Everything was great. I wish parking was included though. The building is great easy access with just the codes.

The check-in was seamless and the property was beautiful. The building was secure with a security guard. We felt safe.

We knew the general area when we booked but it was better than we thought! Parking garage was so close to the front door that we could leave our bikes right on the bike rack at the car and grab them when we wanted to use them. The building has 2 elevators and only about 30 units so there was literally no waiting to get to the 7th floor, or back down again. The conveniences are almost too many to list. Restaurants everywhere in the area with regular American food or every type of ethnic food you can imagine (one of the many great thing about the Midwest towns like Detroit is all of the people who settled there and brought their cuisine from "Home"). There's a grocery store within a block that has everything you could want and when you need a night snack, 7-11 is right in the same building on the 1st floor. The view from the 7th floor was also amazing... the Historic Wayne County Building (built in 1895) is right across the street. The Renaissance Center 2 blocks down to the right, you can even see the Ontario Skyline across the river. I run in the morning and it's a 2 block walk down to the Riverwalk. From there you can head in either direction and go for miles, right along the river. If you're up to it, you can go all the way to Belle Isle and explore one of the few Public Park Islands on an international waterway! It's also a couple of blocks to historic Woodward Avenue. This place is a Gem and to top it off, they've kept it reasonable. Hats off to the owners of this one!!!!

The property is located within walking distance of shopping, dining, and entertainment. While visiting we went to a concert and hockey game at Little Caesar’s Arena. Very quick and easy walk. Also close to the walkway along the river. Apartment had everything that we needed for the weekend. There are several parking garages within two blocks for easy parking. Would recommend this property.

Great property. There is street parking and a paid parking lot next door. We utilized the street parking Saturday - Monday.

The parking structure across the street accepts cards, the parking structure next to it is cash only. They kinda have a weird policy you have to check out your car before 12

Parking lot next door was an adventure as we were locked out waiting for attendant to show up and had to be let in and out by a kind woman from the 7-11:(

Parking was somewhat of an issue. The guy in lot next door to apartment charged us $50 to park from about 8pm to 10am. Plus we had to pick our daughter up from the airport, so my husband went back to talk to parking guy about getting out of fenced locked area at 10:30. I suppose the added cost of parking in a downtown city should be expected. But it would have been difficult to drop off bags and then park somewhere else. The apartment would be best for someone flying into DTW, then ubering or taxiing around or walking once there.

The property check in was convenient, the locked building was great for safety. The location was great. The security guard was a nice feature. The 7-11 next to the building had people loitering in and out of the store (the same people). It was a little disconcerting for a female who was alone, however no one bothered me; I was just unfamiliar with the area. The building was quiet all night and I had a nice view. Overall it was a good stay.

The apartment was very nicely, laid out and comfortable and extremely clean. The kitchen had more than enough supplies for our family of five staying the weekend. The communication between the manager and I was great. They responded very quickly to any text. The location is amazing. I highly suggest parking in the Greek town parking garage just to the left of the apartment building. About a block and a half away. Only cost us $30 for the whole weekend. Was easy to walk to most locations and the people mover was only a block and a half away. The only downfall is that the building needs insulation noise and installation that is. You can hear even a standard conversation that is being held in the hallway inside your apartment. A great bonus is there is a 7-Eleven‘s convenience store right attached to the apartment made it great to get up and walk down and get coffee in the morning. While the kids were still asleep! The location was safe enough that we felt we could leave our two teenage daughters and son alone in the apartment and walk over to the checkers bar on Saturday night for a nightcap. See photo attached The apartment building is the short white apartment building of the photo if you zoom in you can actually see Cadillac Square where the Detroit Christmas tree is and ice rink only two blocks walking. We will be back!

Fabulous, fabulous place to stay! Beautiful interior and immaculately clean. I stayed two days and would definitely stay again in the future. The communications from Kasa were clear and comprehensive. Nice little touches like ear plugs, bottled water and cookies. Right in the heart of downtown Detroit, but I still found it quiet and safe. By far, the best place I stayed on my tour through Michigan.

Room was spotless

The room appeared neat and the bathroom appeared neat but the shower contained a set of false eyelashes on the soap dispensers so it was gross and made me question what had really been cleaned. I have photos if that would be helpful.

