The hotel should list they only have about 6 parking spots. The hotel had wonderful old-world charm, the staff was great! The room could have been better. I understand a lot of Europeans don't use AC but at least have a fan in the room. All hotels should have blackout shades in the 21st century, this was a missed opportunity.

Excellent location, at the quiet end of the best street in town. Close to royal theatre and opera house. Very helpful and friendly staff. Wonderful rooms with old wooden beams. Wonderful restaurant on the ground floor. Loved this place.

The hotel has a fantastic location right next to the canal, and the staff were very kind and attentive. However, accessing the elevator requires going up some stairs, which makes it less convenient for guests with heavy luggage or mobility issues. Although I stayed in a Junior Suite, the canal view was not as good as expected, which was a bit disappointing.

We stayed for a week over Easter and had a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing time. The property is perfectly located centrally so you can easily walk to the nearest Metro and also many key attractions. However it is at the end of the canal so slightly away from the main busy areas. We really enjoyed sitting out on the terrace by the canal watching the world go by! The room was lovely and done to a very high standard. It was certainly big enough. The bathroom was superb. We really enjoyed the breakfast every morning- a great selection of delicious food. Overall I would strongly recommend this hotel. Many thanks!

This hotel was awesome. The staff were amazing especially Mads. And the breakfast was out of this world. From honeycombs, to to homemade nutella and peanut butter and cild cuts, breads, all teas and coffees, juices galore, yogurts, cheeses, fresh omelettes, and so much more!!! They even had rhubard/ginger water or flavor of the day to quelch your thirsts and almonds at reception.Would highly recommend!

My husband and I did a road trip from Sweden, to Denmark, to Germany. The hotel was on our way and because it was located almost in the city center we selected it. The hotel was wonderful, the staff was super friendly and helpful. There is parking but it is limited, I recommend letting them know you come with a car. The hotel is very close to the city center - 2 minute walk. The rooms are clean and beautiful. The breakfast is amazing, they have an omelet station where the cook prepares the eggs to your liking, multiple fresh juices, smoothies, and healthy drinks. The breakfast buffet is large and has something for everybody; from healthy to vegan to typical American breakfast with bacon. The hotel is certified to a sustainable tourism standard: Green Key. You can see their commitment and initiatives. I loved seeing that people are passionate about making a difference. The hotel does not make it very known that they are certified. I asked the staff. I think they should have publicized it more in the lobby or elevator and let their guests know about all their efforts. Perhaps they inspire someone to stay in the future in a certified hotel or even make some efforts in their home. I only can recommend the hotel. We enjoyed out stay and would gladly come back!!

We had issues with air conditioning (in other words - none) and spoke to the front desk about it. They were extremely patronizing and tried to explain how AC works different in Europe instead of the US. What they didn't realize, is I used to live here, so I was aware, and we had friends staying at the hotel that didn't have any issues. I tried to explain to them the issue (the AC is in the hallway, not the bedroom, and it is pointed at the bathroom) and they told me nothing could be done even though it was cooler outside than in our room. I brought this up to management and they said they'd give us a free night the next time we stayed there. As if that is going to happen - definitely not worth the stay if you have to take a cold shower 3 times a day to get any relief. Thankfully when it became cloudy it was at least manageable. Save yourself the frustration and stay somewhere else.

My wife and I recently stayed at the 71 Nyhavn hotel. We loved it. The location was perfect, right at the end of the very busy and touristy Nyhavn harbor in central Copenhagen. Despite the crowds, the rooms were very quiet and the lobby was very peaceful and calm. The restaurant in the hotel (an Italian cusine) was superb - the food was great, the staff very nice and spoke to us giving us background on the area. The room was very clean, the entire staff was excellent, very kind and courteous, they all spoke English well. Breakfast was amaing, lots to chose from in the buffet-style set up. we loved the smoken salmon, bread, and hot offerings (Omelettes cooked to order), and the self serve cappuchino/teas/water. Being dead-center of the tourist area, the shopping was very close and easily walkable, plenty to keep everyone happy. Overall, 5 stars, we would love to go back in the future and once again explore Copenhagen.

71 Nyhavn was conveniently located, staff was extremely nice, and the breakfast was amazing! However, I was disappointed by the actual room -- it felt like a 2-star hotel, there was no soap in the shower, and the tissues were not refilled the entire 3 day stay despite housecleaning coming into the room every day.

We stayed at the Nyhavn in October during our first trip to Copenhagen. Excellent location, clean, quaint rooms and very good service. The front desk helped us switch rooms quickly and efficiently due to a booking error- which we appreciated. The breakfast was excellent with a variety of selections. We would stay here again!

