Great location and close to many attractions. We especially liked settling in after a long day and having a simple easy dinner in the lounge area, after so many weeks of eating out at restaurants and walking around towns. Staff was really helpful. Underground parking was tricky but if you can get a spot, a few "five point turns" will get you there.

Great oasis inside the walled city. A lovely courtyard for an afternoon drink before dinner or a late evening glass of wine. Parking on site, exceptional staff, with good restaurant recommendations. Easy to walk the inner walls of the city and the sights within the wall amazing and a must see. Would definitely return if in the area again.

Very helpful and accommodating staff. Breakfast was delicious and eggs cooked any way preferred, the order taken by very pleasant woman! Our 6 passenger van was too large for the underground garage so they put us conveniently just outside the door in a great spot.

Although the place has the charm some are looking for it could use a little updating. Carpet was old and bathroom had some areas where caulking etc could be better. Shower was a little small and I kept either turning it off or it was switching to excessive hot/cold because I was hitting it by accident. Front desk man (Dave I think) was welcoming as well as the breakfast staff. This was the first place that had a made to order breakfast in 10 days that we stayed in PT so that was nice. Parking was very tight in the basement. Don’t plan on staying here if you have or rent a larger vehicle. We couldn’t even get out of the parking lot for at least 10 min as an older gentleman was having a hard time making the right turn and blocked us in. Picture online is deceiving….shows an empty parking lot and it looks very large in the picture.

The Albergaria do Calvário staff were kind and very helpful and the location is right within the Heritage site where you can walk to all Evora’s historical places. The king suite is very spacious and it included 2 large sofas, mini fridge, free water and toiletries. The king size bed is soft and very comfortable. This is a very clean hotel and it has an underground parking.

Our suite was wonderful in so many ways - roomy, lovely furniture, well-designed (there is a day-bed in the living room, for additional accommodation). The only negatives were the rugs on either side of the bed, which needed cleaning and were a bit slippery (even though they were anchored under the heavy nightstands). The grass mat in the living room also needs cleaning/to be changed. Also, the folding shower door, easily moved, allowed water to flow onto the floor. Breakfast is included, and it was very good (if you want espresso, ask the breakfast attendant - the maker is behind the check-in desk). The location is very quiet - it is just inside the city walls. Beautifully maintained. The staff is very helpful and friendly.

Location of the hotel was good for walking to the various sites around Evora. The room was a good size (we had a suite) and the bed and bedding were comfortable. Overall condition of the furnishings in the room was less than expected--sofa was saggy and worn and the towels were not of very good quality. The room had an unpleasant damp/musty smell. We would look for alternate lodging if we were to return to Evora in the future.

The property was good and the staff excellent. The rooms are small but comfortable. The bathroom lacks any hooks for hanging clothing and the shower needs a place for putting your own soap and shampoo. None of the places we stayed at in Portugal had wash cloths (???).

Lovely place right inside of the city walls. Google maps took us right to it without a hitch. Easy parking in garage under the hotel. After parking, we just left our car as Evora is a very walkable city. It's a straight shot on foot along one of the main roads to the main square. Our suite was spacious and extremely comfortable. This is a true boutique hotel with many lovely touches. Breakfast was lavish and included eggs or omelettes to order. We also enjoyed coffee and tea in our room The staff was very kind and the fellow who checked us in spoke excellent English and was extremely helpful. Our only regret was not booking a longer stay. We will next time!

Located in the old city center, very charming boutique hotel with comfortable large rooms. We enjoyed the breakfast which could be eaten oustide. There is also a large parking lot. We really enjoyed our stay.

Very nice hotel in easy walking distance to all of the city. Great breakfast, service and nice option to park in the garage. AC didn’t work in the room and a street light next to the window so you couldn’t leave it open for air. Overall good.

Everything about this property was perfect, especially the staff. I rated it 4 instead of 5, because the rooms are not sound proof. We could hear our neighbors easily. Luckily they were quiet, but if you got noisy people, it would be unpleasant.

This hotel comes VERY highly recommended. The staff are all very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We had room 24, which is a suite and it was truly lovely. The bed is scrumptious, with fabulous lines and great pillows. Our room was very comfortable and the meal we had in the restaurant was delicious. The breakfast was delicious and the parking was terrific. I enjoyed our stay so much, I have booked with a partner hotel in another town.

Loved this hotel before we even arrived! To begin with, their masterly "Before You Arrive" electronic brochure made me want to rearrange my trip so I could stay in Evora longer. A truly loving and affectionate introduction to their home city and region. Then I overloaded their customer service staff as I tried to arrange guides and restaurants in advance--prompted by their "Before You Arrive" recommendations. Timing and guides didn\'t work out because of timing constraints, but the staff kept trying. But we were delighted in the restaurant advice. The hotel staff even tried to help me book restaurants in other cities in Portugal when my local hotel was unhelpful. Loved the location, breakfasts, and rooms. Their on-site parking was tight, but convenient. [We should have rented smaller cars. Proved true here and elsewhere!]

this was my second stay at ADC and just as lovely as my first. Joao at the front desk is very helpful and welcoming. The room is well kept and comfortable and it is an easy walk to all the restaurants and sites. Will absolutely stay again next time I am in Evora.

Had their own underground parking garage, which was great considering how Portugal parking is among the most difficult in the world. Night guy got us maracuya ice cream on request quickly, and the morning server was efficient and helpful (good omelet!). This property is walkable (at most 10 minutes) to all the Evora old city sites. Restaurants right down the street (we ate at Taskafina), nice shops close by.

Lovely property just inside one of the gates . Great breakfast. Helpful staff. About 15-20 walk to most sights . Neighborhood seemed a bit sketchy but it was weekend so not much open and maybe feels more safe when people are about.

Beautiful hotel, has a lovely Mediterranean vibe and look. We were very comfortable there. All of Evora is walkable inside the walls. It was nice to be off to the side and away from any noise. Breakfast was lovely as well!

This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful, historic town. The staff was wonderful, the breakfast (and other food options) tasty, and the rooms spacious and well-appointed. The location excellent for walking the town center, major sites, and restaurants. And, for drivers, the location was especially ideal because the hotel is just inside a city wall--avoiding the need to drive through Evora's charming but narrow, confusing streets.

Set just inside the old town walls, this property has a great location -- everything is walkable but you don't have to navigate your car through the narrow alleys. Our check-in experience was terrific: Joao at the front desk gave us an excellent overview of things to do and how to get to them. He also set us with reservations for two excellent dinners during our stay.

The breakfast selection was excellent. Plenty of options. Fresh meats and cheeses. Everyday they have a couple of home made cakes. Orange jice was awesome. They offered hot eggs both days and to order panckes. The coffee machine gives you lots of options. The on premises bar was always avsilable. The location was great you can walk to all the touristy spots and to many fine restaurants.

This is an excellent hotel within the old, walled city in Evora. It has great, quiet places to relax off the lobby and in the private outdoor courtyard. Our room was spacious with a king bed, sitting area and private outdoor terrace. The breakfast was terrific with options for pancakes, bacon and eggs any style in addition to continental options. The property was easy to find and has an onsite private parking garage. We had 2 delicious dinners within short walking distance from the hotel that were recommended by the hotel staff. This hotel is operated by Unlock that has a few other hotels in Portugal. Our experience was excellent and we recommend it.

Great place to stay. Well kept service was friendly. Breakfast was a treat as you can order the hot part (scrambled, fried, omelette etc with bacon) as well as lots of fresh options and can sit outside on the courtyard to enjoy. Great location and a quick walk to all the attractions (10mins) and easy for parking as they have an underground parkade. Highly recommend.
