Everything was great except the room was way too warm. It was late October but the heat was already on and could not be turned off. Hot air was still blowing out from the vent even though it was turned off. We asked the front desk and they said it could only be turned off by them. Both of us could not sleep because the room was too warm and stuffy.

The check-in process was easy, and our room was beautiful and spacious. We also appreciated the great size of the bathroom and the fantastic water pressure in the shower. It is a lovely hotel, and we will be sad to leave.

Wonderful and clean hotel with old-world charm. The location was convenient to Odori Park, Nijo Market, the tour bus pickup point and it was located in a quiet neighborhood. The only confusion was the pick-up location at the hotel. What we thought was the front of the hotel was actually the side of the hotel so a photo sent by our driver helped.

Room dated. Stayed 2N. First night room has no air cond. At 2.30am, got up to open the window. Staff extremely rude. Staff ushered a guest to the reception while I was in line to be the next one ie staff Jump Q in the reception. Staff spoke limited English. Public bath on 14F has foreign object on the bottom of the pool. So didn't get to try out the onsen on the second day morning. Overall, I prefer Sapporo Hotel by Granbell for staff politeness, casual and easy check-in, comfortable guest lounge, comfortable and trendy room, breakfast buffet acceptable for two mornings.
