Old school hotel in Myrtle beach. I was here for business. If, like me, you need to be in North Myrtle Beach, it’s not a good location. Traffic is bad in the area and it’s 21 miles and an hour to get to the north. Parking at Paradise is awkward, get there early or you will be parking across the street. Check in was uninspiring. The big guy was generic like I was checking into a truck stop. The good news is that everyone I met after was friendly and engaging. Housekeeping might have been the nicest people I ever met and the lady at checkout was sweet and friendly. The room was a great location with a great view. The hotel is in the beach and have plenty of activities, which I couldn’t participate, due to the business nature of my trip. Due to location, I’m not sure I’d stay again

Rooms were great, kitchen was stocked with cookware and utensils. It was very handy to have a washer and dryer right in the room. View was beautiful in an oceanfront room. Staff was polite and helpful. Tiki bar was great. Breakfast bar was so so. Wi fi wasnt great

We had a great time. Very clean, friendly staff, good vending available on several floors. Indoor and outdoor heated pools. Jacuzzi and heated lazy river. Will be back!

It was nice and I liked how they had a dj, karaoke Thursday Friday and Saturday. The tiki bar was also great and the bartender was very nice to us and made great drinks! Being right in the beach is always an easy and relaxing time walking to it.

Right on the beach which was beautiful. Room and stairwells could have been cleaner! Fun pool area with bar and DJ’z and fun activities. Nice free parking between the garage and lots.

The property was under construction when we got there. No use of outdoor pool, it was empty and covered with a tarp. They were painting the outside of the hotel, sanding the balconies (hence it was closed to our room) for two days. They painted the indoor pool area, wet paint, had to be cautious and it smelled. The outdoor patio was closed, restaurant as well. The only restaurant was open for breakfast and 7-10am. Sometimes opened for lunch, not advertised! Did not have water for a few hours on the Wednesday. Communication was terrible. Nothing was online about any of this and worse yet, never mentioned any of this at check in.

Property location and beach is great but there was construction going on. They originally gave us a room that we didn’t reserve and we thought we got upgraded. Turns out the construction crew was right outside our balcony and we couldn’t sit out because of the debris falling. Floors were gritty inside the room like it hadn’t been cleaned. We stayed in that room for 1 night and then asked for a different room which they accommodated. New room needed to be upgraded and it was dirty too. We asked the cleaning service to please clean the floors and they did not. Pool was also closed due to construction and when we booked they did not advise anything. Also, in the lobby there is someone pushing promotional stuff for Wyndham Resorts.

I was very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The property is extremely old and poorly maintained. The housekeeping service was minimal – all they did was replace towels and empty the garbage. They did not clean the room, vacuum, or even change the sheets during my stay. The air conditioner was extremely loud, making it almost impossible to sleep. On top of that, the balcony door lock was broken, which made me feel unsafe since I couldn’t secure the room properly. The only positive was that the outside of the hotel was clean and well-kept, but unfortunately, that does not make up for the poor conditions inside. Overall, this hotel did not meet my expectations at all.

Upon arrival I noticed a ring around the tub and also noticed faint spots on the wall and the bathroom had a weird smell once we showered that night I noticed the black mold spots start to appear and a residue from im assuming the spray they sprayed appeared on the wall on day 2 the spots were more noticeable and I did bring it to the front desk’s attention I’ve never had a bad experience until now this is normally my go to hotel because of the convenient location beach access and good food along with good vibes and this hotel has everything at one location but for the money you pay this was clearly not ok and the mold need to be treated before it make some sick