There was a used razer left in the shower, and it just looked like it wasn't wiped down in the shower. There was also some silverware that still had hard food stuck on them from previous person, and the actual buildings hallways to the room smelled like a urinal cake, but other than that it was a pleasant stay for us. We spent a lot of our time out exploring the city outside. I would definitely stay here again if we came to that part of Detroit. I just wanted to give you some honest feedback so that maybe you can improve and make it well worth the price you charge.

The studio was spacious and comfortable, however it wasn't very clean. The area around the property is extremely loud on weekends (at night). The 7/11 right next door also attracts a lot of homeless people.

Was not very clean. I found a hospital bracelet from someone who previously stayed there. Dusty. There was a homeless man sitting outside of the door calling me rude names. And I woke up to an awful alarm going off so checked out early because of it not getting taken care of.

Not safe: The rooms don't have deadbolts. One of our rooms had a light with no bulb, just wires hanging out. Some of their outlets aren't secure in the wall; when you plug in a phone charger, the whole wall around the plug caves in. Unorganized: There were 5 of us in our party, 3 experienced huge difficulties with their precheck list, which took a week of back and forth to solve everything. Then when we got there, they had me change rooms about 15 minutes after I unpacked. There's no staff on site: They contract a security company to have a security guard near the front door once in a while... that guard told us about all the same problems that all the guests have, and it never really gets fixed - just trashing the company and the staff (but rightfully so). But because there's no staff on site, when i got into my second room and saw the body lotion was empty, I messaged them and the response said they'd have it to me in 24-48 hours and would not be able to give me a time or let me know in advance when they'd be entering my room. Other small things like the blinds being transparent and letting the sunlight in very early. One of our team was in a room near the 7-11, so their flashing lights were on all night, and no way to block them out. Out of the 5 of us, only 1 had a tv that worked. The only positive things I could say are that the rooms were clean and the towels were nice and soft.

Most amazing view!!!! I will stay here again when I return to Detroit. Perfect location to everything downtown within walking distance. 10/10 service, promptness, and cleanliness.

Appliances like fridge and smart TV are preferred. We also like the white noise machine in the unit. But there is no bath tub and sometimes can hear noises outside.

My television was not working the whole time I was there!

Convenient location, walkable to any restaurants into the stadiums. Comfortable bed.

Pull out mattress was broken. Many things in the room are getting worn down and on the verge of breaking. There were no blankets or pillows for the pullout. None in the supply closet in the hallway where we met several other people also looking. Great location tho. If you are just looking for a place to sleep and be close to all the action, this is still a good choice.

Property is in a wonderful location, walkable to most things. Good option if you are looking for accommodation for a group. The 2 bedrooms were great to have however do not rely on the sofa bed as it is not usable. It has a torn and old mattress and a broken bed frame. The bedding is old and stained and no extra pillows are provided.The unit is a bit run down overall with poor paint, chipped cabinets and a few electrical outlets left bare. The building is older with rough elevators. It does have a security guard in the lobby which was nice as the area is a bit unsafe at night. Plenty of police around for various issues while we were there. One of the most disappointing things was we asked to check out a little bit later and were told it was not possible but shortly after got a text telling us the unit was available until May 6 should we want to extend our stay. It would have been an option to check out 1 hr later obviously, they just were inflexible. I think we would stay somewhere else next time we are in Detroit.

This was a perfect choice for a family stay - enough room for us all to spread out and have some privacy. The laundry amenities came in handy to dry our coats during a winter storm, and the kitchen was nice to have for preparing our own snacks. The hotel is well situated for family adventures, with an arcade across the street and walkable access to sports stadiums and Mom’s Spaghetti. There was a bit of street noise in the night from snowplows. Would definitely stay here again.

The unit is very nice and spacious and close to many locations in downtown. The main problem is that it is very noisy, the windows do not stop the noise. The owners are very nice and provide a noise machine and earplugs, but still even watching TV was hard to hear when a lot of cars are in the street over the weekend.

