Cape Town Lodge Hotel

El personal del hotel es muy amable pero las instalaciones no son buenas; el ascensor un día estuvo fuera de servicio y las habitaciones no son muy cómodas. A las 6am te despierta una sirena de la mezquita del frente.

Sehr kleiner Pool mit 5 Liegen und keine Handtücher. Keine Poolbar.

The property was great, clean, quiet, had a nice pool and sun tanning area. Excellent restaurant and all staff were very accomodating. I highly recomend.

Great hotel Superd value. Stayed 7 nights. Great location in city centre. Easy access to many restaurants, shops & attractions! Even has a liquor store and laundry shop adjacent to hotel! Although located opposite BoKaap, we felt safe in the surrounding area. Condition was superd. Nice clean rooms & toilets. Full bar in fridge. Outstanding house keeping! Although parking was R100 per day, it was well worth it. Bright and safe secure parking with many attendants. Breakfast was 5 star! Good quality and variety! And it’s free with the rooms! Read many positive reviews about this Hotel before booking!!!!! And they’re all true. Very good. Highly recommended for your stay in Cape Town.

Das Zimmer in der 9. Etage war super. Allerdings führt nur einer von zwei Fahrstühlen nach oben in Etage 9 und 10. Daher hatten wir ewig lange Wartezeiten mehrfach täglich. Gegenüber des Hotels liegt eine Moschee. Die Gesänge und Gebete werden über Mikrofone beschallt, sodass man bis nachts daran teilhaben kann (muss). Leider war das Zimmer im Allgemeinen sehr hellhörig. Nachts im Bett konnte man genau hören, wann jemand zurück in sein Zimmer kam und wann der Fahrstuhl die Türen schloss. Nach der täglichen Reinigung werden leider immer alle Lichter angemacht bzw. angelassen. Ein unnötiger Stromverbrauch und absolut nervig. Leider wurden auch mehrfach die benutzen Handtücher mitgenommen, ohne neue dazulassen. Die Decken sind zu groß für das Bett, sodass ein Teil immer hinten herunterfällt. Nachts dann immer wieder die Decke hochziehen zu müssen, stört mit der Zeit erheblich den Schlaf. Das Frühstück war sehr abwechslungsreich, ausgewogen, gesund und lecker. Alles in allem ein gutes Hotel, toller Service und gute Zimmer. Leider mit einigen Makeln.

Great bang for your buck. I liked the music entertainment in the supper club area but the restaurant food 2 stars. The breafast buffet needs more food for non meat eaters/vegetarians ie: salads.

We had a king size suite, pool and courtyard was right outside our door. Everything was clean and tidy, bar and restaurant were excellent. Great location

I booked this hotel specifically because of the rooftop pool.. but it was a disappointment, it was more top floor (surrounded by rooms) but and not in the sun from mid-afternoon. My keycard also stopped working on few occasions, whicwas a mild

Great place to stay, spotless room, great service, warm welcoming and very helpful staff.

The building is outdated, poorly maintained, and has an unpleasant odor. The staff is rude and unprofessional, collecting a security deposit at check-in and charging for everything they can—guests, water, and overpriced laundry. To refund your deposit, they demand your full credit card details, including the CVV, which feels extremely shady. Avoid staying here.

This Hotel is great value for what it provides and where it is located. It is very central to everything in the city and major sightseeing - close to shopping and many eateries. The rooms are very clean and spacious and the entire property is well maintained. The staff overall are friendly and helpful especially the in the Breakfast room. The breakfast could be more exciting especially when it comes to pasties

This felt like a much more expensive hotel compared to what I paid for a room!! The room was clean, huge, with great amenities. The staff at breakfast were SO KIND! All of the staff were wonderful. I would absolutely stay here again the next time I'm in Cape Town.

This hotel is located in a center of the Cape Town and easy driving access to any of the tourist attraction. Lobby receptionist was very nice and polite and professional even it said she was still in training. It was a large room and very comfortable. View of the Table Mountains from the room window was also great. Staff at the breakfast restaurant was all great, very friendly to our 2 and half year old daughter. We would like to visit this hotel again.

My second stay in this hotel - once again I found the room and facilities to be excellent supported by lovely staff. One minor suggestion: the TV in the room is tiny and located 7m from the bed. A larger format screen would be appreciated.

Zimmer war gut, nur auf der Seite einer sehr lauten Baustelle. Wegen einer Nacht wollten wir nicht ins andere Zimmer umziehen. Die Hotelleitung war nicht kooperativ und hat es nicht eingesehen, wegen Lärmbelästigung den Zimmerpreis als Kompensation für den Lärm etwas zu reduzieren.

