Perren is near the train station, easy walking distance. The staff was exceptional friendly and helpful, not just the receptionists, but the housekeeping, maintenance, dining staff. All were helpful and always had a smile on their face. I had a small single room, but the bed was comfortable, the bathroom big enough for a tub, and I had a nice balcony overlooking the city, unfortunately not on the side where the Matterhorn was. The restaurant attached to the hotel was also exceptional. The quality, presentation, and taste of the food were so good that we went twice in our five night stay. This is Zermatt where there are many, many highly rated restaurants. I strongly recommend the rack of lamb, superb and huge portions.

I’ve been to Perren on multiple occasions. Great experience as always. But there are 2 things that I wish would return back to how they were: 1) The open-plan ski room was better: the lockers do not any value since they do not have a lock but just take space. It is very inconvenient to put a snowboard in. 2) Breakfast was better before. I really liked the selection of dried meats and an option to make soft-boiled eggs which are now gone. The selection of tees improved.

Great location, beautiful property, wonderful balcony with view of Matterhorn. Lovely breakfast every morning . no AC which is common in Switzerland. If you sleep with the balcony doors open it’s breezy at night, but the sound of river is fairly loud so you are light sleeper That might be a problem . Overall we loved it. We would stay here again. They also have a ping-pong table and a game room and an honor system, snacks, and alcohol section in the lobby

Close to everything, yet just far enough away from the maddening crowd. 3 minutes from the Gornergrat ski-train, and only 1 minute from the Funicular to Sunnegga. They have their own electric in-town taxi that can pick you up right at the train station from Tasch. Staff was VERY helpful.

Das Hotel liegt sehr nahe der Sunegga Bahn. Das Hotel Wellness war sehr entspannend und der Fitnessraum war eine wunderbare Überraschung: Ein Rack, verschiedene gute Maschinen, Hanteln mit mehreren Gewichten. Das Checkout war sehr flexibel. Nach der Zimmerabgabe konnte ich am Morgen noch ein paar Skirunden drehen und in aller Ruhe duschen und umkleiden vor der Weiterreise.

Stongly recommend the Hotel Perren. Conveniently located 5 minutes walk to everything, very spacious rooms, perfectly quiet, amazing breakfast buffet, spa, access to a nearby fitness center, restaurant on premise and very helpful staff. They even have a cozy area with foosball and family games. So glad I chose this hotel!

Very clean, up-to-date and tastefully decorated hotel. We had a problem with the internet in our original room, so they moved us to a different room where it was fine. The included breakfast was outstanding. All of the front desk staff we dealt with were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

The hotel has very big rooms and amazing breakfast with a lot of options. However for the expensiveness of the room you would expect at least some toiletries and a mini bar or a water kettle to heat water. Also there should be a bathtub mat for safety.Our safety box never worked, and there was a random plastic box lid lying in the room that in 3 days of stay never was picked up by the cleaning staff.

The hotel is close to train station and popular spots for taking great photos with Matterhorn. We booked a room with a balcony with Matterhorn view. The room is spacious and neat. Staff is super friendly and helpful. There are numerous breakfast choices which are tasty and fresh. However, there is currently construction work outside the hotel that there is some noise during daytime. Luckily the impact to enjoy the stunning view is minimal. I will highly recommend choosing Alpine Hotel Perren for your stay.

This was stop three for us and the whole point of our trip, to give the Matterhorn view to my daughter for her birthday and it definitely was THE BEST! Beautiful hotel, beautiful room and fantastic view! Restaurant beautiful, breakfast unbelievable and decor very classy! Bus stop right across the street and at night the babbling stream (with our balcony doors open) was soothing and relaxing! Would definitely stay here again!

I really loved this hotel. It was trendy, close to the train station, and had a delicious breakfast. The elevator on my side of the hotel was out when I was there, but the porter lugged my bags up for me. The room itself was small but the balcony with Mountain View and bathroom with soaker tub made up for the lack of space. My only wish was a shuttle ride to the train stop. The staff were very nice and welcoming!

Ich komme seit 45 Jahren nach Zermatt. Habe seit 15 Jahren die Gästeehrung von Zermatt. Habe in den 45 Jahren noch nie etwas für den Transfer ins Hotel zahlen müssen. Die Ausrede bei einer Buchung über Hotels.com sei der Transfer nicht inklusive ist lächerlich. Dann ist das Personal bei Frühstück lausig. Zudem fehlt beim Frühstück ein Koch für frische Eiserspeisen. Bei Zimmerpreisen gegen SFr. 400.- muss dies sein. Es fehlt das Typische Walliserbrot. Zudem wischt der Service die Brotresten einfach auf den Boden. Abgetischt während dem Essen wird nicht. 1 Std. vor dem Ende des Frühstücks wird der hindere Teil des Esssaals einfach nicht mehr aufgetischt.

