Holiday Inn Express & Suites Buford - Mall of Georgia by IHG

Very nice place very polite people, clean and fresh smell.every think is new.

The hotel reservation said IHG but we rode past it because it was a Holiday Inn Express. They put a $75 hold on my card that would take 2-3 days to release after leaving. My husband wanted waffles but they had a pancake machine. The coffee machine was not working. One of the elevators was out of order and the other made a lot of noise.

This is probably the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff was always present at the front counter and greeted me when I passed the desk.

Our room and the hotel was clean, quiet and well maintained. Check in and out was quick and easy. Shopping at Mall of Georgia was close by.

Room itself was nice. Bathroom nice and clean - very nice. Staff friendly and pleasant. Breakfast was good, although over the, the 4 days I stayed, bacon was only offered once. Great juice selection. Unfortunately, as nice as all that was, I lost TV reception for over 2 hours - another room also lost their reception. The wonderful, personable Head Engineer (now gone), fixed it after he had to notify some third-party that monitors the system and has complete control of all hotel electronics. Bizaare, but got fixed. MUCH MUCH WORSE was the pathetic wi-fi service. HAHAHHA. Collosal joke. Couldn't do hardly any work from the room (FREE WI-FI! Yeah, that's what it's worth). If you are a business person, forget about this place. I went to McDonalds across Rt. 20 and found lightning-fast free wi-fi. This otherwise attractive-looking property is a MUST STAY AWAY for any business traveler considering trying to email. Or dowbload. Or anything electronic. P-A-T-H-E-T-I-C wi-fi. Enought said. HOTELS.com will certainly stife this review, which is fine, beacuse I've already told hundreds of folks abot my bad wi-fi experience. Clownish upper mgmt

The hotel is BEAUTIFUL; however, my door was not secured with a normal close. I had to slam it (sometimes 2/3 times) for it to click. The police station was across the street and I was on the 4th floor, so I was okay. The cable service was not the best. We reported it and was told because of the weather but the weather was beautiful the next day and the issue persisted. Other than that, esthetic, breakfast, staff, easy walk to the mall and millions of restaurants and andreti was amazing!

Our stay started off with a very pleasant young lady who greeted us as we walked in the door. She was very polite, and very professional, and gave us an attitude of warmth and welcoming. Our room was quite nice, quiet, beds comfortable, bathrooms nice and clean. A very nice stay.

The toilet did not flush after getting a plunger, the TV did not cast or connet at ALL! No one to help. The teens from some sports club were loud every night until midnight after multiple complaints. The floor was filled with pot smells. Kids yelling, coaches yelling. We asked to be moved and they said they had no rooms, we left a night early. I will never stay again in a GA Holiday Inn express. The students always and the people always in these properties are smoking pot and it is just awful. In addition to this in Buford GA you have two properties and the address I received was to a property that was boarded up. We had to search for what was the new property and were relieved at 11:00 PM after going to it only to experience the above. We want a refund for our stay since every night was awful which effected each day we needed to function on our days. What a mess you have on your hands there as the staff can do nothing because we booked through expedia of which I will NEVER do again. Staff said that they had no ability to help. We asked that the manager email on 5/7-May 8th of which they did not. We asked the manager call us 5/8-5/9, of which he never did. We asked the manager to call 5/9. He did not and they again pointed to the information that Expedia bookings must be taken up with Expedia and could do NOTHING! Wow! This is awful. No management, no help, not change, I DEMAND A Refund from 5/7-5/10 and we were told we woudl not be charged for 5/10 by Valeria.

We stayed in Atlanta on Mall of Georgia Blvd. Great location! We were pleasantly surprised by how nice the room was. The hotel seems new -- clean, tasteful decor, and spacious. Service was wonderful. We were there 2 nights and were surprised that they brought fresh towels for day 2 and emptied trash baskets etc. Seems since covid that kind of service evaporated from most hotels and never came back. A/C worked great and not noisy. Everything was spot on!! And price and location were outstanding.

I can’t say enough positive about this hotel. If more stars were available it would have received them. The property was very clean and well appointed, but more importantly the staff was 5 star. Everyone you met was friendly and professional. They greeted you with a smile and a real desire to be of assistance. More hotels could learn from this. No, it may not be a Ritz-Carlton but the staff made you feel like you were in one. Kudos to Holiday Inn Express and Suites for making this stay a most enjoyable one.

Ok , but we stayed two days these day close to chk out we got a knock on our door which at first I didn’t hear but the hotel manager came into out room in announced start asking about the luggage dolly we kept over night apparently we didn’t know it had to be returned at chk in cause we had never had they problem before so he came in and ask for it saying I was charged 100 for keeping in cause there was a small sticker on it stateing that but I did not see it but my wife was in bed not dressed but under the cover my issue was they could have called our room the first night or in the morning to ask us if we had it but they didn’t sec he should have just waited at the door until I brought it to him and didn’t bother to apologize for walking in unannounced so we definitely will not be staying here again

Ask for a late checkout through the tv and was never contacted. Also tried calling the front desk no one would answer. Then a manager knocked on our door and we said we’ve reached out with no response and she abruptly said “I have no more late checkouts I can give you till 12:00”. It was 11:45 at the time

As located on a boulevard it is normally a crowded area but it was very convenient for as with such a great varity of stores for shopping,meet our relatives and enjoy a lunch at a restaurant to celebrate a family event.We were pleased we choose this hotel for our short visit and stay.

The staff was courteous and very kind. The breakfast in the morning was really great. The rooms were very clean and in a good area.

Y’all need to serve potato’s daily those where bomb (breakfast). More coffee options in the machine if possible. If possible more seating for breakfast

Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was mediocre but better than the Elements we stayed at in Chattanooga.
