1st stay since the flood in December 2022 and they have done a good job refurbishing the place. No fish tank any more though, which is not surprising. First the positive things. Check in was prompt and friendly and I requested a quiet room. I was allocated room 6115 at the back and it was indeed quiet. The air-con was good and just what was required in 32 deg heat. The location was perfect, right next to the river beside the cathedral, not from from Alexanderplatz. Internet speed was 1st class. Breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired and excellent service, particularly from Nancy. Now the less good things. Room was a little smaller than I had expected and things felt a little cramped. I was glad I was on my own! Lighting was inadequate at night even when turning on all the switches available. The bathroom shower screen was ineffective and i was glad of extra towels to mop up. The bathroom door served to close off the toilet area and to the entire room, but with the former, there was a gap of around 2-3cm, so privacy would not have been possible if I had not been alone. The lifts proved unreliable and didn't work properly at times, which was frustrating. The pool was tiny with space for only a handful of close friends. Check out was rather rushed and unfriendly.

Dette var en kæmpe gene, da hotellet blandt var valgt grundet dette. Derudover var der larm ifbm byggeriet. Torsdag blev vores værelse ikke gjort rent før meget sent. Her blev der udelukkende redt seng og ikke fyldt op med ex. Vand. Derudover var det som om der var to forskellige morgenmadsbuffet, en A og B buffet. Nogen var velkommen, men vi blev i en ret hård tone, henvist til den B-buffeten, uden nogen former for foklaring. Vi havde bestilt et værelse med 2 enkeltsenge, men fik en dobbelt seng. Jeg har skrevet til hotellet, vedr. Værelse og spa, under opholdet, men har ikke fået svar eller nogen form for kompensation. Obs der er støj/musik i atrium rummet til kl.00.00 hvorfor det ikke var fedt at have værelse ud mod det. Alt i alt kom man hjem med en ret øv oplevelse, hvor man havde glædet sig, og betalt for en 5 stjernet oplevelse. Det synes jeg simpelthen ikke er godt nok.

Stayed 3 nights. Prime location, great sleep and great view. Looking forward to my next visit. Sauna is well equipped, but a real nightmare. No etiquette. Filming, no towel sauning (sweat into wood), swimsuit drying. People do whatever they like. Reception will not send anybody for help, claiming it’s an outsourced area. Avoid.

The hotel itself is nice enough, but when I checked in to my room there were crumbs and fresh stains all over the carpets and furniture. They moved me into a different room and gave me free breakfast to be fair, but it took a hour and a half to resolve and the staff acted like I was wasting their time. Don’t pay 5 star prices for 2 star service.

Rörigt, hotellet hade återöppnat efter 2 år av renovering. Städningen var dålig. Vi fick byta rum 3 ggr vid incheckning då rummen i te hade städats och bytt lakan. De visste inte vilka som var städade. Det rum vi till slut fick var bara bytt lakan och avtorkat. Golvet smutsigt, badrum smutsigt. Gymmet var inte klart. Spa med behandlingar inte heller klart. Ingen upphandling gjord. Att vissa delar inte är klara måste man informera om så man vet. Frukosten bra och standarden blir bra när det är klart. Trevlig personal i receptionen. Brandlarm gick och hela hotellet fick utrymmas. Vår närmaste nödutgång var låst. Ridå. Dock var det inte fara för liv men det får ju inte hända!

Unsere Familiensuite war erst nach dem gebuchten Termin verfügbar, weil die Zimmer zwar schon gereinigt wurden, aber es dafür noch keine Kontrolle gab. Ich kann mir nicht vorstellen, dass diese dann noch stattgefunden hat. Am Waschbecken lag auf dem dunklen Stein am Rand ein Haargummi, dahinter ein Stück Papier. Die Fenster waren von Händen verschmiert. Da waren anfangs die Gardinen drüber, aber da muss schon auch geschaut werden. Die Teppichleisten waren staubig und auf dem Hocker vorm Bett lagen noch Krümel. Der Zimmerspiegel war auch nicht geputzt. Hier ist offenbar die meiste Energie der Reinigung in das Bad geflossen. Das ist mir für die Qualität mit denen das Hotel sich auszeichnet dann aber einfach zu wenig.

Modernt. Rent och fräscht. Serviceminded personal. Trevlig bar. Trevlig poolavdelning. Bodde i familjesvit. Skönt med layout så det blev som två sovrum, dock bara en fåtölj att sitta i. Vi fick sitta i sängarna. Bra läge nära S-Bahn och museum.

The hotel building is nice and the room is good size for Europe. And the location on the river is nice. However, there is no actual air conditioning even though it is advertised. The rooms are stifling. And the “mini bar” fridge is not a working fridge that chills anything. For this much money, there should be a refrigerator.

Wir waren bereits zum zweiten Mal in diesem Hotel. Leider hat es bislang nie geklappt, dass die gebuchten Zimmer zur Verfügung standen. Wir sind mit unseren drei Kindern angereist und haben ein entsprechendes Familienzimmer gebucht. Der Check-In dauerte über eine dreiviertel Stunde da bei Ankunft keine entsprechenden Zimmer zur Verfügung standen. Wir werden wohl nicht erneut buchen, da es beide male nach einer 6 stündigen Autofahrt wirklich unmöglich ist.

Rude staff and poor experience. The building looked very modern and updated. They had amenities but they were not able to be used by guests. I tried to pay for my drinks at the bar by billing to the room, and they did not believe I was a guest. I had to go to the front desk and have them correct their mistake. Then, we were turned away from being sat in the restaurant. My wife and I were leaving early the next morning and we were relying on the hotel restaurant for our evening meal. When we arrived, the restaurant was empty, and the front of house manager rudely said he could not accommodate us and walked away. I have provided pictures of how empty the restaurant was. There were four servers standing around. The staff were just rude or incompetent or both. Also, we had baby roaches crawling on the bar, and on the fruit they put in our drink.

Great hotel, friendly staff. Many thanks to Shadeen and Penelope at the reception desk for being professional, attentive and kind. Hotel looks great, modern and upbeat. The atmosphere and ambiance at the lobby is great. Room was a bit small for my taste. A/C can be improved. Glasses in the room and the bathroom need to be placed on a paper pad, which was not there (?). There was a bird droppings on my window which I asked to be cleaned and I am sure the reception desk made a note, but the maintenance staff did not bother to do it. The location is great, right beside the river, cathedral and many sightseeings. The breakfast was great with good quality. There should be some movie and entertainment channels to be added to the tv. Overall, I would stay again at this hotel. Thanks again to Shadeen for upgrading my room.

Disappointed. Although staff were polite and friendly, service was slow at reception and bar. Sent a request and received a reply in wrong guest name. Requested bed was not ready. Amenity kit was not there. A shower cap was found next to shoe polishing kit. Slippers still had plastic tag. Not a five star hotel service.

This was my first time in Berlin, and staying at this hotel made my experience even more special. It exceeded my expectations in every way. The location was perfect, just a few minutes from cafes and shops, and right next to the Berlin Dom. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the staff were so kind and friendly. Breakfast wast fantastic. A la carte style. Nice rooms, comfy beds. I really hate the double duvets though. Spa / pool area could be better. Good cleaning and aminities. But there were no sauna rules and it was packing with kids. Web site says no kids after 19 but this was not described anywhere in the sauna.
