Great location. Small but comfortable rooms. Amenities weren’t great, hairdryer in room didn’t work, bedside lamps didn’t work and the hotel bar was under renovation, but the staff was pleasant the breakfast delicious.

Das Hotel liegt zentral in der Nähe von Kongens Nytorv. Innerhalb von ca. 10 Minuten ist man zu Fuß an der Metrostation. Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Es besteht die Möglichkeit, Fahrräder zu mieten. Das Frühstück war frisch und es wurde eine gute Auswahl angeboten.

First - let's just say Copenhagen is a great place to spend 5 days. Clean, beautiful, lots to do, great food. We really lucked out finding the Phoenix. Very nice, stately, very comfortable rooms, beautiful lobby. Beautiful bathrooms The staff was very helpful. The location could not be better - near a lot, but not a touristy area. Some very nice restaurants nearby, and great bars. The hotel also offered very nice bikes - which really came in handy.

I would have given this otherwise lovely hotel a higher rating. But there was NO means of accessing the hotel’s entrance, lobby area on level ground. Guests needed to use STEPS to get up to lobby. Plus a few more to reach my room. This posed a challenge for anyone who used a mobility device (in my case, a Rollator walker.) as well as anyone with heavy luggage.It was NOT mentioned on Expedia website (nor their own website) that the property was not wheelchair accessible.

This hotel is in a great location, but it needs a refurbishment. The tiny bath tub was very worn and pitted. The floor was so sloped that it felt like you where drunk. And the whole floor smelt of old carpet. The check in was the worst I have ever experienced. Go there for the location, if you can ignore the cons. Pretty sure our room was a bit haunted.. TV shut down without any input every night. And the lights on the bathroom had a mind of their own! I wont go there again, but it was an OK experience. To be fair this is a very old building. Go there if you like old charm. I wanted to extent the stay for six hours, and offered to pay for a full day. Was told the hotel was full. Checked on the web, they had rooms available. Asked if I should book through the web. Then magically they “found” a room. Plenty of much better hotels around in CPH.

worst housekeeping I had ever experienced in my life. In my five days stay, two days they forgot to clean the room, even with please clean the room sign on. Other time they forgot the towels, drinking glasses and coffee cup.

I was really excited to stay here and was breathless when I stepped into the lobby. Unfortunately I was only staying in a twin bed room and I was definitely treated that way. I was sent to the room in the very back of the hotel, having to drag my luggage up and down 2 flights of stairs because no one offered to help at check in. My view was of a dumpster in an alley, the towels had pubic hair on them, hair drier was covered in dust, there was no mattress, just a mattress pad. The shower also was very difficult to use and turn on, I had to call the front desk and it was clear they knew this was an issue. The WiFi was weak and their QR codes to their menus/room service didn’t work. They also knew this and it hadn’t been fixed. At least it was in a great, safe location.

Fantastic location. Beautiful clean facilities. Hotel bar is closed for renovations. I am VERY patient with small hotel rooms in Europe, but these rooms are VERY tight. Full size bed (small - not a king/queen). Size of other furniture in room makes for a very tight room - limited space for suitcase, had to put on the window seal.

Enjoyed our stay. The only issue was our Superior Double Room was located facing a side street, directly over the loading bay doors. There were trucks starting before 3:00 am and metal banging sounds which made it hard to sleep. Wondering if booking through Travelocity results in less desirably located rooms

Assigned a room a long walk away with stairs up & down. No offer to help with luggage. Room door not self closing, had to be slammed. Housekeeping walked in with do not disturb sign out. Older property. Restaurant closed. We are able bodied but handicapped could not stay here.

Staff was rude . We were given the wrong bed configuration, supposed to be two twin beds and were given a double. Unapologetic and spoke in Danish instead of English to discuss the matter among themselves and when I questioned they said it was nothing.

Hotel na região central , bem localizado, porém com péssimo e pequeno quarto para casal . Durante uma estadia não limparam o quarto. Bom café da manhã. Péssimo atendimento do Staff que não nos ajudou a programar um táxi para irmos ao Porto de embarque do MSC , com a desculpa que o centro estava fechado aos domingos…. Detalhe o mesmo abriu após as 12:30 hs permitindo a circulação de táxi e etc . Precisamos sair a pé e com malas e andar muito para ter a assessoria de outro hotel, que nos acolheu e CHAMOU UM TÁXI . NOTA ZERO

An unexpected problem with the room made it unsuitable to stay in. This was acknowledged and accepted and the manager, Mr Mortensen, dealt with it promptly, courteously, professionally and as effectively as it is was possible to do. The hotel's efforts to minimise the inconvenience to us, and to compensate us for the difficulties we had experienced, were exemplary. We will never forget the great kindness and understanding shown to us on what was a difficult time as we were in town for a funeral service. I have no hesitation in recommending the hotel.

I loved my stay at Phoenix Copenhagen! It is a beautiful hotel in a great location, so convenient to Nyhavn and walkable to the metro and other parts of Copenhagen! The breakfast was delicious with lots of choices, my room was spacious and the bed was SO comfortable!

Stayed 2 nights before a cruise. Hotel is in a quiet area but walkable to many major sites. Lots of restaurant options in area and two grocery stores near by. A metro stop very close too. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is in a great location, central to transit, shopping, sight-seeing, and restaurants. The rooms were comfortable. The staff were very kind and accomodating. The breakfast isn't worth it, truly. It's like a continental breakfast at Holiday Inn, but with more types of bread and a few more fruits. They need to step it up.

Januar 2026 Som gamle Københavner der nu er flyttet til provinsen, kan jeg kun sige at Hotel Phoenix ligger genialt i den smukke del af København tæt på vandet, high end butikker, spisesteder, museer, og hemmelige grønne oaser, Phoenix har senge man sover rigtig godt i, og en virkelig god morgenmads buffet, med stor variation, friske råvarer og god kaffe...
