We had a deluxe room, which was quite large and included a sofa, coffee table, desk, two chairs, lots of room to spare, as well as a fine view of the beach and sea. Everything worked as expected and the bed was comfortable. The carpet in the room and outside hallways was a bit worn, but clean. We arrived by car and had difficulty finding out where to park - some advance guidance would have been helpful. In the end, we parked in a modern parking garage around the corner, which was fine, once we found it. The hotel location is outstanding and the service was excellent. All told, a very good experience.

The bar was nice and the bar tender was great. The front desk staff are friendly and very helpful. The brekfast choices were amazing. I will highly recommend yhis hotel to all I know.

I really liked the outside seating area which is served by a bar all through the day. Everything in Nice is easily reachable, especially if you like walking. The 'Line 2' tram is quite nearby, and that makes airport transfers very easy indeed as the line runs parallel to Promenade Des Anglais for a considerable stretch. The room was very comfortable, and the view of the sea excellent from my 4th floor room. The floors and walls are also very solid, so I noticed almost no sound at all from other guests. On the less favourable side, there is no proper reading light next to the bed, and the decor is a little tired generally throughout the hotel. The wifi is pretty poor - it was weak and often cut out. There are also no guest facilities other than the bar. Overall though I found the stay really enjoyable as the staff were very friendly and welcoming, and there is plenty to do outside of the hotel. Recommended for a really pleasant stay!!

We really enjoyed our stay here. It is a charming hotel in the best possible location for visiting Nice. The condition was slightly run down, especially the carpeting, and the beds are VERY firm. The room was big enough, as was the bathroom. Incredibly view from our sea-view balcony, overlooking the Promenade. Some music noise at night until around 11, which was annoying. No laundry facilities or laundry service on weekends, but there are plenty nearby. So much to do and see right outside the door. No valet or self parking - but there is a very convenient public lot on the same block. Will definitely consider staying here when we come back to Nice.

Outstanding location! We paid a little more for a room with a terrace and view of the beach/promenade and it was well worth it! The staff were very friendly and helpful. We parked in a garage around the corner.

The petite dejuener was good. The location is great for walking and biking the promenade and exploring street restaurants, bars, the market and the beach area without needing a car. Bike rentals are nearby. I rented an ebike from a bike shop acouple of blocks down for 30 euros for the day and rode it to Antebes and back with no problems. The parking is offsite and expensive. I paid 100 euros for the convenience for 2 days around the corner but there are some slightly cheaper options I was told.

Das Zimmer der höchsten Kategorie des Hotels bietet eine herrliche Aussicht auf das Meer und die Promenade. Das Zimmer betreffend Einrichtung und Zustand ist sehr heruntergekommen. Im Badezimmer Schimmelbildung und Probleme des Wasserablaufs - nach dem Duschen stand das Bad „unter Wasser“. Der Reinigungsstatus war dürftig. Es überzeugte einzig die Lage und die Aussicht - allerdings für einen überhöhten Übernachtungspreis!

Good view. Nice balcony but the lock on the doors was loose and flimsy. Bed was ok but a bit on the firmer side. Size of room was excellent and the water pressure and air conditioning worked well. Shower grout was a bit moldy and there were some stains on the carpet. Fridge, safe, tv and towel warmer all fine. A very comfortable stay overall, but the hotel should address the items listed above.

Our room was a mess when we checked in - garbage on the floor, hair on the floor, on the towels, in the bathroom. We had to call the manager to get it cleaned. They offered us breakfast as a "sorry" but breakfast was awful as well. It would be a great property if they renovated it.

Staff very helpful and friendly. Good selection of breakfast. Beds very comfortable, with rooms providing much needed air conditioning and a safe for important belongings. Only cons would be that the hotel wi-fi hardly ever worked. The signal in all areas of the hotel, not just the room, was extremely weak. We also had a plug socket jutting out of the wall, which we avoided for safety reasons, so some maintenance issues. There was also cleaning of marble stairwell with wet mop, but no warning sign to make guests aware of slippery floor, and I did very nearly slip over. On the whole, we were happy with our stay here. Nice is a beautiful place to explore and enjoy the café culture.

Stunning views, large room, comfortable bed, but above all, very friendly, helpful and polite staff. Easy access from the airport on the bus that stops right in front of the hotel. The beach is 20 meters away. Highly recommended!

We only had breakfast in the hotel once and it was more than adequate: scrambled and soft boiled eggs, bacon, sausage and ham slices, fruit, yogurt, breads, coffee machine for different types. There was a special four day event on the beach near the hotel that played thumping Euro music until 2:30am so I would check for events before booking. The only bad thing was that the room above us had a balcony and they would smoke on that and drop ashes and cigarette butts down onto our chairs and towels which is forbidden. However, though we reported it to the front desk every day, it continued for six days. The front desk personnel are wimps.

Great view of ocean and Nice esplanade. Lovely room and service, however the mattress was far too firm. This made for an uncomfortable nights sleep for 2 nights. The buffet breakfast was fantastic. Great variety. Hotel is in good location for cafes & o but a fair walk to old town and harbour. 20-30 minute walk up to top of hill for fabulous views.

