The property is undergoing a major renovation and it's remarkable how well they've done during the process. Rooms are spacious and clean, albeit some items are dated...but all functional. Check-in/check-out easy and efficient and Shoeless Joes Restaurant is a major plus. Common bathrooms on the first floor need significant work and need to be better maintained. I'm certain that when the work is done, my rating will be a straight 5! I have been coming to this hotel for almost 6 years on a regular basis and will continue to do so on all future trips to the area.

Be aware the “free shuttle” for a 3 mile radius is subject to availability. They have a contact with an airline and they take precedence. It only works if staff and if not already doing runs for the airlines

Was greeted warmly by staff and given a very delicious warm cookie. This Double Tree didn't have a hot tub but you can walk across the street and use the one at their sister hotel which is cool. I don't know if the hotel is still under renovation or not but it's definitely "in transition". The elevators work fine but are kind of janky. One is missing the floor number two button. The other elevator the floor display up top looked to be punched or kicked out. The ice machine on the second floor is out of order. Inside my room was very clean and gave great views of the pool. The sliding door for the bathroom didn't work well. I thought I might be stuck a few times lol. There were signs near the elevator talking about the problems with the television. If it pixelated or froze you should call the front desk and they would send someone to fix it. When I inquired about it they didn't have anybody on call. No matter, I went to the Shoeless Joe for a beer and food. Very nice bartender. I and a friend had a pitcher of beer, a French dip and fire cracker shrimp. The French dip was beyond bland not even any cheese. The aus jus didn't taste like anything. The fire cracker shrimp was good! They held on to my bag after checkout so I could visit a few shops near by. I would say as long as you aren't going to spend a ton of time in the hotel this is a good place to stay. Very clean and attentive service.

Either change the television viewing back to a dedicated service or fox the internet problem. No television is not enjoyable. Very low water pressure for the shower. One working elevator is not ideal.

I travel to the Fort Myers area for work and I have stayed at multiple hotels in the area. But I always to stay at this hotel besause of the location to restaurants and stores. So, I was excited at the chance to at this property but my excitement was brief. Because I was disappointed by the outdated decor, furniture and other room furnishings. To top it off, I found a roach in my bathroom and when I informed the front desk TWICE, they responded with just a 'thanks for letting us know.' It wasn't until I told the third person the situation that the lady offered me a change of room and free breakfast coupons. I did appreciate the gesture, until I was told which room they moved me to, the room next to my original room! I'm quite sure a pest infestation is not avoided by moving to an adjacent, while the maintenance personel spray pesticides. So to say I was disappointed in my stay, is an understatement. I will not be returning to this property. And since I travel so much, I have gotten to know the Southwest Airlines flight crews and noticed that they stay at this property. I will let them know of my findings at the propertt as well.

The bathroom floor was quite dirty especially I. The corners which was a deterrent. The barn style door is a poor choice, offers little privacy and the translucency of the panel meant the whole hotel room lit up if someone needed the bathroom during the night.

When I pulled up to the hotel I felt that I had made a mistake because it looked slightly neglected. Check in was a breeze and the staff was super friendly. Upon entering the room I was greeted by a damp almost mildew like smell. Since we were not going to be there for more than 12 hours it wasn’t worth the hassle to try to change rooms because I had a sense that it would be the same. There weren’t any washcloths so we asked housekeeping who was next door and she wanted to “check for herself” before providing us towels. The room has a huge TV however the cable service was spotty and kept freezing. I always travel with my Amazon firestick but because the tv has an old remote I was in able to change the input to watch the firestick. The best part of the stay was the super comfy bed!

There was a window missing on our floor by elevator. A few pieces of plastic were taped together with masking tape attempting to cover the opening. This was blowing and actually almost fell on my one day. The restaurant was under construction and it was very loud. Our room smelled like mildew and the air conditioner wasn’t working properly. It was hot and muggy in our room.