I would love to be able to submit pictures of my room which I took before I checked out. It was absolutely filthy. There was smudge marks of dirt and I don't know what on the walls, the mirror and shower were not cleaned from previous. The stove face was filthy and cracked, the microwave was cracked, the refrigerator was dented and dirty on the side, the bottom of the dishwasher frame was broken and dirty. The furniture was gross, worn and dirty, the tables were worn down, there were cheese its in the door frame of the door to the outside deck left from the previous people and the floors were not clean. The woman who checked us in was rude and barely said anything. The hallways were dirty and the pool was shut down the second day we were there. There were clothes and toys thrown everywhere in the inside pool area and the entire place was dirty. I would never recommend nor stay here again. I understand it a busy time of year, but cleanliness is something that is controlled and does not need maintenance. The marks on the wall of food and dirt in my mind are completely unacceptable and the condition of the appliances are as well. The amount of money I paid for one night does not justify the condition of these items. The entire 4th floor smelled of weed. The one storage room off of the parking garage was so dirty and unkept I was shocked. I am disgusted and disappointed.

Our stay was nice. The floors of our room were dirty as I had black feet from walking barefoot on them. There was no dish soap for washing dishes. Otherwise, The employees were excellent, accommodating and friendly. We will be back

I have stayed there for 7 nights . I liked a size of my room and the property being right on the beach. Also the bar by the pool was good with tasty meals and super friendly bartenders. I think the cleanliness both in the room and outside on the property was really poor. No housekeeping even when I requested it. Had issues with internet connection that was eventually fixed by the internet provider. I don’t think I will stay there again in the future.

The room stinks so bad , it should be non smoking room but probably somebody who lived there before us smoked , and not original cigarets but some CBD things , and we can’t breathe in the room , and were forced to be outside as long as we could. We told about that on reception , and housekeeper did spray two times but it didn’t help at all. So we asked to change the room , but we were only 2 nights so they didn’t let us change it . Overall is ok. But it probably were our first and last time to staying there .

When we went to our room, the beds were made, but the beds were dirty. There was trash beside the small refrigerator. We left the room went straight back to the office unsure of whether we were going to have to drive back home or not. we spoke to the manager who is very nice. She got on the phone and found us another room in which we stayed.

Although this property is older, it was well maintained and the units/rooms were updated since my last stay there 10 years ago. Staff was very friendly. Check in was smooth. My grandkids enjoyed every bit of the lazy river tubing, the 4 outdoor pools, and the easily accessible beach. The fully equipped kitchen was also a plus!! We hit up the local Walmart and saved some $$ by not eating out much. Rates were fantastic also. Definitely would stay there again!!

It was nice having the place be right on the water, but our room was not great. There were things from the people before us still in the room and it smelt pretty terrible. We also didn’t know that we had an adjoining room and the people beside us kept trying to open the door.

Nice location with a balcony and sunrise view. Beach was right outside of the rear if the hotel. The room was clean and kitchen adequately stocked. Washer and dryer was a nice extra. Unfortunately, the balcony door would not open again after it was locked for the night. It was not locked upon entering the room. Early morning sunrise on the balcony was not possible. The in room phone was completely dead, though plugged in, so, not convenient to call front desk for questions, information and help.

The hotel staff was very responsive when first checked-in and when I had to move rooms due to a smoke-filled room. The second room was fine, but appliances were old and damaged. The door to the mechanicals was off-track, handle of the microwave was cracked, the bathtub/shower drain was horribly clogged, refrigerator was rusted/dented and baseboards were damaged with half there. The room itself was okay (no smell of smoke) and very roomy with a nice balcony. The pool was murky, and I wouldn\'t go in. The karaoke was incredibly loud, but seemed fun to those that participated. Our suite was in a "cove" are so running up/down hallway and loud voices were not a problem although we could hear.

The room stinks so bad , it should be non smoking room but probably somebody who lived there before us smoked , and not original cigarets but some CBD things , and we can’t breathe in the room , and were forced to be outside as long as we could. We told about that on reception , and housekeeper did spray two times but it didn’t help at all. So we asked to change the room , but we were only 2 nights so they didn’t let us change it . Overall is ok. But it probably were our first and last time to staying there .

