Hotel is located inside the city walls so it is very old. There is no elevator and room was very small. Room was very clean and had a great shower. Rooms have no A/C. There is no bar or restaurant on site either but they do offer a continental breakfast and offer you eggs if wanted. Convenient parking was available. In the old town everything is walkable so didn’t use the car while in the old town. If staying in old town it was fine.

The property is lovely. Inside city wall, very walkable. We were family of 5 adults on 2 week vacation. Winding narrow staircase, no lift or elevator and our rooms were located on 3rd floor! No assistance with luggage.

Parking was right across the street, 5 minute walk to town center. Owner was very pleasant and helpful. The only negative was that it’s located right next to one off the towers so we heard the traffic which started at 5am, however we did have the window open. We would still highly recommend.

The receptionist was very kind and waited for us even though we were a little late due to heavy traffic on the highway. Google maps got us to the hotel without problem. Mike handled our request to stay an extra night and served the breakfast with friendly humour. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. Parking right across the street. The hotel is inside the city walls and easily walkable to any of the highlights of this fascinating city. Would definitely recommend.

Charming hotel inside the old fortification. Atencious staff and great breakfast. The observation is that my room was in the third floor with stairs and they did not have staff to help with the luggages.

Struttura molto datata, la nostra camera era al terzo piano senza ascensore e con una scala molto scomoda. La camera era pulita ma non ha delle tende oscuranti per cui al mattino presto si è svegliati dalla luce del sole. La zona è ottima perché si è dentro le mura, il Parcheggio dell’hotel è a pagamento molto utile e comodo. Il personale è molto gentile e accogliente.

Good - staff were great and very friendly, great location, good parking availability within the city walls. This hotel is lovely! The rooms are rustic, quiet, and clean, and the hotel staff are lovely! I checked in after hours and the instructions for me to get my room key were clear and easy to follow. The breakfast in the morning was good, the staff was absolutely lovely, and they kindly stored my luggage after check out until I left for my train a few hours later. A great spot!

Definitely made the right choice picking this hotel, an easy flat 10 minute walk from the train station, just inside the city walls, spotlessly clean, comfortable room, bathroom gleaming, heating that actually worked, great staff, would pick this hotel again no problem. A lovely Italian restaurant a couple of doors away if you get sick of German food. Very well located...just pick a street and wander, it's an amazing town

This was an amazing location and property just inside the old town wall. Very clean and comfortable. Plenty of space for our family. Would recommend some anti-slip stickers in the tub/shower, but otherwise everything was exactly what we wanted.

You can't beat the location! It is within the city's walls, and you can walk anywhere from there. The breakfast was excellent. There was even (limited) parking available! The room was small, there's no elevator, and the bed was low (and a little hard for my preference), but overall, it was an amazing stay - and such a beautiful town!

It is a beautiful visit. There was no air conditioning just windows and luckily one fan. The bugs and noise were terrible with the windows open. So we didn’t sleep much but loved the city. Nice staff.

We only speak english but it didn't matter. Mike the host was wonderful. Very hospitable. The entire town spoke enough english to get by. Honestly, great place to stay. We will be going back.. someday. Its a long way from Canada.

Der ankunft schrecklich, gegen 21 Uhr, niemand da, alles dunkel und die Tür zu. Da war auch keine Schild an der Tür mit einer Hilfstelefonnummer. Taxifahrer half uns und konnte durchs internet jemanden kontaktieren, wer sehr unfreundlich hinweisa gab wie die Schlusselkarte an einem automat im HAUS NEBEN AN zu bekommen war. A lovely hotel within reasonable walking distance from the train station, on the Main Street into the old town. Only a short walk to the main square and shops and a great little place to base ourselves for exploring n and around Rothenburg on der Tauber. Breakfast had plenty of options and a lovely bonus was being able to order our eggs freshly cooked. The staff were all friendly and welcoming.
