Well positioned Hotel within walking distance of the beach. Literally round the corner from the town square , with lots of restaurants to choose from. The hotel was relatively small, a very small lift and the rooms were a little bit dated and tired looking. The bed was very comfy though and the breakfast was very good.

Lovely modern and refreshed room. Nice view out to the water. No noise from outside when the windows were closed. Excellent amenities .. bathrobe, slippers, kettle and tea and coffee. Plenty of space and the bed was comfortable. Had a good nights sleep. Staff were pleasant and made you feel welcome. Free parking outside. We arrived when market was on so had to park a 5 or 6 minute walk away but that wasn’t a problem. Close to the square and beach. Would recommend and would return again if I was staying in Calais.

Not sure how this hotel is 4* it’s can’t be more than a 3* Staff are very friendly and helpful, it’s in a really good location close to the beach and a square full of restaurants and bars. Parking is onstreet only so no security for yr belongings in the car. The place is very dated but works for a 1 night stop over

Getting our room key was fine, we went out for a walk and some food. We returned around 9pm and requested a drink from the bar(at 9pm!), but were refused, denied as the same person on the desk said the bar was closed. We have stayed several times and bought a drink at the bar later than that. The bathroom sink would not close/open so couldnt fill the sink up. When we left, we asked if there was a water cooler available and this was broke unfortuantley, and we were not offered an alternative. Overall we felt a little dissapointed this year as we felt the service/standard was below what Holiday Inn sets. Yours sincerly Paul & Kathryn Chirnside