Staff there wasnt as friendly. Not sure is it because we are asian. Requested for a higher floor for a better view way ahead but was given the lowest level instead. Breakfast food was not bad even though it was mainly the standard breakfast food. Was a 10 mins walk to the main station. If you require a drive from the hotel to train station need to pay for it as well.

Loved the location of this property on a side street away from the busy main street but also very convenient from the train station and Gornergrat Railway. Also right next to the river with gorgeous views of the Matterhorn. Breakfast was fantastic. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and clean. Will definitely stay again!

Very nice and cozy hotel, close to the city center, yet in quite area. Room is comfortable and clean. Hotel stuff is very kind and efficient, and breakfast excellent !! definitively my favorite hotel in Zermatt !

Room was cosy and cabin like, clean and surprisingly spacious! The staff in the lobby were absolutely lovely and really helpful. Also a great location! 10minutes walk from the main station and high street.

Very nice in a modest, rustic alps way. Great location, minutes from ski rental, lifts, train and Zermatt town center. Very clean and if you are lucky enough to have Matterhorn view with balcony (i did) you have one of the best views in all of Zermatt. Staff are very nice and helpful. On our 2 week tour of Alps, Paris and Venice (including our 4 nights at 5 star Hilton Stucky) this was our favorite destination, a large part due to this hotel! thank you Hotel Perren

Close to everything, yet just far enough away from the maddening crowd. 3 minutes from the Gornergrat ski-train, and only 1 minute from the Funicular to Sunnegga. They have their own electric in-town taxi that can pick you up right at the train station from Tasch. Staff was VERY helpful.

Ich komme seit 45 Jahren nach Zermatt. Habe seit 15 Jahren die Gästeehrung von Zermatt. Habe in den 45 Jahren noch nie etwas für den Transfer ins Hotel zahlen müssen. Die Ausrede bei einer Buchung über Hotels.com sei der Transfer nicht inklusive ist lächerlich. Dann ist das Personal bei Frühstück lausig. Zudem fehlt beim Frühstück ein Koch für frische Eiserspeisen. Bei Zimmerpreisen gegen SFr. 400.- muss dies sein. Es fehlt das Typische Walliserbrot. Zudem wischt der Service die Brotresten einfach auf den Boden. Abgetischt während dem Essen wird nicht. 1 Std. vor dem Ende des Frühstücks wird der hindere Teil des Esssaals einfach nicht mehr aufgetischt.

Perren is near the train station, easy walking distance. The staff was exceptional friendly and helpful, not just the receptionists, but the housekeeping, maintenance, dining staff. All were helpful and always had a smile on their face. I had a small single room, but the bed was comfortable, the bathroom big enough for a tub, and I had a nice balcony overlooking the city, unfortunately not on the side where the Matterhorn was. The restaurant attached to the hotel was also exceptional. The quality, presentation, and taste of the food were so good that we went twice in our five night stay. This is Zermatt where there are many, many highly rated restaurants. I strongly recommend the rack of lamb, superb and huge portions.

I’ve been to Perren on multiple occasions. Great experience as always. But there are 2 things that I wish would return back to how they were: 1) The open-plan ski room was better: the lockers do not any value since they do not have a lock but just take space. It is very inconvenient to put a snowboard in. 2) Breakfast was better before. I really liked the selection of dried meats and an option to make soft-boiled eggs which are now gone. The selection of tees improved.

Hotel Perren is an amazing gem with an outstanding view of the Matterhorn if you can get a room with the Mountain View. It is close to the stations for gonergrat and Klein Matterhorn/Glacier Paradise. The rooms are clean, and the staff is friendly. The breakfast is small but the quality is excellent! The croissants are so fresh and the Schaere coffee machine makes amazing cappuccino and latte drinks with real Swiss milk. The Zermatt water is so refreshing and energizing, and it just starts every right! Highly recommended!

Superb room/property. Well located within village with close proximity to all shops/stores. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. Breakfast buffet is outstanding with many choices in elegant room. Next to Maddervisp River. Our room had a balcony with two chairs and table with direct view of the Matterhorn!

Very clean, up-to-date and tastefully decorated hotel. We had a problem with the internet in our original room, so they moved us to a different room where it was fine. The included breakfast was outstanding. All of the front desk staff we dealt with were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Ótima localização e pessoal prestativo e que se esforça para te atender bem. Café da manhã excelente, com boa variedade de alimentos e tudo de ótima qualidade e sabor. É o ponto alto do hotel. A cama e travesseiros poderiam ser mais confortáveis e faltou um esclarecimento melhor sobre o serviço de transporte da estação até o hotel.

Hervorzuheben ist das reichhaltige Frühstücksbuffet, die gute Lage des Hotels und die bequemen Matratzen und Kissen. Joao war sehr hilfsbereit bei der An- und Abreise