Pros: -Near the beach -Friendly staff -Spacious rooms -Comfortable beds Cons: -Very “thin walls” easy to hear any noise from the halls or other rooms -super slow elevators (rides and wait times regularly 10 or more minutes) not as much of a problem of your room is on a low floor but we were on the 20th. - Area the hotel is literally on the beach which is awesome, but aside from that the location is terrible. The area is a mix of okay looking hotels/resorts and rundown properties (hotels, minimarts, restaurants, etc..) it’s a mile or more walk to most of the attractions and the boardwalk. Renting a car is a must.

The beds were the worst part of the trip. The resort was very nice. First night tried to sleep in the main bed hard as a rock. 2nd night tried to sleep in the murphy bed still no sleep hardly. Third night we even tried the sofa sleeper to no avail 3 days maybe 6 hours sleep. But the resort was very nice and we did sleep in pool chairs.

Unfortunately my wife and I could no longer deal with the dope smokers beside us. People have no consideration at all and couldn’t care less. We could only deal with these pathetic individuals for one day. The worst part was when we decided to leave a day early and Paradise Resort offered no remedy whatsoever. They were not even close to being sold out and could have offered to at least move us. No offer for any type of refund but there were sure glad to keep our money. A move to another room might have been a nice compromise. Paradise Resort does not enforce their own rules and we will not return.

Third time here. I love this place! Plenty of pool space. Lazy river, steps to the beach, pool bar, breakfast buffet available. I believe it's around $15 per person. Front desk staff VERY friendly and helpful. ONLY complaint I have is the lady running the bar Saturday is NOT friendly. She doesn't smile. Even when asked how her day was she just stared at us like we were stupid. She is rude when she is taking your order. Another customer beside me was waiting to order. Bartender asked what her order was. Customer said I think they were in front of me, and pointed to some other people. She said I asked YOU because they already ordered. That customer looked over and me and I just shook my head. She works in the breakfast buffet as well. She was very short with me that morning in there too, but not as bad as she was serving people at the bar. There were numerous people saying how rude they were treated. She is NOT an indication of anyone or anything else at this hotel. I'm sure they will correct her behavior. Everyone has a bad day, but hers didn't seem to get any better by the end of her shift. EXCELLENT stay! We will be back!

Old school hotel in Myrtle beach. I was here for business. If, like me, you need to be in North Myrtle Beach, it’s not a good location. Traffic is bad in the area and it’s 21 miles and an hour to get to the north. Parking at Paradise is awkward, get there early or you will be parking across the street. Check in was uninspiring. The big guy was generic like I was checking into a truck stop. The good news is that everyone I met after was friendly and engaging. Housekeeping might have been the nicest people I ever met and the lady at checkout was sweet and friendly. The room was a great location with a great view. The hotel is in the beach and have plenty of activities, which I couldn’t participate, due to the business nature of my trip. Due to location, I’m not sure I’d stay again

Poorly managed facility. When it takes 40 minutes just to get checked in when the line is only 4 deep, second thoughts about our decision to stay kinda develop, and those same thoughts will probably cause us to look elsewhere in the future. One person at the check in counter is absurd.

When we arrived the room we were given was not the room that was booked . The front desk girls tried their hardest to say things to keep us satisfied until the manager Ross came in. Ross was condescending, rude, and extremely unhelpful. The room was right in front of the elevators and entry door. Every time it was opened it slammed shut and made a shotgun sound. The bedrooms are located next to the hallway which is right outside the elevator. Overall the experience was terrible . We wanted to stay an additional night and they could not accommodate us. I rented a hotel for half the price and it was so much better. We will never advise people to stay at the paradise resort

Booked a suite with ocean view and paid for it already. Got to hotel and they were full and they gave us a regular room with a street view and partial ocean view. No discount at all. We had no choice because we are on the road on a motorcycle and was ready to stop.

