El Faro Beach Front by ÓOL Hotels

Fantastisk beliggenhed. Ren Bounty hotel. Det kan simpelthen ikke blive bedre. Og alle restauranter og små købmænd lige rundt om hjørnet. Hotellet var meget spartansk indrettet, og at var i træ. Det var meget charmerende og passede perfekt til stedet. Dog måske lige lidt for spartansk på visse områder. F.eks kunne man godt lige have smækket et par træhylder op på trævæggen ved siden af sengen, så man havde et sted at lægge sine ting, men det er dog petitesser. Kunne også godt have brugt et køleskab til at holde drikkevarerne kolde, men de vidste vi jo, da vibookede værelset. Alt fungerede 100%, der var pænt og rent og sengen var super god. Eneste anke var kvaliteten af deres wifi. Routeren var i deres receptionsvogn udenfor hotellet, og signalet var ikke i nærheden af at kunne nå op på 2. sal, hvor vores værelse lå. Poolområdet foran hotellet blev rengjort og revet hver dag, og der var de skønneste solsenge, hvorfra man enten kunne hoppe i poolen eller gå direkte ud i det skønne varme havvand (26-28 gr). Der var pool/strandhåndklæder på værelset. Personalet var søde og meget imødekommende.

Me encanto la piscina, era muy central a todo y la playa esta en frente el hotel. El dueño que nos atendió era muy amigable y nos ayudo bastante. Lo único que cambiaria era que hacia mucho ruido el bar en frente y una noche habían muchos jovenes haciendo mucho ruido en frente del hotel.

The location of the property is excellent, right on the beach, and very close to the pier where the Whaleshark tours leave from. There was an amazing view of the sunset from our balcony. There are no food options at the property but a good range of restaurants in the vicinity. Beds were comfortable. Internet access was sometimes sketchy. The area around the hotel is home to many bars which play loud music until 2 to 4am in the morning, and the hotels wooden walls are not at all sound proof. So the nights were noisy. Bathrooms are a bit primitive and ours featured a dripping leak through the ceiling from the shower of the room above (found on our last night there and reported to the hotel on checkout). The pool was small and often crowded. Transport access to the hotel was good from the sand street in front.

Merveilleux hotel au bord de la plage. La chambre est bien, le lit est confortable. Vie sur la mer depuis la chambre et balcon. Belle salle de bain. Piscine avec vue sur ma mer. Vraiment très bien! Personnel très souriant et sympathique. Le bruit? Pas un problème car partout vous aurez de la musique. Mais la Lisiane est pas forte autour. Merveilleux lever et coucher de soleil ! Donc en conclusion… hotel idéal pour passer une ou deux nuits a Holbox !

Loved this place. Can’t beat the location and the staff is wonderful. It is right on the beach by some bars and it can be a loud at night. If you want fun, clean, safe, in town, close to everything, and right on the beach this is a fabulous option. If you are looking for fancy and quiet this is not what you are looking for. But we LOVED it and will be back.

We were even able to book a few excursions directly through them, and pickup from the hotel was easy and convenient. On the downside, there’s a bar next door that stays open until 4 a.m. with very loud music, which made it difficult to sleep. We also didn’t have hot water for showering during our stay. We originally tried to book directly with the hotel staff, but they quoted us 1,200 pesos per night. Through Expedia, we were able to book the same room for 800 pesos, which made it a much better value. Overall, if you’re planning to stay out late or don’t mind a simple, conveniently located hotel, this is a solid choice. We’d recommend it for 1–2 nights max.

Excelente ubicación , junto a la playa , tiene alberca , las habitaciones están muy bien ,tienen lo básico pero todo excelente

Location is awesome but you will need earbuds to sleep well. Staff provides world wide service, extremely friendly and accommodating. The pool was really cold so it was nice during the day but not in the evening. This property just needs a bit more of furniture to put your belongings a tv and it will be perfect. Over all highly recommended to experience walking from your bed to the sea, thank you guys for such a great experience.

