Stone Park Ellsworth-Bar Harbor

The pool was slimmy with green stuff on the bottom. NOT handicaped friendly. No elevator and no self opening front door! I requested a room next to my nephew when I booked the room, but they put us on separate floors! Game room is way out in pool area. Couldn't get regular tv to work. A/c wouldnt stay at the temp set. No ice machines. Good open air self park. Breakfast is limited. Not worth the price!!!

A wonderful DOG-FRIENDLY place to stay near Bar Harbor and Acadia. Room was super convenient with fridge, kitchen sink with soap/sponge, microwave, and lots of counter space which was super helpful for organizing our dog’s stuff and feeding her and cleaning up her bowls and stuff. However, there are some oddities about the hotel. Most notably, there is no elevator, which doesn’t even seem legal lol - we had to lug loads of heavy luggage up and down two flights of stairs, which was really uncommonly irritating, and honestly I can see someone getting hurt trying to do this. Just really unpleasant. No ice machine which is also kind of a drag… cookies at front desk were at first appealing but then I ate one and it tasted like it had been there for weeks. So some fundamentals off, but other than that we recommend and would stay there again (with less luggage…).

Great access to the park and lots of parking. The property is clean and the room is amazing. In the morning they have pastries, coffee, tea, and hot cocoa. Bueitful reception area. Rooms have central air that is completely silent. The fans and lights are all dimmable. TVs are smart making it easy to login to apps you would use at home. Staff is so nice and helpful. Only downside is there is no elevator.

The only complaint I had was that I would like to have had a treadmill or exercise bike in the workout facility. Overall, our stay was good

Welcomed by a very beautiful lobby. Check in was seamless. Room/suite was beautiful and well equipped with everything you needed. Work out room was equipped with free weight options. Laundry room in 2nd floor with many machines. Great stay!

Not having an elevator is a small detriment and no ice machine, ameliorated buy a nice fridge w freezer. Great place!!

Excellent hotel that provides comfort and value. First-rate quality with its own personality. I am highly satisfied. It is the most comfortable snd relaxing one during our New England trip. It looks newly renovated and super clean. Our suite has a bed room and a living room equipped with ample storage cabinets and a large refrigerator, a full-size range, microwave, coffee machine, cooking and dining utensils, two HD tv, modern temperature control, a large couch and nice modern deco. The facility also has a laundry room and gym, an outdoor swimming pool. 24 hr access to coffee, tea. The breakfast pastries and fruits are nice.

They had a nice game room with no specific hours as it was in a separate building by the pool

This lodge was easily the best place I’ve ever stayed in while traveling. The staff was extremely friendly and everything was so clean. It had a very cozy and inviting atmosphere as well. I would highly recommend

The suite was exceptionally clean and fresh. No smoke odors anywhere on the property. The furnishings were comfortable. Refrigerator, stove, and microwave were all clean and in excellent condition. My suite was streetside. Traffic noise was not problem.

I had really high hopes for this place. It’s nice in that it’s new and very modern, but the quality and craftsmanship in building is lacking. Is roomy and does have nice features. It definitely is not anymore soundproof than any other hotel, noise could be heard from other rooms and from the hall. Also to note there is no elevator and a fairly large set of stairs to the 2nd and 3rd floor. Lastly one of the wash rags from the bathroom was not cleaned or not cleaned well, there was makeup still left all for the rag folded and placed in the bathroom. I would probably pass on staying here again.

The Stone Park Hotel is a perfect hotel for people coming to Acadia. The summer prices are so high everywhere else. The cost is still high, but the Stone Park is new and clean and efficient. There are some things to note-- security could be tighter, we had trouble getting refreshed towels and our room refreshed when requested and there is no elevator for those that need one (older, physical limitations or families with lots of things). The pool area is nice, the hotel was clean, which is the most important thing to me, the location was central and there is a gym. I would stay there again. It fit its purpose.

I checked in late around 5. as I went in the front door the manager was leaving, she came back inside. No front desk personnel was present. She was not expecting me and did not have a room indicated, but quickly assigned me a room near the front door. I left to gather items to bring inside and she said she made a mistake as that room's heater was not working. She assigned me another room. I was arranging my things in the separate bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen and living area was separate and nicely done. The building was built last year. I turned down the bed and discovered a multitude of lint and hair! Dirty bedding. I took pictures. The front desk had a phone number to call. The manager answered and said I was mistaken she had changed the bed herself. She argued several minutes and I said I would not be able to use the bed. I had booked 2 nights. She then said there was new bedding in the bedroom cabinet. I agreed to change my own bed. As I was calling the manager in the hallway a gentleman staying in the next room asked me to tell the manager his toilet would not flush. Later in the bath the sink water was turned off. The next day the manager after a reminder went under the sink and turned it on for me. The microwave in the kitchenette was placed on top of the refrigerator. The refrig was a very nice full size refrig. I am short and would barely reach the door and buttons. I believe the tenant above me was up all night listening to music on the TV, constant drumming.

Also as other reviews mentioned, there is no elevator so please be advised before booking if that is a deciding factor. For some reason our room’s keurig machine did not work (water was cold so the coffee did not brew) but we were able to make coffee in the lobby. Other than these few things we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this location.

