kregen we een nieuwe kamer hier geen last van de airco maar ook zeer lawaaierig, je hoorde het water lopen van de nabije kamers, uiteraard niet leuk als je buren midden in de nacht veertrekken. Ontbijt was basic en voor een gebakken eitje moest je bij betalen.

O quarto é grande e confortável, cafe muito bom, localização excelente, garagem, banheiro reformado e novo.. Voltarei varias vezes.

Hotellet ligger i et hyggelig område litt utenfor sentrum. Kjøpesenter og mathall som nærmeste nabo og enkel adkomst til buss og bane i grei gangavstand fra hotellet. Hadde et stort flott rom som var utstyrt med safe, kjøleskap, tv og vannkoker. Det var god frokost og veldig hyggelig personale. Man bør imidlertid være godt kjent med personen man deler rom med, for det er ingen låsbar dør til toalettet- kun en dør i frostet glass som ikke går helt til taket. Dette vil riktignok ikke stoppe meg fra å velge hotellet igjen hvis jeg returnerer til Porto

The staff on reception are welcoming, lovely and so helpful. The hotel is clean and the rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast buffet that is included with the rate had a huge assortment and was delicious. Staff even assisted with our tour bookings and helped us with ordering tickets to see a Porto soccer game which is a must-see. The fans are incredibly supportive and there is positive energy in the stadium with vibrant music being played and sung throughout the game. Loved the opportunity and experience. Many thanks for a wonderful stay. Porto was a terrific city to explore.

Excellent and very helpful staff. My luggage was delayed by the airline, and the team assisted me in contacting the airline’s lost and found, retrieving my bags, and getting the essentials I needed for the first couple of days. The room was clean, the bed was large and comfortable, and the location is central, with a shopping mall and plenty of restaurants nearby.

Fiquei mais de 20 vezes no hotel, o quarto já estava arrumado, a atendente da portaria além de não deixar entrar não foi cortês me deixando profundamente chateado, talvez não volte mais.

A little far from old porto still walkable

Hervorragende Lage. Zu Bus und Metro nur wenige Minuten. Casa Musica in gehweite. Zum Douro in 20Minuten.

This hotel is a lovely location in Porto. About a 20 min walk to the waterfront area. We had a car so needed a place with parking and the parking here was excellent. It’s adjacent to a little mall and food court. The room was large and clean. The staff were wonderful. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Hotel is modern, rooms are very large and clean. Location is in the new area but 5-8 min from old area. Very nice staff too

Great stay at HF Fenix - a little bit further away from Porto centre but it was quick and cheap to get taxis when we needed. We had a really spacious triple room which was perfect for our group. Breakfast at the hotel was really good, and only a few minutes away was the Mercado Bom Sucesso which I'd highly recommend.

Easy to reach from airport via Casa Musica tram station. Although not close to main Ribeira tourist area was easy to access , an ideal base for a short city break to visit anywhere on the tram network and would return.

First place I stayed in Porto on a 15-day trip for wedding. This hotel is in a great location close to shopping and some dining, metro stops close. Casa do Musica, Carolinas Michaelis metro stops are within walking distance but cab large luggage, cobblestones and narrow street combined with constant construction reduces the commute. Walking is sometimes difficult between metro stations, this is a good location that allows for access to necessities and bar/food in the hotel. Would have stayed here the entire trip but had to go to Braga for a few days.

​This hotel has a great location, close to shopping and restaurants. The rooms are a good size with comfortable beds. The lobby has a pleasant smell. It's not too far from the city center, and if you enjoy walking, breakfast excellent, I highly recommend this hotel.
