Our stay was even better than I expected. The hotel has a very central location, a good price and, most importantly, genuinely good service. Many hotels in tourist cities rely on their location and let service become secondary, but that was definitely not the case here. The beds were comfortable, everything was very clean, and the cleaning staff were particularly lovely. Everyone we interacted with was helpful and welcoming. I noticed some critical comments about breakfast in hotel reviews and think these should be understood in the context of Turkish breakfast culture :) We are simply used to a high standard and a lot of variety, so our expectations can naturally be different. With that in mind, I actually thought the breakfast here was quite good, with a decent selection of cheese, vegetables, cold cuts, fruit and pastries. We only had breakfast once as we wanted to explore the city, but I enjoyed it, and the coffee was good too. Two small things to mention. Our room had very little daylight as it overlooked an internal courtyard. This was fine for us, as I had requested a quiet room, and it actually worked perfectly for our toddler’s naps. Still, it would be nice to let guests know beforehand. Also, our room was cold whenever we returned, and it took some time to reach a comfortable temperature (September). I think the part where we stayed was an extension to the main bulding. Central temperature control could be better in this area. Overall, we would definitely come back.