No housekeeping Pool appears incomplete, no signage of any kind. No towels, no towel receptacles, no bathrooms, no changing rooms. Our room door did not always latch, we had to close it with some force. When we left, I couldn’t get it to lock from the outside at all. Our bathroom door latch also did not line up, so the door would open on its own. Microwave unreachable TVs too high on the walls, can’t be adjusted No control of a bathroom fan Sink and oven over carpet Sofa bed was very difficult to put away

Everything was as expected and described. A few improvement points 1) The sofa bed needs to be more comfortable and steady 2) Kithech needs a few more utensils and an exhaust

One of my favorite places to stay in Ellsworth! Nice suites with big open floorplans. They also have super fast fiber internet with private modems in each room which is a game changer for computer and office work. Great coffee selection, and really nice common area. Highly recommended

Beautiful place that fit my every need. Just be aware if on the bottom floor the ceiling is thin.

Heard lots of dogs through the night. No one at the front desk. Had a random text asking if we could quiet our dogs when we didnt have any. Walls are paper thin. NO elevators and the steps are many and very steep. Internet didn’t work which also lead to no TV as well. It was definitely clean and comfortable but probably won’t return.

The place was beautiful and super clean. The room was very spacious. It felt like we were in a studio instead of a hotel room. The water pressure was no joke 😄. The bed was perfect, not too hard but not too soft either. They have quiet hours in placed so it was peaceful and quiet. They have a rec room with a pool table.

Should have someone always at the front desk, instead of having to leave a message.

We requested a crib and were under the impression this is an accessible hotel. Instead we were met by apathetic, unhelpful staff who informed us that there is no elevator and no one would be helping us with our bags. So we dragged our bags up 3 flights of stairs with a sleeping 1yr old, to find a pack-and-play that hadn’t been set up. So we’re left wondering if Stone Park is a really shady hotel or a slightly fancy motel. Fate was sealed by the Charlie Kirk quotes on the sign outside. I would never stay here again and I’m upset at the misrepresentation of this property.

The hotel was fair but staff was not very accommodating. It is in a good location for Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.

Only complaint was that there was no one at check in desk when we arrived or departed.

We loved the large room with full kitchen, comfortable bed and great kitchen facilities. Lobby coffee and breakfast items were outstanding. Cookies at front desk a nice touch. Extremely efficient, friendly staff. I left my tablet in our room, called in the evening and a staffer named Deanne Isherwood found it and mailed it to my home the next morning—really impressive and kind.

This is a beautiful new hotel. We did not notice on Expedia that the property does not have an elevator lucky for me . . . they were able to put us in a ground floor room as I was recovering from knee surgery. Management was very helpful and welcoming. I will definitely stay here again.

Stone Park was just what we needed for our stay. I missed the name of the gentleman but the person who was working the desk was very friendly and attentive. Offered some good suggestions for places to grab food. The lobby area also had a bunch of cookies, muffins etc which was a nice touch and the hotel in general was cozy with candles lit and added a nice scent. One downside is no elevator for the 3 level building but really not an issue for us personally. Room was clean and had a bedroom and a separate living/ cooking set up. We were only staying for one night but I think this could be a great option for people wanting to stay a bit longer where it has a full size fridge, stove etc. and with the location close to bar harbor and Acadia but a fraction of the cost of any other places you could stay in the area. Would stay here again without question.

Amazing value at this location. Beautiful accommodations, free parking and centrally located. Check in was a breeze and the staff (Fred) was amazing and very accommodating. I've stayed at all the others in the area and this is the hands down winner by far.

This property is absolutely beautiful! The rooms are super spacious and only a short 30 min drive to downtown Bar Harbor. I really loved staying here and will definitely be back!

Good location and convenient

This property appears to be new. Our room was clean, comfortable and attractive with great amenities. There are ample shelves, cupboards and closet areas. Much of the lighting is dimmable. There were ample towels and kitchen supplies. There is an in-room Keurig coffee machine as well as a tea/coffee bar in the lobby with Keurig machines. It is well-located on the highway route for Bar Harbor.

Very nice property. Convenient location close to shopping, restaurants, groceries etc. Just 30 minutes from the Hulls Cove Visitor Center of the Acadia National Park.

The good - Location was great, pricing was great, room was clean and very spacious. Has an actual stove to cook. The bad - the room was listed with hair dryer but there was none. No free breakfast included, BUT has free coffee, fresh fruits and snacks. Over all, exceptional value for the price you’re paying. It’s also about 30-40 minutes fro Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor.

Stone Park was a great place to stay! It's brand new, so everything is clean and really nice. It was great to have the 2 rooms, plus a fridge and stove. Everyone front the hotel was really friendly and excellent to work with. It is on the south side of Ellsworth, so it is easier to get to Acadia and Bar Harbor.

We had a wonderful stay at this Stone Park! The room was clean, comfortable, and exactly what we were hoping for. The staff was friendly and the whole experience was smooth and pleasant. A helpful tip for future guests: the hotel doesn't offer breakfast, so you might want to bring your own snacks or plan accordingly. However, they make up for it by providing some fantastic discounts for local places that encouraged us to explore the area. Overall, we were very happy with our choice and would definitely recommend this hotel to others looking for a comfortable and convenient stay.

It was an odd place. Very comfortable but was a mixture of high end fixtures and electronics and low end finishings. It didn’t have an elevator so you have to lug up luggage but did include a continental breakfast, both were not mentioned. Music playing in the hall 24hr a day. It still in the process of being finished.