I'm not a huge complainer, but the first night was harrowing and scary. My check in around 5PM was fine enough, but late that evening, I was locked out of the building for a couple hours bc the code didn't work and there was no security and no one was answering the phone for Kasa. A little background: every single night and day, homeless, drug users, and other people congregated at this corner, so there were a LOT of police lights EVERY night. As I was locked out, I'm unfamiliar with the area and I'm freezing while I'm trying to keep myself safe from whatever had the unhoused people aroused that night. I'm scared, in an unfamilar town, locked out of my building, and there's no one to help. Thankfully an uber driver allowed me to sit in his car for awhile until someone finally walked out of the building hours later, so I could finally go into it. The whole time, I'm on hold with Kasa and their 24/7 availability... NOT TO MENTION THAT IT WAS COLD AS ALL GETOUT!!!! With the wind, the weather was testing every piece of wool in my coat. On top of that, the bed was missing some support. As a woodworker (who's built beds), I felt very unsafe with the slight dip in the bed, evidenced by the lack of support under it. As a result, I just slept on the sides of the bed, avoiding the middle wholly. I honestly liked the place and what it had to offer. I wish I had known to get my own towels, toiletries, cleaning supplies and whatnot, but it wasn't as big a deal as being locked out.

Communication was wonderful. Easy check-in and the property has everything you need for your stay. We will be coming back. You can walk to any game in Detroit and there is so much to do in the area.

The communication was terrific, and the check-in process was very easy. The common areas were clean, and the room itself was perfect. It was also very clean and stocked.

Great location in a great building. But Sonder needs to do a better job at explaining the parking. At least when we went (between Xmas & NYE), there were lots of good parking options besides those they listed, especially because Sonder recommended SpotHero which DOESN'T allow in-and-out access. The other issue is that there's no one on the premises that can get you anything you meet need more of, things like towels, TP, etc. To get that, you have to text with an agent. My extras didn't arrive until 18 hours AFTER I requested. Not okay.

Nutshell: Fantastic space, poor communication The place and space is fantastic: there is so much to do in the area, and it was nicely located for where I was going for work. However, I had some issues with arrival and timing with my colleague, and the online-only system and lack of a real front desk person to contact before arriving was a real disappointment. So much so that I hesitate to stay at Kasa locations if this is the type of customer service they provide.

Stay was great! I truly appreciate the Kasa hotel. I also appreciate the quick response when my key code didn’t work.

Building code did not work. Was on hold for over an hour. No one respond to my message until 4hrs later. Paid for a night, but was stuck outside in the cold. Only wanted to refund $40.

The property was well kept and great location in downtown Detroit. While no staff were present, any needs were addressed very quickly. I will be definitely stay there again.

If things had worked as they were supposed to, this would have been a perfectly fine, reasonably priced option (much cheaper than nearby hotels). But the virtual front desk is not working. We had major issues accessing our room and retrieving our luggage from storage after checkout (a service offered by the building). When we arrived, the door to our room had been bolted and we could not open it with our key code. We called the virtual front desk and they sent someone to fix it in 20 minutes. I don't know what would have happened on a weekend when there was no employee in the building. We then left our bags in the storage room after checking out. Just to make sure, I texted the virtual front desk to confirm that our building+room code would continue to give us access to the building and luggage room after we checked out. I received a response confirming this. But then, when we returned for our bags later in the day, our code of course did NOT work. I texted with the virtual front desk, received an unhelpful response suggesting they did not understand the issue, and was put on hold for 10 minutes when I called the concierge while standing outside the building. We ended up getting our luggage using a code our friends (who also stayed there) had managed to obtain after encountering the same issue. I finally received a text message response from the concierge...2.5 hours later, when we were boarding the plane home.

Great location for downtown Detroit close to everything. Felt comfortable walking around the streets no problems.

Rooms were very nice. Excellent central location in Detroit, close to Hart Plaza, Campus Martius, Woodward shopping, etc. You won’t find a room this nice at their price point. Very satisfied and Kasa is my new place to stay while in town. Thank you, Kasa!

Location was the best.

Family came from Canada to Detroit to watch an NHL. Easy to find as soon as we crossed the border and perfect walking distance to Little Caesar’s Arena. We will be back for a baseball game and football game and stay at this location. Excellent communication throughout

Highly recommend this hotel. It was very easy to find, in the GreenLight district so it’s very safe and in the middle of the downtown so easy to walk to places. It’s close to the Qline. There is plenty of food, entertainment and shops around.