La habitacion es interesante, a mi me gusto, aunque hay mucho espacio entra la madera y se pueden colar bichitos y mosquitos. Nosotros estuvimos solo una noche, asi que solo vimos alguna que otra pequeña lagartija. El aire acondicionado no daba a basto por el dia, aunque lo poniamos a 16°... pero tampoco nos hemos quedado en la habitacion por el dia. Las vistas estan preciosas, pero por las noches hay mucha fiesta y la musica esta alta hasta la madrugada. Pero en recepcion te ofrecen tapones para los oidos. Bueno, por lo general, a mi me gusto la habitacion,pero no se si podria quedarme alli una semana entera.

Good placement right on the beach but there is a bar very close that play techno music until 4 am.. the hotel staff did offer us earplugs. Lot of ants in the room, asked if the could spray not sure they did it. I used my mosquito spray it help a bit. Rest of hotel was good, Staff very friendly.

The hotel El Faro was absolutely amazing. The location was perfect, right on the side of the ocean. The room was clean, as described, towels exchange upon request, and staff offered to clear the room on a regular basis. Loved our stay. Staff was amazingly helpful and friendly!

The hotel is pretty new Very pretty, beautiful pool area, beach front The rooms have no tables or nightstands no place to put your water bottle, or sit your purse lol… Music will be playing very loud from 3 pm to 4 am. Very very loud Be aware of that !!!! Besides the music and the no tables situation is pretty good… Also no blankets on the bed Only sheets… Jonathan the front desk guy was very nice and helpful.

We didn’t look into the reviews of this hotel before we planned our very last minute trip. We wanted to be near the beach , which is where El Faro is located and is great , but we missed the fact that it is surrounded by LOUD music most of the night . Ample restaurants and shops all around which is also a plus for the location, but the thumping from the beachfront bar was uncalled for, there was never anyone there during the evening. We were a bit confused when the hotel employee asked us if we wanted ear plugs, but we weren’t prepared for the continuous noise. Both from the competing bars but also from the street traffic. The side by sides, motos and general people noise. The rooms are ok. The pictures show “cabin type” rooms which are adorable, but that also means, no insulation and lots of noise. Extremely Hot water is always a bonus Unfortunately the weather leading up to our stay caused the beach to be covered with sea grass and the water wasn’t the beautiful colour it should be, but that’s not the hotel’s fault. Beds and pillows were comfortable. No bedside tables or plugs on one side of the bed. Glad I bring a power bar to plug into the bathroom and it reaches the bedside. If you are young and into staying up all night having fun, this is an option for you. If you are more mature and like to get some sleep, I would find something off the main drag.

The hotel is nice, VERY well located in the heart of Holbox, but with that comes the noise, and gets VERY noisy!! The hotel has a bar in front of it and the party goes on until 4/5am. The room is exactly as you see in the pictures but the hotel is made of wood so you can hear EVERYTHING from the other rooms. Said that, the bed and staff is great and the view is awesome.

La habitación tiene vista al Mar pero hay algunas habitaciones que no se percibe ya que tienen palmeras que impiden puedas tener la vista.

We liked the view from the room and the beach next to the hotel. The hotel is not sound isolated and you can hear your neighbor and you hear all the night bar around the hotel until 3:00 am. You arrive at the hotel and they give you earplug. It’s like going to a restaurant and they offer you anti-vomitive… Really strange. Also they ask you to pay a tax that is not mention anywhere to stay at the hotel but you have a discount if you take the ferry. Also strange. We decide to leave early the hotel and to book an other hotel far from the sound from the downtown.

El hotel está frente a la playa a unos pasos de las letras Holbox y a un lado del muelle, así que hay acceso en lanchas (no por el ferry, pero hay servicios particulares). El personal muy muy amable, servicial y honesto, cuidaron nuestras maletas mientras estábamos en tours. Solicitamos 1 cuarto en primer piso y lo respetaron. Lo único malo/bueno es que está rodeado de bares y restaurantes así que tienes ruido toda la noche (te ofrecen tapones de oído al llegar). Si vas de fiesta es un pro! Pero si necesitas descansar si batallas un poco por el ruido. Las habitaciones son sencillas pero limpias, y la cama super cómoda.