Upon check in, we were greeted by a courteous team member and were pleasantly surprised by the updated lobby compared to the worn down exterior of the hotel. Unfortunately, we had a lot of issues once we reached our room. The barn door slider for the bathroom wouldn't fully shut due to hinges on the closet banging into the door. The air conditioner loudly squealed when turned on and had to be replaced with another unit. The next day, THAT unit stopped working while we were out, and we came back that night to a hot room. Again, someone came to fix it and ended up having us switch rooms after 10:00PM because it couldn't be fixed. We were moved to another room that had the same hinge to bathroom door issue and this time the bathtub filled with water when showering and took forever to drain. Since we were leaving the next morning, we just gave up because the only person who tried to make it right was the maintennance engineer. The front desk was non-plussed that night when I tried to explain this was the second issue in 24 hours nor the next morning at check out which makes me wonder if these types of issues happen more than ocassionally.

Toilet was shut off prior to arrival. Found when turned on it kept running. Shut it off after each use. Had to completely enter the shower to turn the water on for the shower head. Sliding door close to valve wouldn’t open, didn’t want to force it so you had a nice shot of cold water turning on the shower. Staff was friendly restaurant was good

The only thing we would not give 5 stars is that the room does not have a streaming service, there is cable tv only, but we through big hotels like Hilton/ Double tree would have a streaming service like Netflix in the room.

The hotel is a tad outdated. It wasn’t awful but the photos make it look newer and nicer than it is. The room still operated with the old AC units and the TV had Dish Network- not the upgraded smart TV. My room specifically had a musty smell to it.

Everything about the hotel was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was spacious with everything you could want and more (even had a microwave which you could buy food for in the lobby). Breakfast was really good and great value for money. We were even given water and warm cookies as we checked out

The airport shuttle is not exactly what they portray. It isn’t in an exact schedule. It doesn’t even go to the airport hourly. Staff wasn’t super friendly. There was no information given on check in about the hotel like where the pool is or fitness center.

The hotel was excellent! After Expedia did not send our reservation to the hotel, the night manager Jay helped us with our booking. The other front desk associate provided us with the Expedia help number (which is not so easy to find) so that we could get our reservation corrected. The staff at this hotel is great!

Remodeling was being done, which I understand. There was no shampoo, asked for some...never got it. Room service did not refill towels, they just took the dirty ones...no refill for water when we used the kurig. My husband went to the front desk wondering about the towels. I was in the room waiting for his return. When he got back to the room, there was a trash bag hanging on the door nob with towels and water...no knock at the door? Best thing was the breakfast at Shoeless Joes...I understand the remodeling is inconvenient to everybody...customer service should have been over the top for minor things.

the front desk completely messed up my reservation. I was checked in to another person’s reservation that was canceled. My own reservation that i had made was put as a “no show” and I got put into the wrong room. They ended up locking my room because that reservation that we were checked in was for one night only and we were staying for two nights. I had to pay for another night and I was charged for the no show reservation and the wrong reservation. After my check out the lady helped me and voided the charges.

After a long day of cancelled flights we needed an overnight stay as they cancelled our flight until the next morning. We were left scrambling for a hotel and how to get to the hotel. We rushed out and found a shuttle going back to this hotel and she said she could take us but had to wait for some pilots and would take like 15mins. I cant remember her name but she was AMAZING in helping us get booked and back to the hotel. Hotel was ready for us and checked in after a couple mins and had us setup for a shuttle back to airport in morning. The shuttle, hotel staff were absolutely amazing! 5+ stars!!!

Some of the ice machines were out of service and there was construction work being done inside starting early morning. Nice facilities and amazing staff. Breakfast buffet is not included... It's a $15 per person charge.

The hotel was under construction, this wasn't advertised so no breakfast on site. The coffee in the rooms was horrible everyone was using the filter coffee provided downstairs. The pub attached seems to be some sort of locals social club, which is fine, but not when you have to wait for the bar staff to loudly finish whatever conversation before acknowledgement it was a bit uncomfortable.

Overall it was fine, just fine. Room felt damp and the hotel needs some maintenance. Looks like it used to be a nice hotel and has not been kept up to date. But our stay was quiet, and staff was all nice. Bummer you have to pay so much for breakfast. A family of 4 at $15 each is a lot for what you're getting for free at other hotels.

Hotel convenient to family, staff nice hotel clean however, upon arrival at 7 PM we had to switch rooms as the AC cover was on the floor and two fans were running in the room. Manager Jay was horrified, but moved me to another room right away! Food at restaurant however it was horrible. Had to go down to the hotel restaurant to order takeout because they refused to answer the phone. The food made me sick! Please know that I have several rooms reserved for a celebration at the end of next month hoping things will be better than!