Tive uma excelente estadia, a equipe no geral é muito amigável, receptiva. O quarto grande e aconchegante. Banheiro espaçoso, e com chuveiro bom. Internet funcionava bem em todos os pontos. Excelente localização, 3 quadras da long street, do Green Market. E a 10, 12 reais de Uber do V A Waterfornt. Deslocamento fácil para todos os lugares. O café da manhã é bem gostoso e acolhedor. Com itens essenciais para um bom café. E aqui eu destaco o Sanelisevive. Que funcionário espetacular! Nos recebia super bem todos os dias. Preparava nosso café com muito carinho. Este é daqueles que amam o que faz, que se sentem bem em fazer isso. Um brilho bom de se ver! Parabéns! Destaco também a Nomsa, que fez o nosso checkin. Maravilhosa! Super paciente e carinhosa durante toda a estadia, nos ajudando sempre e acolhedora Pontos Negativos: Na reserva eu havia comprado e reafirmado um quarto com 2 camas. Que foi confirmado pela equipe na resposta a reserva, porém quando cheguei estava em um quarto com uma cama de casal. Trocamos de quarto 2 vezes, e ambos na mesma forma. Preferimos voltar ao 1º, e nos foi dito que seria ajustado no dia seguinte, porém não foi. 2º Ponto: achei o hotel pouco flexível com relação a late checkout. Este é as 11 e assim teve de ser feito. Ao questionar a recepcionista no checkout, ela me deu uma resposta firme de que se ficasse além das 11, teria de pagar 400 rands. E que acima de 4 horas, a diária completa. Achei que ela poderia ter sido mais amigável na resposta.

Room is quite old , no iron facilities in the room.

The room was very comfortable and nicely appointed with newly renovated bathroom. Bed was very comfortable. Tea making area with sink provided, combined with the wardrobe was neat and convenient but could do with a light above it. TV is tiny for the size of the room. Minibar provided was adequately supplied but overpriced. Breakfast was more than adequate with a large variety of selections and I did note variety over several days.

I can't sleep because of door nose other room. No quite room people talking middle of night. Reception staff no good

Big manager knocked at my door every time I used the minibar. I don't think they can do this with every customer. Truly absurd given how trivial the minibar amounts were and given the thousands of dollars I had spent at the hotel, I found this behavior Pathetic.

Big white Afrikaaner guy on reception needs to turn down his passive aggressive attitude to being challenged on hotel policy around deposits. He lords it over the rest of the black staff around him and thinks he can do the same with paying guests. This hotel is charging a deposit to guests credit cards not as a shadow charge but as a full charge. Then when you are leaving they want the card number, expiry date and CVV number with which anyone could charge to your card. Banks, and I work for one clearly tell you not to give people this detail is all that’s needed to charge your account. Once you give them the detail they then tell you it will take 5 to 7 days for the refund to reach your account. information's. What this hotel should be doing is putting a shadow transaction on your account, then removing it in the day you leave. What’s probably happened in the past is people have disputed charges and banks have sided with customers so now they charge the full deposit. It’s a risk for every guest that these details fall into the wrong hands. For this reason and the attitude of the only white guy at reception I won’t be staying again, and advise any tourists to steer clear if you don’t want fraudulent transactions appearing any time after you’ve stayed here.

No one helped me with my bags even after I asked - I had to put down 400 zar deposit in cash which I didn’t know about and didn’t have - over all it was cute but I never felt welcomed at all it would have been nice to have the same service perhaps as someone who looks white

I only booked this hotel because I needed a place to stay after checking out of my Airbnb since it had an early morning checkout and my flight didn't leave until 9:00 PM. I figured I'd just walk the CBD for an hour then come back to the room to rest before catching my flight. Upon arrival, I asked the guy at the front desk the address because my Uber driver wasn't sure he had dropped us off at the correct location. Instead of providing me with the address, he asked me what address I was looking for. I told him that I just needed to know the address. Not in a very pleasant manner, he continued to question me! Strike one! Upon checking out of the hotel, the lady at the front desk called someone via walkie-talkie to check my room while I stood there. She literally had me stand there while they checked the room, as if I was walking away with a television or had left a dead body in there! I asked if this was normal because I had never endured such upon checking out of a hotel. She lied yes. After receiving a report all was well, she then took my room key. I have NEVER in my life been treated like a wanted suspect at a hotel! These people need better training! They work in hospitality, but were not very hospitable AT ALL!!! I don't know if I was treated this way because of the color of my skin or what, but I will NEVER book another room at this hotel. I will also tell everyone I know to NEVER book a room at this hotel. UNACCEPTABLE and they should both be better trained or fired!!!

Check in ok but check out process very poor. At this srate per night I would have expected at least drinking water in the room.

Booked this hotel two hours before needing to stay the day after Christmas. Check in was super easy. All front desk staff were friendly and helpful - to the point where the manager (I think) tried to hail us a taxi and when that didn't work arranged transportation for us in the hotel van to our restaurant on NYE. Everything was clean, great location to everything. Felt completely safe. Would book again every time

Cape Town Lodge and Hotel is highly recommended!!! Excellent service, very clean, ambiance is great, and convenient to shopping, rides, and walking distance to tourist sites. Their sit down restaurant, The Famous Butchers Grill is superb😋 And to top it all, very reasonable accommodation.