Wonderful hotel (pricey but worth it) but be aware if you’re 6’ tall or taller, there are low wooden and iron cross beams in many of the rooms and my partner (6’4”) had to duck every time he walked into the room or got up to use the bathroom. Awkward (and mildly scary)! Otherwise- very comfortable bed and bathroom; common areas also lovely. Staff was excellent- Sophia was so helpful. Breakfasts onsite were delicious with many great hot and cold options. We’d definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.

Personalet var venligt og hjælpsomt. Morgenmaden kunne ikke være bedre. Udsigten fra værelset kunne ikke være mere trist. Der var langt til bus og metro, men skønt at havnebussen var tæt. Alt i alt et dejligt ophold.

Aircon larmer virkelig meget. Som i umuligt at sove i. Ingen gardiner, kun skodder, der ikke lukker tæt. Så solen / gadebelysning, lige ind i sengen Nok den dårligste kaffe jeg længe har smagt (sejler med molslinien tit). Resten af morgenmad er virkelig god kvalitet. Restaurant / roomservice er også rigtig godt. Personale er venlige og imødekommende.

We wished we could have stayed a couple more days! The hotel is perfectly located to all attractions of Copenhagen. We got an upgraded room with the most beautiful view of the boats and canal. The mattrace was cozy and the room so inviting after coming back from a walk along the canals on a cold winter day. The room with its old decorative beams was beautiful. And the breakfast had everything you could wish for with a lot of healthy varieties, as well. There were thoughtful and interesting notes on the beans, we have learnt a lot by reading them. Next time in Copenhagen we sure book it again!

Booked a junior suite for a four night stay. Compact room had real character, nice view over the camel and comfortable bed, although the bathroom is tiny. Three of the four windows had shutters that don’t keep the light out in the morning, so light sleepers should bring eye shades. However the location is great for sightseeing and breakfast was excellent.

The location was perfect for walking or accessing public transportation. The Christmas market was setting up making the setting lovely. First floor room was a bit loud at times due to street noise but the room was well appointed, clean and comfortable. I looked forward to the amazing breakfast each morning!

Great boutique hotel at end and more quieter section of Nyhavn area. It had great character, comfortable beds, wonderful breakfast and friendly staff. only issue is they forgot to charge me for my rooms upon check-in so I covered it at checkout. I received a phone call the next day that they forgot to charge me for one night of my room and I had to do that online. Then I got a terse email saying I didn’t pay it online when I had in fact paid and all because they forgot to do the right thing twice. I was slightly annoyed that I didn’t receive a phone call apologizing for the inconvenience. Something they should’ve addressed especially since it was their issue.

Absolutely loved our stay at 71 Nyhavn Hotel! The location was perfect, centrally located and walking/biking distance from all major sights. The staff was very friendly and helpful and gave great recommendations for restaurants and activities. The room was cozy and the view was beautiful. Would definitely book here again!

Prior to staying at the hotel I did message them to ask about any dedicated taxi service from the airport, they were quick with the response and gave a lot of detail about getting to the hotel, I did opt for the public transport (Which was recommended by the hotel) and I must say was very simple and easy to follow. I flew in from London Heathrow on a ridiculously early flight and was at the hotel by about 11 am, I did partially fill in the online check in and noted my estimated arrival time, the hotel happily obliged and (Subject to availability) were great in getting my room ready early. The room was a decent size and wasn’t facing the water (If you visit I would recommend getting these especially as I arrived on the St. Lucia festival, as this would give you great views from the comfort of your room), the room itself had all the necessities you would expect, tea/coffee refills every day, also added bonus of tea/coffee cards to redeem in in the cafe/bar downstairs, shower was decent size and pressure was good. The bed was comfortable and pillows were nice and soft, very relaxing after walking most of CPH over the 4 days. Breakfast was included in my booking, which if you can get I would definitely recommend, I set off early and started breakfast by 7:00 at the latest. Lots of variety, cold counter with skyr and oats or Rislamande, ham, cheese etc. hot counter with bacon, sausages, tomatoes, mushrooms and an omelette made to order, breads and pastries and coffee/tea/juice.

Excellent location, at the quiet end of the best street in town. Close to royal theatre and opera house. Very helpful and friendly staff. Wonderful rooms with old wooden beams. Wonderful restaurant on the ground floor. Loved this place.

A beautiful hotel in an excellent setting. It was clean, comfortable, quiet and everything we needed for our break. A lot of attractions are within walking distance or its a 10 minute walk to the excellent subway. All the staff were friendly and professional. I did not try the restaurant but the breakfast was wonderful. I would definitely go back there

Really good hotel in a tourist hotspot. Everything you want to do in Copenhagen is within walking distance. Nice, but small, rooms with old, visible ceiling beams. The hotel is in an old warehouse. Very kind, we'll trained and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast.

