This hotel met the basic needs. The pool and spa area were nice but the bottom of the pool needs to be painted. Little updates could help and the mattress we had, there was little or no support at the foot of the bed.

The front desk allowed me to park my Can Am Spyder right at the front door under cover. The pool was cool but the hot tub was hot, just what my bones and muscles needed at the end of the day. Stayed here before and will stay here again.

There was plenty of free parking, the hotel was not busy. The hottub was great. I was surprised the "indoor" pool was supported by outside walls the were partially open. The room was cold, so too cold to use the pool. The wall between guest rooms was thin and I could hear my neighbors music, luckily not to late. I had a good sleep and the staff were lovely and efficiant.

Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, central location, lots of free parking; and they were able to accommodate my request for an early check in so I could get ready for the wedding I was in town to attend which was very much appreciated. I’ll definitely stay here again in the future .

Toilet smelled like pee despite looking clean. Bathtub dirty with hair in it. Floor not clean. Sheets wrinkled. Changed rooms and the new room was just as dirty.

I was here for 1 night on business. I asked for a ground floor because of my back injury, no acknowledgement from my reservation request and no elevator or help on check-in. The room coffee maker had debris and dust in it so badly that I couldn't use it. Bed was marginal, and made a lot of noise when moving. The pool was dirty, and had too many bugs floating around in it. (Indoor pool) The floors in hotel are so dirty, the lobby looked to be not vacuumed in months, the stairs were covered with debris and dirt. It desperately needs to be cleaned and steam cleaned or replaced. Maybe my expectations are too high, but I will not reserve here again, nor recommend this facility.

The front staff was super friendly and amazing. Upon entering the room, it looked clean. But when you looked only a little closer, it was obviously filthy. The cleaners did not do a good job. Stains on all the linens and towels. Maybe dont choose white, if your not going to bleach it clean. The drapes had white crusty stuff on them of gawd only knows what. Nothing was wiped down properly in the bathroom. The counter still had evidence of the previous guest. The hot tub was not in commission. The pool looked like there was an unhealthy layer of dirt or mildew in it. No way i would swim in there. All and all disgusting and i will never book there again.

No elevators To second floor!!!Highway out of town was closed the next day with no notice to us at check in. Had mysterious bites on our bodies next day that look like bedbug bites. The toilets are super low off the ground. Dont go here.

The room was a little beat up. It needs a fresh paint job and upgraded bathroom. It was clean. There were only a few other guests there but they had us all grouped together. There was someone above us. The floor was INCREDIBLY noisy and creaky when they moved. There was someone right next to us and we could hear their tv through the wall and snoring in the night. In the afternoon and then the next morning there were voices of little kids heard in the hall playing and squealing. We realized this was coming from a “staff only” door that was ajar across the hall. It must have been kids of the owners/workers. Long story shorter…it wasn’t quiet at all. We mentioned this at checkout and were told that if we had wanted a quiet room we needed to ask for one! I don’t think so! A quiet environment to relax in and sleep in are hardly an extra thing you need to ask for. Very pleasant folks at the desk, but we wouldn’t stay there again.

The staff were very nice The lighting in the room was extremely poor. At night could barely see the words on books that we were reading Not the fault of the staff, but could hear noises from the other rooms very clearly. Must not be soundproofed very well. Sleeping was not good because of the noise

We were on the ground floor and there was a lot of noise people walking around in their room. Also thno noisy of people who were moving around in the early hours of the morning and at night disturbed sleep, huge gap in the side of the door on the room.

My friend and I stayed here for a wedding and had called a cab for a ride to the venue. The cab never showed up and we had no way of making it in time for the ceremony. The manager heard us talking and offered us a ride to the wedding! He went above and beyond. So very nice of him. Would definitely stay here again!

The staff at the property were rude and terrible to deal with. They wanted to charge us for multiple nights due to multiple bookings but we only booked once. They made us check into a 2 bed room instead of 1 and then tried to charge us more for that room. They told us we could cancel our Expedia booking (which we couldn’t). I’m not sure if we’ve been refunded yet

The room was fine - it was clean and newly renovated, as advertised. But our first night there the guests in the room below us partied all night. They were talking and laughing so loud that we didn’t sleep at all. Despite my repeated requests to the night manager to get them to stop (first at 1:30 am and again at 4 am), they carried on until dawn. The following morning I asked the day manager for some recompense and although he apologized, there was no consequence for the partiers and no compensation to me. On my final morning I again explained to the manager that our first night was a waste and he offered a 20% discount on my stay. That was not what I was hoping for, but I agreed. When he put the refund back on my card it showed only a 10% discount. I told him I had agreed to 20% and he apologized saying that the discount could only be 10%. I am an innkeeper myself and would have given my guests a free night.

It was just a quick overnight stay, so I didn’t have a chance to see all the amenities. Just wanted to comment the front desk representative was very helpful, pleasant, and professional. While the room was slightly dated, the bed was comfortable.

The hotel was clean and comfortable the kids enjoyed the pool. We were in town for a hockey tournament, and we understand that can be hectic. However the front desk staff wasn’t very flexible or accommodating. And we were denied a late checkout even though we could see online many rooms were available for incoming guests.

Rooms were good, clean and in good condition. Check in was easy and we were greeted by a very friendly young lady. In the morning when we were checking out I found the battery in our truck had died, but the gentleman at the front desk found a guest that was able to give us a jump start! Great service and very helpful! I would definitely stay here again!

The staff here are wonderful. Very friendly and accommodating. Inside the property is clean and in good condition. Our room was nice and spotlessly clean. The exterior is in need of some sprucing up, but not terrible and may be reflected in the very affordable price. It is conveniently located to the harbour, shopping, and restaurants. Highly recommended for an affordable stay to see the sights in Port Alberni.

This place is solid in customer service and the interior is clean, neat. The bathrooms should start being upgraded to have low flow toilets, and air conditioning is fairly loud, but the room itself is comfortable and clean. The outside needs a bit of an uplift, and it can't help that there are unhoused in the area. But generally it was fine, and I would stay again.

Great stay. Liked the pool and hot tub. Plenty of good parking. Friendly, helpful staff. Room was clean, bed comfortable. Some minor observations…vending machine not filled/working; we were looking forward to the breakfast buffet but it was cancelled due to staff illness. Overall a pleasant stay!

The first impression are not good.Grass and garbage on lot need attention. Lines for parking need to be done.People sitting at front entrance smoking at table.The restaurant is closed on site.The beds are bag in the box.The windows are very dirty in the rooms.

Room itself was fine but it is definitely a party hotel. No breakfast. Not ideal for families or people who want to sleep. Also the room next to ours was being used to turn tricks, and her "customers" were knocking on our door pretty much every hour. So, if that is your scene, this is the place. Otherwise avoid.

We stayed just one night this time, but were pleasantly surprised to find that the restaurant had finally just opened a month earlier for breakfasts, where it was closed during our previous 2 visits last year. We enjoyed a fabulous breakfast, and the chef will specially prepare a variety of foods for breakfast when requested by guests. The food was fresh and delicious and price was very reasonable. We will definitely stay there again!

The hotel was clean and quiet. Pool was average. The breakfast was superb- the two ladies that run it take time to chat and check in. They make everything themselves. It is not your average hotel breakfast it tasted like a home cooked meal.
