Avaliação do Hotel Taypikala Cusco – Bom, mas não chega a quatro estrelas O Hotel Taypikala Cusco tem uma ótima localização, a apenas 100 metros do sítio arqueológico Qoricancha (Convento de São Domingo) e cerca de 600 metros da Plaza de Armas, o que facilita muito o deslocamento a pé para os principais pontos turísticos da cidade. O atendimento é bom e o staff é educado e atencioso, mas não chega a uma nota 10. O principal problema do hotel é a falta de estrutura compatível com um quatro estrelas. Metade do prédio tem elevador, e a outra metade não tem, o que é um ponto negativo importante, especialmente para quem está nos primeiros dias em Cusco e ainda se adaptando à altitude. Eu havia solicitado um quarto na parte com elevador, mas no retorno de Machu Picchu fomos informados de que não havia disponibilidade. Recebemos um upgrade de quarto, porém no segundo andar e sem elevador. Como meu marido tem 78 anos e o hotel estava lotado, tivemos que aceitar. Depois ofereceram um quarto no primeiro andar, mas preferimos ficar, já organizados. O quarto é amplo, com banheira de imersão, chuveiro excelente, boa cama e espaço para malas. O café da manhã é bom, mas sem variedade: apenas dois pratos quentes por dia (como ovos, quinoa, macarrão), frutas frescas e iogurtes simples, 1 tipo de pão e 1 tipo de bolo,só. Há apenas duas funcionárias atendendo, e em um dos dias o salão ficou caótico — faltou comida, copos e mesas. No geral, foi uma estadia boa, com pontos positivos e negativo.

Ótima localização quarto grande, cama boa, banho bom, café da manhã farto, equipe atenciosa e muito gentil. Observações importantes. Sem elevador, andares superiores só por escadas, e o carro não pode parar na porta do hotel, o que dificulta um pouco descarregar a bagagem.

Quaint, great restaurant, staff kind and courteous, location was easy for pick up.

In general, the Taypikala hotel was good, there were only two details that particularly caught my attention: 1.- The absence of a soap disk in the bathroom. 2.- And the most important, the 6 days we were staying we had problems with the Internet connection, it became super slow or fell down especially at night. We were able to extend our stay 2 more days, thanks to the reservation staff.

The hotel is old. The stay was mostly decent, but the wifi was basically nonexistent. Very frustrating in this day and age when internet connection is essential.

Great location, super well located. A few things to note; no true AC or heater. Only a space heater, you can’t open the windows because of the mosquitos, WiFi not the best on the second floor or in general. Overall, I still highly recommended it, just don’t expect to much. But it did the job¡

O hotel é antigo, não tem elevador, o chuveiro fica mal posicionado no box e acaba molhando o banheiro, o café da manhã é bom, mas nada de mais.

I was thoroughly impressed with everything regarding this property It is in a great location to the Plaza, shopping, and restaurant while still having been far enough away that it was not in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the main square. The room was extremely clean and all of the hotel staff was very helpful while friendly. I will recommend this hotel to anyone Io know coming to Cusco.

We loved our stay here! The hotel is close to Plaza de Armas and other historic sites. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast.

The hotel was very clean and service was excellent. We had a wonderful view of Cusco from our window. Breakfast was great too. People very helpful at front desk.

We had a dead fly and two moving larvae in our unit. Even after we addressed the problem, it wasn’t resolved - only when we addressed it the second time. Also, the bathroom isn’t in the best shape anymore - there is a crack in the tub and the water is floating out on the floor. Apart from these mentioned incidents the stay was enjoyable, especially since the hotel is located in the city center. The breakfast was okay, I feel a little like mass production and I am not sure about the hygiene standards after the larvae incident in our room. But maybe it was just misperception because it tasted good and we didn’t have any problems.

Our room was quiet and roomy for 3 people. Not many hotels have daily service after the pandemic, but Taypikala does. So we walked in a clean and tidy room every day after our activities. The front desk was helpful, we stored our luggages twice in the hotel. The full breakfast was excellent: the omlette station, hot food, cheese,ham, bread and rolls, cereal, and especially a variety of fruits. Not many hotels' breakfast can beat the choices of fruits offered by Taypikala. The hotel's restaurant served delicious food, and good service as well. The location is also excellent. It's so close to the Plaza de Armas, and Saint Pedro Market. We toured Cusco just on our feet.

Lobby is nice but rooms are very dated and the whole place has fluorescent lighting and needs some upkeep. There is a restaurant but it is pretty average and breakfast is a lot of packaged items.

Comfortable sleep. Was not used to a front door of a hotel being locked as we arrived after 1 am and worried we were not going to be able to check in. However after knocking and waiting a few moments we were admitted and check in was good. We were given an extra hour for checkout as the checkout is early (9:00). Nice space to sit downstairs as you wait to continue your travels.

Great location, very nice staff, super clean. Room was not soundproofed as indicated (perhaps because it was on the side not yet renovated?), so noise from the hallway was bothersome. Checkout time is very early—9am—which seems somewhat odd.