We stayed for a week over Easter and had a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing time. The property is perfectly located centrally so you can easily walk to the nearest Metro and also many key attractions. However it is at the end of the canal so slightly away from the main busy areas. We really enjoyed sitting out on the terrace by the canal watching the world go by! The room was lovely and done to a very high standard. It was certainly big enough. The bathroom was superb. We really enjoyed the breakfast every morning- a great selection of delicious food. Overall I would strongly recommend this hotel. Many thanks!

The location was perfect for walking or accessing public transportation. The Christmas market was setting up making the setting lovely. First floor room was a bit loud at times due to street noise but the room was well appointed, clean and comfortable. I looked forward to the amazing breakfast each morning!

Breakfast catered for everyone - fresh food, pastries, terrific choice, eggs cooked to order etc. There was air conditioning which could be turned off - there were nice big windows which we could open for cool air and, as we were on the 4th floor, was very safe. The rooms were quiet probably due to the solid walls. Bed was huge and very comfortable. Staff couldn't have been nicer and more welcoming. I would go back again.

Rooms are nice decorated but you hear everything if you stay on 1. floor (the people above you and from outside) Have stayed at the hotel several times and this time was the only time with these problems. This hotel was awesome. The staff were amazing especially Mads. And the breakfast was out of this world. From honeycombs, to to homemade nutella and peanut butter and cild cuts, breads, all teas and coffees, juices galore, yogurts, cheeses, fresh omelettes, and so much more!!! They even had rhubard/ginger water or flavor of the day to quelch your thirsts and almonds at reception.Would highly recommend!

71 Nyhavn is a wonderful hotel. The service is great and the staff made wonderful recommendations for restaurants and activities. Their breakfast is the best. Aircon larmer virkelig meget. Som i umuligt at sove i. Ingen gardiner, kun skodder, der ikke lukker tæt. Så solen / gadebelysning, lige ind i sengen Nok den dårligste kaffe jeg længe har smagt (sejler med molslinien tit). Resten af morgenmad er virkelig god kvalitet. Restaurant / roomservice er også rigtig godt. Personale er venlige og imødekommende.

Hvis man skulle sige noget og give lidt konstruktiv kritik til værelset og faciliteter: Der mangler gardiner for vinduerne (skodderne lukker ikke lyset ude). glasvæg på toilettet er en lidt underlig løsning, da det nærmest virker som toilettet er i selve værelset med hvad det medfører ;-). Ved morgenmaden, så er der placeret kaffemaskiner mellem gæsterne, der larmer rimeligt meget. hvorfor ikke bare samle det ved maden eller i enden af lokalet. Det gør støjniveauet meget højt.

Sadly Sparrow needs updating. From the lack of parking to check in to steps at entrance (luggage) to tiny elevator to hallway shabby carpet & room’s moldy bath tile, it’s just a hassle. Parking is a nightmare - try getting back in the lot. Worst - so noisy we couldn’t sleep & taking a shower means the entire bathroom is wet. Breakfast ok but why charge for espresso drinks? Could not check out fast enough!

Otroligt mysigt hotell med bra läge. Jättesköna sängar och supergod frukost. Personalen var väldigt serviceinriktad. Vi bodde två nätter och åt middag på hotellets restaurang båda kvällarna. The restaurant in the hotel (an Italian cusine) was superb - the food was great, the staff very nice and spoke to us giving us background on the area. The room was very clean, the entire staff was excellent, very kind and courteous, they all spoke English well. Breakfast was amaing, lots to chose from in the buffet-style set up. we loved the smoken salmon, bread, and hot offerings (Omelettes cooked to order), and the self serve cappuchino/teas/water. Being dead-center of the tourist area, the shopping was very close and easily walkable, plenty to keep everyone happy. Overall, 5 stars, we would love to go back in the future and once again explore Copenhagen.

Frankly, we were disappointed with our stay. We paid extra to upgrade to a suite, in part because the normal rooms were very compact and because of the water views, but unfortunately the room was never comfortable. We understand that this is an older property and that some limitations come with the building, but the low ceilings made the room feel even more confined, and the bathroom was so small that it was uncomfortable to use. For a hotel at this price point, and particularly after paying a premium for a suite, we expected a more comfortable experience and an air-conditioning system capable of properly cooling the space. Unfortunately, the combination of the inadequate air conditioning, cramped accommodations, and the hotel’s inability to resolve the issue left us disappointed with the overall experience. We would not return to this property.