When first arriving I was greeted by the staff and given ideas for surrounding areas. The room was beyond clean and had great views of beach. If you stay here make sure you try out J-Mikes Flavor station for breakfast/lunch where I had an amazing lunch and make sure you ask about their beef jerky and seasonings. The resort gave me a wristlet that acted as a key and was waterproof which was great while using the pool and jacuzzi. The location was right on the strip which was very nice. I also recommend going to Tupelo Honey in the Grand Strand aka Market Common, Cafe Old Vienna which was a German restaurant with great food/music, and New York Prime which was a great ending to my vacation. The resort held my bags while I got to enjoy Myrtle Beach on my last day and was so welcoming that I will be returning soon!!! Yes there are children and families in the resort but when in your room you will hear nothing. They also have smart tvs in the rooms which you can sign into your Netflix and Amazon accounts. Must stay in my book and thank you Paradise Resort for giving me a great stay!!!!!

Hotel has easy access to beach and nice pool. Very clean rooms and bathroom. Great condition. Ample parking between garage and parking lot across the street (literally across the street and was our preference to park in). Lots of luggage carts and check in under 10 minutes right at check in time. Hotel is a bit away from the boardwalk but is great to be a bit away from the crowds.

None of the furniture or beds were very comfortable, but its nuce to have a unit instead if just a hotel room. I think complimentary coffee would be a nice touch.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay for the most part. We like the fact that they gave us wristbands instead of door keys and made it more convenient. I liked and disliked all at the same time the fact that you were able to park your car in the garage and go through the doors and were on the floor of your room but I was also a little concerned about security for the same reason. We enjoy the pool area The Lazy River was just a little smaller than what I had anticipated. The only thing I was really disappointed in was the restaurant that was on site was always closed.

Check in was quick and the staff were very nice. The room was clean and the food at the Tiki bar was tasty. The bartender at the Tiki bar was friendly, and she made us feel like family. I did not like that there were always unattended children in the hot tub. The hot tub was the only reason I booked there so I was very disappointed that it was always filled with kids. It was nice and I liked how they had a dj, karaoke Thursday Friday and Saturday. The tiki bar was also great and the bartender was very nice to us and made great drinks! Being right in the beach is always an easy and relaxing time walking to it.

The room was very nice, pool area and accessibility to the beach was great. Breakfast buffet was okay. Would go back, only negative was that housekeeping was just providing fresh towels. There was a lot of sand on the floors and no broom. We tried to ask one morning to have the floor swept,but it didn’t happen. Had to call the front desk for toilet paper because it was never restocked.

The staff is incredible. All were very helpful. We would stay here again. Restaurant should be open more hours. You can order at the bar, but it would have been nice to sit in the restaurant to eat more than just breakfast. Maybe this is just a staffing issue.

This was my 2nd time visiting the Hotel the 1st time was a charm and that was last year and i must say it has went downhill since then. The dining room furniture was wayyy to big for the room, and outdated and missing the trim around the table, the dining chairs was VERY soiled to the point were we didn't even want to sit in them, the living room furniture was dirty and had cigarette holes in it, the stove was rusty, the pillows in the king size bedroom were soiled, the tv in the living room did not work half the time. We had trouble with one of the bathrooms and when we called to the front desk they said we will send up a plunger, but we got it unstopped. There was NO broom or dust pan in the room in case there was something that needed to be swept up. We had to ask for bathroom tissue several times, the light fixtures and ceiling fan blades were filthy. The breakfast bar food did not look appetizing at all, the oatmeal and grits you could have used a straw the eat them, i was not pleased at all. I will not be staying here anymore moving forward. A very different experience from the 1st stay

Staff very friendly at check in and when randomly running into them in the halls. The partial ocean view was perfect. Room was huge, plenty of room to store everything. Room was sandy, but very clean. I can’t complain about sand. Will definitely return!

rooms were clean, staff was accommodating and friendly. beautiful views. pools could be skimmed more often but it’s understandable why it’s not cause people were always in it. they have multiple pools for little ones, a jacuzzi, hot tub and an indoor and outdoor pool.

the only problem i had was with the super squeaky bed. The food, the drinks, the staff and the view from my room were all amazing. Definitely worth the money for my stay.

Room was clean. Staff was helpful. Really enjoyed Karaoke and music in pool area. Proximity to beach was great.