J’ai séjourné dans cet hôtel récemment et l’expérience a été très décevante. Dès la première nuit, j’ai été confronté à un bruit incessant qui a perturbé mon sommeil jusqu’à 7h du matin. Que ce soit des bruits provenant de la ville ou des rues voisines, impossible de trouver le calme nécessaire pour se reposer. De plus, j’ai contacté le personnel pour discuter d’une possible annulation ou compensation pour les nuits précédentes, mais malheureusement, leur réponse a été totalement insatisfaisante. Aucun effort n’a été fait pour résoudre la situation ou pour proposer un geste commercial. Je ne recommande pas cet hôtel à ceux qui recherchent un séjour reposant ou un service client réactif. À éviter si vous êtes sensible au bruit ou si vous attendez un minimum de prise en charge en cas de problème.

Great experience. Lovely staff, incredible beachfront location. Front desk was so helpful booking tours and taxis for us. I loved the old school tropical vibe of the rooms, they feel living in a James Bond novel (though the excellent aircon made me grateful to live in modern times). The (unaffiliated) beach bar out front is really loud, very late, every night, but the hotel can't control them. Overall I really would recommend the hotel, just bring quality earplugs! If I were Oól, I'd look at buying that bar and improving it (the bar is always empty despite having a perfect location.) Great breakfasts at Limulus, a few doors down to the east.

Property is great location and staff so kind but there are noisy bars close. On a sunday night it wasn’t bad but weekend nights can get loud. Also, expedia map has wrong location. It shows the property 2 blocks east of the square …, but it’s not. It’s right off the main pier. My one night stay was lovely though I booked based on an incorrect location which is not the hotel fault but hopefully Expedia cam correct.

Nice beachfront hotel right in the heart of town, if you like to go out and party this is your place since you are next to all the party locations, if you want to relax then choose another property because the bars nearby are very noisy up untill the morning. The rooms are nice and it’s very walkable around

The location of the property is excellent, right on the beach, and very close to the pier where the Whaleshark tours leave from. There was an amazing view of the sunset from our balcony. There are no food options at the property but a good range of restaurants in the vicinity. Beds were comfortable. Internet access was sometimes sketchy. The area around the hotel is home to many bars which play loud music until 2 to 4am in the morning, and the hotels wooden walls are not at all sound proof. So the nights were noisy. Bathrooms are a bit primitive and ours featured a dripping leak through the ceiling from the shower of the room above (found on our last night there and reported to the hotel on checkout). The pool was small and often crowded. Transport access to the hotel was good from the sand street in front.

Está súper bien ubicada. No batallas para nada en tours, transporte o alimentos. Lo que sí es que de noche es difícil dormir por las fiestas que acaban 3 am. Hay mucho ruido. El personal es muy amable. Hay un señor súper cortés que te apoya en todo, lo único que nine gusto es que no te dicen que no limpiaran tu habitación a menos de que lo pidas por seguridad en tus pertenencias. Como no sabía al llegar del tour pues estaba como lo dejamos y es incomodo por la arena, yo barrí. En las noches hay fiesta hasta las casi 3 am y al estar frente a playa pues el ruido es mucho. Pero en realidad por precio y todo se me hace muy buena opción.

Great experience. Lovely staff, incredible beachfront location. Front desk was so helpful booking tours and taxis for us. I loved the old school tropical vibe of the rooms, they feel living in a James Bond novel (though the excellent aircon made me grateful to live in modern times). The (unaffiliated) beach bar out front is really loud, very late, every night, but the hotel can't control them. Overall I really would recommend the hotel, just bring quality earplugs! If I were Oól, I'd look at buying that bar and improving it (the bar is always empty despite having a perfect location.) Great breakfasts at Limulus, a few doors down to the east.
