The Aveiro Center Hotel is conveniently located near the center of the city. Just around the corner you can visit the city with the typical boats (gondolas). Booking is possible at the hotel reception at 14€ (19.07.2026). The city center of Aveiro is magical (a few marvellous Art Nouveau houses). Excellent fish restaurants & bars. The hotel rooms are rather small with tiny shower area. We had three rooms but airconditioning in 1 room was not working. We could move to another room. To be honest, this hotel was not the best choice compared to the hotels we booked in Porto, Coimbra and Lisbon. On the positive side, the breakfast was very good (fresh orange juice, a choice of soja drinks, fresh pancakes….) and the reception staff was really helpful.

Would recommend this accommodation. Full time desk (many places we have stayed here in Portugal have desks staffed intermittently with customers needing to rely on access codes which do not always consistently arrive via email or text). Clean room. AC seems to be good though not really tested that much in our stay (+ we were on 1st floor [Euro: 0 floor].
