I booked a room at this hotel while working during a heatwave in Zurich since it offered air conditioned rooms - a pretty basic requirement. But the hotel does not actually have proper A/C! The place even blocks out the temperature gauges on thermostats in its rooms because, as the front desk told me, “otherwise people would complain.” At 2 am I woke up in a ball of sweat and asked for a fan. They brought me one covered in dust from the basement. DO NOT STAY HERE

Great boutique style hotel close to main train station - 5 mins walk. Modern and clean. Only problem we had was previous guest in our room was smoking and we could smell the smoke as soon as we entered. Staff were happy to change our room but they were full so they put a machine in our room to clean the air and we went and had dinner and when we returned, the room was clear of smoke. We would happily stay here again.

A nice hotel that is next door to a nightclub. If you get a room on the hallway ends, there is a chance you will have music thumping all night. When I mentioned it to the front desk, they were like “ yeah, there’s a club next door”.

One night stay en route back to the US so did not use any facilities but our room was spacious and comfortable. Everything worked well though the WiFi was slow. Front desk staff were helpful and kind. Within walking distance to everything you want or need in old town. Less than 10 minute walk from the train station.

Front desk staff are amazing!!, They booked all our daily tours in Zurich and helped me to by train tickets to Geneva at very discounted rate . Without their help I would have paid 2 times more . Super helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay there again

It was ok. We were hot and couldn’t figure out how to use A/C and bc the front desk attendant was alone they couldn’t come to show us how to work it. I had to remove cover & tape that was hiding the temp etc .. wasn’t the cleanest place but then we only used facility for one half day. And room had smell coming from exhaust from restaurant downstairs not that pleasant considering we had to open windows for air circulation. Close to shopping, cafes & train station. For those reasons the location is good.

We really enjoyed our stay at City Hotel Zürich. The hotel is very clean and modern looking on the inside. The staff were all helpful and all spoke English. The hotel is very convenient as it’s just a ~5 min walk from the main train station and walkable to all of the sites in the center of Zurich. We would definitely recommend to fellow travelers.

From now on this is my go to hotel in Zürich! It’s in a great central location (really convienient for the main train station). I had a spacious and suprizingly cozy room. Its location does mean you always hear the inevitable buzz of the city even in the small hours, but it’s never too obtrusive.

Great say. Very welcoming and cosy reception area and neat hotel rooms. Stayed at a single bed room. Worked perfectly for a one-night stay on a business trip. It was a super nice tapas restaurant next door with great service and fantastic food. Kitchen closes at 9pm, so don`t show up too late in the evening. Tasty and well assorted breakfast buffet.

Bodde på detta hotell då jag skulle springa Zurich marathon. Hotellet hade bra läge, då det låg max 10 min promenad från centralstationen. Rummet var fräscht och rymligt, stor säng för ett enkelrum. Frukosten får dock ett minus, inte mycket att välja på. Ingen buffé som i Sverige mycket torftigt utbud, till ett högt pris <200:-.
