Service was friendly, property & room were clean. Hallways were a little dim. Smell was just a little musty. Not offensive, but a little better ventilation would probably cure it. Breakfast area was roomy & nice, food on par with similar properties. Parking cramped but adequate. I’d stay there again.

Hotel was very clean. My car was vandalized in the parking lot and they had no cameras located anywhere outside. Front desk was very helpful with the situation called police for me and gave me supplies to get home with. Overall clean hotel and great staff but would definitely recommend cameras or security for the area.

We were in town for a visit to UK and were able to rest up here. The hotel is very near campus, would have been walkable in nicer weather. It was a quiet, clean and comfortable stay. The free breakfast and fitness center were appreciated.

Close to campus but not the nicest spot. If you are visiting town this isn’t super close to much - maybe the casino? But as all HI Express, if you just need a warm bed, a warm breakfast and free parking this is absolutely perfect. Simple and convenient.

Good stay, very comfortable rooms, and the breakfast was well maintained and had a wide variety of options, including gluten-free muffins. The only concern I had with the hotel is the hotel is technically smoke free but for those who want to smoke, they simply have to sit on a bench next to the front door so everyone entering the hotel has to walk past the collection of guys drinking beer, smoking cigarettes, and the cloud of smoke they create. It would be nice if the hotel moved the smoking area away from right next to the front door.

The room was dark. The carpet was stained. We felt dirty being in the room and using the bathroom and walking on the floor. The last night the phone kept ringing. It would ring and only static was there when we picked up. It happened 7 times that night from midnight until morning. The only advice given to us from staff was to disconnect the phone. But we couldn't do that because the jack for the phone was broken off and we couldn't unplug it. When we arrived in the evening each night, only parking spots in the back of the building were open which wouldn't be a problem but they designated the back door for exit only so we had to walk around the entire hotel to the front to get in. That is difficult when carrying multiple things in.

Staff was friendly, but it was like going back in time 20 years. The carpets had major stains not just in the rooms, but in the halls, etc. the bathrooms hadn't been CLEANED IN it's hard to tell how long. I wouldn't go back again.

We enjoyed staying here except for one thing- our room smelled like dirty feet. I went to the front desk to ask for sanitizing spray and deodorant spray, and the receptionist gave me both, which I used in the room. The smell continued so the next day I ask housekeeping if something could be done but it stunk the entire stay, and the place was full, so we had to deal with it. On the positives, breakfast was great and the staff were friendly. I would stay here again but in a different room.

Upstairs neighbors sounded like they were having a clogging competition. Was so loud in our room it woke us up. Also heard a lot in the hallways. Sounds isolation in the rooms was basically non-existent. Otherwise hotel and breakfast was fine

The lighting in the room was bad. The lighting in the bathroom was terrible. The room was just DARK. The only place to hang cloths was in a cabinet that also held the iron and ironing board. We couldn't hang all of our clothes. The TV was way off to one side of the room and not in front of the beds. Some kind of wooden thing on the wall that was probably sold as "art". My wife sat on the chair in the room and it was wet. I went to the desk and was told that they could not give us another chair. Really! I asked for and was given a couple of extra towels to put on the chair and soke up the wetness. Really! On a brighter side, the breakfast was GREAT. The person handling the breakfast was thoughtful, nice and did a good job.

I have stayed here many times last time we spent four nights because of my mothers surgery at UK extremely close drive to the hospital tons of places to eat with getting in your car to drive hotel was extremely clean and staff is absolutely amazing only complaint was the internet was always weak but other than that it’s perfect !!!

Staff was great when checking in. Room was very spacious and bed was comfortable. I would have liked a few more options for breakfast, but it was adequate. I also like that they use actual full size bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash… no need to squeeze out product from a tiny plastic bottle.

The hotel was basically clean, but felt like it needed a facelift. Did not seem as nice as other Holiday Inns. Staff was nice but not engaging. Most did not even acknowledge when we walked in or out of the hotel. Can't really complain but think there are better options. I will say the location was excellent.

It was fine for a short stay. The front desk staff wasn't very friendly. We couldn't even find anyone to check us out the next morning. There was no trash can in the room except for the one in the bathroom. The breakfast was better than most hotel free breakfast.

Area was not safe, as we were given a note, card, listing all of the things not to leave in our car when we checked in. I saw a few cars pull into the parking lot stop for a few minutes and then leave. The room needed updating. It was very worn. We found several tissues under the pillows and several hairs in the bed. The hotel is right next to train tracks and across the street from the hospital. The front desk employee was very kind.

This hotel is in prime location for walking to events down town. I parked my truck on Friday and was able to walk to dinner, the football game on Saturday, and then breakfast at First Watch on Sunday. I will definitely stay here again next football season. There is also a good availability of Ubers in the area that stay out late.

I’ve stayed at this location multiple times due its proximity to the hospital. It is always clean and quiet. This was my first trip eating breakfast, but it’s just a basic Grab and Go Breakfast of some omelettes, biscuits, sausage, muffins, cereal etc..
