Bien dans l'ensemble. Quelques points à améliorer néanmoins. Il y a des chambres qui donnent sur la salle à manger du petit déjeuner. Donc réveil des 7h30. Il n'y a que 10 chaises longues à la piscine, tant pis pour ceux qui n'arrivent pas les premiers, puis les serveurs au petit déjeuner c'est plutôt le niveau cantine qu'un 5 étoiles. Mais sinon dans l'ensemble bien, même si bien en dessous du niveau du même hôtel à Beja.

Pousada conventuale nel centro della bellissima Evora, a due passi dalla splendida Cattedrale ed accanto al tempio di Diana, ben ristrutturata e ben tenuta e arredata, atmosfera tipo San Domenico di Taormina, le celle sono stanze da letto e nel chiostro si cena e si fa colazione, buona cucina locale, discreta la prima colazione ma migliorabile, la cella 03 grande, molto carina, ma la parte letto è nel seminterrato con qualche sentore di umidità e rumori idrici notturni, bagno bello ma con vasca smaltata scomoda per la doccia, inutile dire che anche questo è senza bidet, moquette da eliminare o rinnovare, piscina piccola ma si prende bene il sole, prezzo non eccessivo per la qualità e originalità della struttura

An amazing hotel. Originally a monastery and the design and decor is incredible. Rooms are set up in the original monastery cells, and you have to duck to get through the door! Right outside is a Roman ruin. Parking is right behind the hotel. It is friendly and clean and an absolutely fabulous location.

Loved being in such a historic building with wonderful staff. However finding parking was a nightmare. Actually got scooped by another driver when we were backing into a spot we found. Needs huge improvement in this area

It’s a lovely hotel but certainly not luxurious. Had to pay for parking which we hadn’t taken on board in the description. Breakfast very good but not as good as the pousada in Beja. Location was definitely 5 star. Our bed very comfortable but walls and carpet need refurbished. Our fridge didn’t work. Unfortunately only discovered at the end of the day when we wanted a COLD drink. The final disappointment was discovering our rental car was damaged after valet parking by hotel staff. And this after paying for the privilege of parking there. Most of the service we received was very good. Just a shame about the mishaps.

Liked most things about the property. A bit more attention to detail would be good. The safe in the room was not operational and was not fixed although we mentioned it. The toilet paper holder is broken. A easy fix but the paper is just left on top of the water tank. Small things a manager would need to know and should get corrected in order to keep the status of the pousada name.

Beautiful hotel sensitively converted but rooms were somewhat spartan compared to others in the hotel group. There is air conditioning and a tv in the room, and I appreciate it is a monks cell. Initially there was no hot water ( I thought it was to enhance the monastic experience) until I realised it was turned off under the sink because the tap dripped. The sink plug mechanism was broken and the whole bathroom needed a refurb. That said the hotel is situated right next to the Roman temple the downstairs is lovely and the staff are fantastic. I would definitely stay again

The location was unique, as was the architecture. The breakfast was lovely and staff professional. All this gets lost when your room has mold above the window, the carpet needs to be ripped out as it was extremely disgustin -- full of dirt marks and stains from years of wear and tear. The claw foot, a beautiful feature, doesn't hold the water to enable a bath. The heat pump didn't work properly either. I was excited to stay at this location and couldn't get out of there fast enough. And, yes, all the room have carpet. I should have checked in advance.

The bedroom carpet could be the dirtiest/most stained carpet I have ever seen. Our room was over the breakfast area so it was VERY loud and smelled like cooked onions the entire time we stayed there even though we had the windows closed. The property was in a fabulous location though and very unique. Front desk staff was great. Just very dirty and loud.

We enjoyed staying in a historical property. The grounds were beautiful, and the pousada was perfectly situated to Evora's attractions, museums, shopping, and very high quality restaurants. The staff were friendly, and helpful, and we enjoyed the breakfast. The carpet in our room was little worn, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would recommend to other travelers.

Loved the architecture and decor at Pousada Convento de Evora. The dining experience at the hotel was outstanding as were the buffet breakfasts. The AC however, in our room. Was leaking without our noticing above the wardrobe and our clothes got wet, we notified the hotel. The hotel apologized but did not offer anything to make up for the trouble it took to dry our clothes with a hair dryer.

When you go to Portugal you have to stay at a Pousada. Just for the experience and the history. But….Evora Pousada rooms are tired and not that comfortable. Carpets in the room were dated, not clean. You are here for the experience not the comfort and ease of Accomodation. One night should suffice. It’’s a shame because location and vibe outside the room is great. But premium room prices should provide a better degree of comfort.

De service was goed en vriendelijk, de kamer Erg klein voor dit geld maar oké. De wifi verbinding was ronduit slecht. En voor een vijfsterrenhotel was een Koffieapparaat op de kamer op zijn plaats geweest.

We had an issue leaving our luggage at the reception of this hotel. We left our luggage at the reception under the care of the hotel staff to go for lunch. When we were back, we brought those to our room with no incident and we seen in the room that it was broken. The endle was broken and not fonctionnal at all. For sure we went back to the reception and let them know the situation. They were supposed to revew the video of the security but for sure they din’t see anything wrong. So no help at all. I am very desappointed. The second thing the food was cold and the pork loin over cooked. The condition of the room is very average for the price (dirty carpet). Not going there anymore. Bad experience for the price!

The standout at this hotel was the service. Everyone was very attentive, kind, and professional. Easy to get information and help for anything. It is a beautiful historic property, had all of the amenities, and we wish we were staying longer. Highly recommend.

This is a beautiful hotel encompassing an old convent that has been very tastefully renovated. Completely within the walled city to make visiting Evora quite easy. The rooms are actually the monks cells that have been renovated to provide very tasteful rooms. A very nice buffet breakfast is included to start your morning off right.

As we are driving, the Pousada was challenging to find. Once found, the front desk staff were amazing. Sorry to say, but the dinner meal was very overcooked & I couldn’t eat it.

Lovely property in a fabulous location. Dinner and breakfast were both very good. We were celebrating our anniversary and there was a bottle of champagne and some snacks in our room when we arrived. Very nice!