Very comfortable hotel, excellent friendly staff, no issues communicating in English, great breakfast buffet, great location - about 10 min walk to the historic Cusco downtown square. Clean, spacious, and comfortable rooms. Thank you for providing a heater for the room. Will have no hesitation recommending this hotel to fellow travelers.

My stay exceeded expectations. Pros: Heater and heavy blanket in room, great shower pressure with hot water, filtered water station, coco tea immediately available, saw people getting supplemental O2, decent breakfast - scrambled eggs, omelette station, orange juice was amazing, will make a small lunch bag if you miss breakfast Cons: It’s an older building and the eggs were sometimes runny - that’s literally my only complaint Middle of the their winter and I was as comfortable as I could be. Would 100% stay here again.

Great staff, friendly and helpful, but the room furniture is old and uncomfortable, rooms needs an update.

A great hotel in Cusco on a very quiet neighborhood about 10 min walking from the main square. The breakfast was included. The room was very comfortable, quiet and clean.

(In my case, around 9pm) it doesn't get hot and comes out warm. This stay in Cusco was perfectly located. Extremely close to the center and walkable to most places. The hotel was extremely accommodating, even setting up taxi services as needed. The only drawback was that the restaurant wasn’t particularly good, which was surprising because all food I ate in Peru was amazing. However it’s still a great place to stay with cozy beds, quiet, and great service.

Quarto confortável e banheiro limpo. Bom café da manhã. Pequeno problema no check-in (não localizavam o pagamento), mas rapidamente resolvido. Na ultima noite faltou agua quente. Após os funcionários resolverem o problema a água fi ou somente morna. Aquecedor com mal contato, desligando a noite. Mas me hospedaria novamente.

Wonderfully welcoming hotel, clean and we had the room set up daily so we could have dry towels. The desk staff were very helpful during a health related issue. The breakfast was delicious. The added bonus was a kettle in the room to make tea. Hotel is within easy walking distance of the Plaza de Armas. Would definitely stay there again if I ever go back to Cusco

I will rate my experience as 5 stars. Staff were very friendly, professional. Restaurent at hotel was great. My tickets to machupichu was cancelled while we were in Machupicchu. Hotel staff were kind enough to arrange a room in Taypikala Machupicchu with less than half the price.

The staff was FANTASTIC! There was always someone at the lobby, 24/7 and everyone was always smiling and willing to help. The rooms were clean, the beds were cozy and warm (with an extra blanket!), the wifi was quite good, although there were moments it wasn’t loading. The hotel was very well located! It was near the main square and many restaurants. The breakfast was quite complete, I just wish there had been a few more gluten free options, but there were a few good options to pick from:) Also the staff packed us a breakfast for when our excursion left at 4am, which was so kind of them! I unfortunately suffered from altitude sickness and the staff was very understanding and helpful, they instantly called over a doctor and when I was sick again the next day, they provided an oxygen tank. I am really appreciative of their help and kindness:) Overall, the staff is what makes Taypikala so wonderful:)

Our room was quiet and roomy for 3 people. Not many hotels have daily service after the pandemic, but Taypikala does. So we walked in a clean and tidy room every day after our activities. The front desk was helpful, we stored our luggages twice in the hotel. The full breakfast was excellent: the omlette station, hot food, cheese,ham, bread and rolls, cereal, and especially a variety of fruits. Not many hotels' breakfast can beat the choices of fruits offered by Taypikala. The hotel's restaurant served delicious food, and good service as well. The location is also excellent. It's so close to the Plaza de Armas, and Saint Pedro Market. We toured Cusco just on our feet.

Front desk staff amazing. Went above and beyond to help answer all questions and magically got me a room early even though they were completely full.

Buen hotel con buen servicio, personal atento. La ubicación si es un poco escondida y el acceso es limitado por ser una calle cerrada para efectos de transporte para llegar hasta la puerta del hotel.

Es una buena opción de hotel, uno de los inconvenientes que tiene es su ubicación ya que se encuentra en una calle cerrada y hay que bajar, literalmente la calle ya que es una subida, para poder buscar un transporte. Los carros grandes no suben por la ubicación del hotel. Salvo estos detalles, está muy cerca del dentro y a una cuadra del Qorikancha

Great location! Quite for good sleep and convenient for shopping and getting to all the historical places in Cusco. Beds were comfortable. Rooms clean. Great hotel. And the restaurant on site had great healthy food choices. Breakfast in the morning was nice and the coffee was excellent!

Hotel Taypikala had a great location, just minutes walking to anything we wanted to go to in the Historical City Center. It was clean and comfortable. The breakfasts had a lot of options, from the typical continental Peruvian breakfast to hot options and even an omelet station. They gave us box breakfasts for an early morning tour and were accommodating with a later check out. We would stay there again.

Very nice hotel with an excellent restaurant. Hotel was clean and quiet and walking distance to food and shopping.
