The hotel made a very strong first impression – modern, elegant, and seemingly new. Renovation work was ongoing, with a temporary entrance and reception, which caused some noise, but the staff were extremely polite and solution-oriented. Check-in was moved to the Executive Lounge and handled professionally. We stayed on the Executive Floor on the 19th floor and received a spacious room with a separate bedroom, living area, large bathroom, and stunning views over Ho Chi Minh City. As a family of two adults and two children, the main bed worked well, but an extra bed came at a high additional cost, and the family booking setup felt somewhat unclear. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide international selection and fresh cooking stations. Facilities such as the gym, sauna, steam room, and pool area were all high quality. The outdoor pool area with a lawn and herb garden felt like a peaceful oasis in the middle of the city. The hotel restaurant Basilico served good food but was hard to locate. The New Year’s Eve dinner was overpriced for the quality, and the italian restaurant chefs attention felt uneven and disappointing. The biggest downside was New Year’s Eve: hotel guests were required to pay a high entrance fee to access outdoor areas (gras lawn with finest view), the same as external guests – including children. Initially, we were also denied the ability to order drinks by the pool. This left an unnecessary negative impression on an otherwise very good hotel stay.

Stayed in their 2 bedrooms for 2 weeks for a long vacation visiting family. Impeccable service , staff very well trained and will go above and beyond-with a smile. Great complimentary breakfast buffet with some of their items changing daily. Room a little dated but clean and hotel is at convenience location. Best bang for your buck as room is really huge for hochiminh standard .The hotel connected to a small mall with plenty of restaurants and a convenient store. Everything is perfect except for the spa. One constructive criticism : why on earth they use bath towel instead of sheet for massage table and face rest. I booked a spa session , the spa is looking nice enough , but there’s no welcome drink pre massage which is fine , no essential oil burner to give out the spa like’s smell, that’s fine. But when I got to the treatment room ( which was very nicely build and decorated ) their massage table was one of those from the foot massage place , the face rest is a hole on the table ( not detachable and adjustable ) and the table is lined with rough bath towel and so does the face rest. Why on earth would you do that at a 5 star hotel ‘s spa ? The spa is a money maker for your revenue too , traveler usually spend upward 2-3 hundreds USD per visit but I feel like it been neglected by the hotel. I know, I’m whining about the spa, lol, first world problem. But I love this hotel so much and hope they could improve in that department so my next stay I can give it another try.

Stay here every year when I come back to visit the motherland. Service is always impeccable. Sheets feel like butter and room get turn down twice daily. Their buffet is to die for ( kudos to the executive chef and F&B manager ) Room is really huge with full size kitchen plus island and very reasonable priced. Will give their spa one more try this weekend when I come back from my beach trip. Last time I was there they use bath tower as massage table sheet , it give the most uncomfortable feel ever to lay on and I did put a review in, hopefully it changed. For a 5 star hotel’s spa it was screaming foot massage vibe ! First world problem haha. Other than that everything is perfect as usual. I pick this one over the Reverie any day !

2 bedroom balcony apartment is very spacious, with washer /dryer and beautiful view of the city. Hotel is a little far from cho ben thành though- about a 20 min walk in very hot and humid weather. Staff very nice and respectful. Breakfast buffet- a large variety of foods.

I booked us into the JW suites/apartments rather than the hotel which is my mistake. The apartment we had was nice but lacked charm and some basic amenities. There wasn't any artwork on the walls. Just gray walls, gray furniture, gray floors. It was a very blank and drab space. We did have a balcony though and that was really nice. The kitchen did not have any towels, sponges, napkins, or soap so you can't wash or clean any of the dishes. When they brought up room service, they don't bring silverware so you have to use the silverware provided but there's no way to clean it up afterwards. I had to buy some disposable wash cloths in the store in the lobby. there is a lot within walking distance of this hotel. It's very centrally located. The staff was friendly and helpful though and all in all we had a nice stay.

I'm a Platinum Marriott Bonvoy member, eligible for automatic upgrades. At the JW Marriott Saigon, I was invited to check in at the executive lounge. I'd paid my room charges in advance, & was still asked for an unreasonble amount of a deposit considering my Bonvoy status and my short stay. As I was leaving to go to my room, I was called back and told that, because I'd made the reservation on Expedia, I "did not qualify" for the upgrade or access to the lounge. Incredible! The rate was the same on Expedia as on the Marriott website. Even though I'm a Platinum member, I was 'disqualified' because I booked through Expedia. When I asked for a manager, one came online & confirmed what the reception person had said, 'disqualified'. I'd traveled over 30 hours from Indiana to Vietnam &, at 71 years of age, I was tired, frustrated, & embarrassed. I asked for the key to my standard room and I left. Later that day I submitted a complaine to Marriott online, but received no reply. I checked-out on 19 January, paid for laundry and room service I'd used which was not nearly close to the deposit taken on my VISA card. I was told the deposit would be credited back to my VISA card in 3 to 4 business days. Now 11 days since, and no credit to my card. 2 requests to fix this have led nowhere. Marriott has now lost a longtime customer. I'll use ACCOR hotels from now on for my 10~12 business trips a year to Asia.

Our stay at the JW Marriott Hotel and Suites in Saigon was outstanding, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice! A special thank you goes to Chau, the front desk manager, whose professionalism and friendliness were truly top-notch. She quickly addressed the issues we had with our room, assisted us in extending our stay by an extra day, and even helped arrange our airport transportation. Marriott is very lucky to have her taking care of guests—she made our stay seamless and stress-free. We also want to express our gratitude to Van and Ronaldo, who came to our aid upon arrival when we encountered an issue with an airport taxi driver trying to change the fare. They stepped in immediately, calmed the situation, and handled everything with professionalism and care. Their assistance set a wonderful tone for our entire visit. The location of the hotel was excellent, and the dining experience exceeded our expectations. We especially enjoyed the Seafood Night buffet on Thursday, which was an incredible bargain for the amazing variety of choices offered. Overall, our experience was nothing short of exceptional. Highly recommended, and we are already looking forward to returning to this property on our next trip to Saigon.

Great location and excellent service. It was my birthday and the hotel went way and beyond and surprised me with a birthday goodie with a nice card wishing a great stay and birthday wishes. Great staff from the second we stepped onto the property. They're customer service and hospitality is above and beyond! There were little things I've noticed that made our stay feel safe at all times. The outside staff was always aware. I was inside making change with the front desk while my wife was outside waiting to pickup food delivery. I saw her near the street talking to the delivery guys and in an earshot away, i noticed the outside staff was right there assuring her safety but not being intrusive. The entire team did not disappoint. Besides the great rooms and accommodations, i really wanted to highlight the staff at this property. They make the stay that much more enjoyable!

This is a great hotel. Clean spacious rooms. Staff were brilliant, nothing too much for them to organising transport or information about the city, bar staff even remembered what wine we liked each night. Breakfast has got to be one of the best I have had and only 20 dollars. Not the cheapest of hotels but still good value for money