Staff was very nice, friendly and helpful… loved the location. Across street from the see, walking distance to city center, all restaurants, shops, cafes and old town. No need to take tram or drive if staying in NICE…. Can take uber, or tram visiting neighboring towns. Highly recommend this place. Will stay here for next visit

**Extremely Disappointing Stay – Do Not Recommend** This hotel was nothing like the description or photos online. The property is old, dirty, and badly in need of updates. When we arrived, water was dripping from the awning, the steps were cracked, and the front desk looked chipped, worn out, and unwelcoming. The hallways were dark and smelled musty, with filthy, stained carpets. I booked a room with a **balcony** — the main reason I chose this hotel. The next day, the balcony was closed for “repairs” and never reopened during our 5-day stay. I was promised an update by email, but it never came. Instead, I was told I would only get €60 back per room because I “still had a sea view.” I did not book a sea view — I booked a balcony. Service was poor. No one offered help with luggage, the staff was rude. One night, we returned before midnight and found all doors locked — we had to knock and ring several times before someone finally let us in. Totally unacceptable and unsafe. The reviews and listing online were misleading and do not reflect reality. Avoid this hotel until it has been properly renovated and staff have been trained to treat guests with professionalism.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, right on the promenade and a 15-minute walk to the train station. The staff was very friendly and helpful and made our stay enjoyable. The only downside was that the carpet in room 403 was very dirty, stained, and old and really needs to be replaced.

We enjoyed the the general ambiance of your hotel. Unfortunately, your steadfast policy of a 3pm , and no earlier check-in is insensitive and non consumer friendly. My wife and I arrived mid morning and your staff was rather unsympathetic about the fact that we had a very early flight. We slept and rested on your couch for a few hours before leaving for lunch. We noticed another couple sleeping from around 9 am to 3 pm - not an attractive feature for a hotel. Being more flexible and understanding of travelers' uncontrollable flight times and weariness from traveling would go a long way. For a hotel that tries to show class, does not demonstrate it with its lack of empathy and flexibility when considering it's clients. We left at 3:30 am. Are you telling me that our room could not be ready for weary travelers for almost 12 hours!! We travel many times a year and although most hotels have a similar policy, if a room is available the vast majority try their best to accommodate their clients. Thank you.

Excellent location, lovely hotel on the promenade. A 10 - 15 minute walk to the train station. Highly recommended! The only things I would suggest to change would be more storage for clothes, just 7 coat hangers for two of is staying a week, we did ask for more which the hotel reception did supply. No iron or ironing board in the room. Ironing "room" was on the third floor by the lift but it certainly needed a makeover. It was damp with a filthy ironing board and a open window with a potential fall 3 floors down into the centre of the hotel. Not very safe at all and it should be locked surely?! Otherwise, a fabulous hotel. Friendly staff.

We loved that this property is located right across the street from the waterfront and promenade! There are plenty of restaurants close-by. We did hear music at night from a local bar - until about 1:30AM. An early check-in wasn't available. Lunch service and quality of food is excellent. Carpet in the room was well worn. Location from airport is about 15-20 minute drive.

Great view of ocean and Nice esplanade. Lovely room and service, however the mattress was far too firm. This made for an uncomfortable nights sleep for 2 nights. The buffet breakfast was fantastic. Great variety. Hotel is in good location for cafes & o but a fair walk to old town and harbour. 20-30 minute walk up to top of hill for fabulous views.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A brilliant beachfront location close to the Old Town. The room was lovely, very comfortable, and amazing view. Breakfast was of good quality. Staff were excellent. The hotel location was perfect! Across from the Promenade, a block from our morning cafe latte & chocolate croissant. Our room faced the city (actually another building) which was very quiet & appreciated. The check-in staff was very friendly, helpful (my son had a bad cold, she helped us find a Chemist that was open on Sunday). They could not have been nicer. We took the #12 bus to/from the airport - so easy! Drops you off 2 min. from the hotel. Restaurants everywhere - the beach across the street, the train is a 12min walk, straight back from the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay her again!! Thank you to all the Le Royal Team!!

Hotel was decent - but not what i expected. Room was clean. Overalll building needs some TLC. Its a bit dated compared to the online images. Breakfast was the worst i had in any country and any hotel I've been too. Views from pur sea facing room were amazing.

Receptionist members of staff and breakfast waiter were first rate - thank you. The room was lovely and fabulous balcony but would say bed far too hard. Housekeeping excellent. Breakfast very poor unfortunately! Machine coffee and poor food selection overall with bad presentation. There is absolutely no excuse for all the sliced tomatoes, cucumbers and fruit to be old & mushy!! I asked for fresh produce but was brought equally poor choice. Bread & pastries ok-ish but come on - we are in France! I would define not book this hotel with breakfast - go to the good cafes nearby.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Hotel Vacances Bleues Le Royal. Our room overlooking the Promenade had great beds, a large bathroom and was quiet. Street noise diminished quickly after 9pm, so not a problem. Really good breakfast buffet. We would definitely stay here again if we make it back to Nice.

This hotel was incredible! I splurged for a balcony room and I couldn’t be happier. Gorgeous, convenient, safe, large room especially by European standards and with incredible views of the Mediterranean, I will absolutely be back on my next trip!! I couldn’t have asked for better room or hotel!
